3 different coaches have won national championships at LSU in the last 20 years. Two of them were Les Miles and Coach O. Kelly is going to be very good here.
As an LSU fan I was pleasantly surprised he had the 1st year that he had. He exceeded expectations in year 1. Considering the division is wide open I wouldn't be surprised if he somehow won the division again.
He exceeded your low expectations because you bought into the Vegas hype. However, he didn't exceed my expectations last year because I didn't buy into the Vegas hype last year like you obviously did. In fact, had he named Garrett Nussmeier the starter at QB last year, not only would LSU have won more games and by wider margins, but unlike the very one-dimensional run first pass second sack machine JD5 was incapable of doing last year, Nuss would have successfully leveraged that best in the SEC WR room last season by leading the SEC in yards passing and in TD passes thrown. Moreover, if he is too stupid to name Garrett Nussmeier the starter at QB before the end of the spring because he is too afraid to be perceived as being a racist, then not only will Nuss be starting in 2023 for another head football coach not named Brian Kelly, but LSU's one-dimensional offense with JD5 as the starter in 2023 will be very easy to stop because JD5 can't hurt anyone with his arm.

I’m still not convinced he’ll be able to win it all there, but don’t think it’s impossible either. He’s a damn good coach and anyone who says otherwise is being willfully ignorant. Curious to see if his seemingly reinvigorated efforts in recruiting last or if he falls back into his habits that he had at ND. That will be the deciding factor for him imo. He will naturally get more talent at LSU too given the location and the conference. But still something I’m curious to see.
If Les Miles and Ed Orgeron were able to win championships there trust me BK will win multiple championships. And as for as recruiting LSU recruits itself.
