I agree. Loved Harbaugh. I remember being on cloud 9 the day he signed back in 2014. I just knew he would win the big 10 again and bring us back to relevance. The fact that he won it 3 times and threw in a natty was icing on the cake. But i was getting tired of EVERY SINGLE YEAR of him talking to or going on a visit to a NFL team. No other college coach EVER did that. They were either in or out and would make that decision pretty fast. And i just hated how he went back on his word. It was a serious swift kick to the junk. Will we ever get a coach as good as him ever again? Maybe. Maybe not. But I'm just glad they finally ripped off the band aid and now we can get on with the future. Thanks Harbaugh for everything but not for holding us hostage every year. Lets try to get a coach who is commited to staying instead of using us for leverage.

Totally the way I feel, just rip off the band-aid. Hope Michigan can keep things going forward!

Loved Harbaugh, but the drama this past year and his propensity to flirt with the nfl robbed me of the pure euphoria I feel a national championship season should bring a fan who suffered through Rich-Rod and Brady Hoke.

I blame Manuel for this departure...
and point to 2020 when Ward publicly embarrased Harbaugh by slashing his contract.
I never felt Manuel trully wanted Harbaugh around.

Wasn't it Jim Hackett who hired Jim? So there was no real connection between them, i.e. Jim was HIS guy. Ward was weak in support going all the way back to 2016 when Jim made public comments after the Ohio State game - the 'spot' game and Ward said nothing to back Jim. And then, yes, the humiliation to punish Jim for the covid year results. Everyone wants to feel appreciated. I don't know if Jim did. But to flip the coin, Jim also said he would be happy to be at Michigan as long as they wanted him, and then looked at the NFL for the next 2 offseason. So it may be that both men were not so honorable. If I were to fill the 'blame game balance', Ward's side is WAY heavier than Jim's side, though.

I hope Michigan can take some of that HC money and give it to Minter to keep him in Michigan for a few more years. Jay, too.

Don't let her know she could be on TV...that would seal the deal for her! Yeah, he led Michigan to the title. Thanks for the return to glory! Go with the Super Bowl!
