I'm a new subscriber .To some extent I can identify with aspects of your Mother's views. It may possibly be linked with the need to be perfect and been too self-critical . A general sense of not being good enough sometimes translated as low self esteem. These are all aspects I have to continually challenge everyday. I have found learning to be true to oneself canbe a way to move towards greater inner peace. 😊
