I mean if I’m being honest I think he should’ve been fired the second after he hit the Wisconsin assistant coach. He’s an absolute child and an embarrassment to The University of Michigan. Even Woody Hayes was fired the moment he engaged in a similar act

Yeah, I meant to bring that up in the video. Howard had an undeserved LONG leash. Thanks for posting it here.

When Beilein left Michigan in a lurch, I was expecting Saddi Washington to get the job. He was kept by Juwan and later turned down a head coaching job at Western Michigan to stay. Ironically, he was a volunteer coach at Romulus Senior High School under current Alabama head coach Nate Oats, who some have suggested Michigan should target.
Do you think he could be a candidate?
Personally, I've been a big fan of what Shaka Smart has done with VCU, Texas and now at Marquette.
He's only 46 and highly regarded for culture. He would be my pick. (An aside, there were rumors he and Billy Donovan were potential candidates to replace Beilein. I wonder what Billy Donovan is up to.)

I would be all for kicking the tires on Smart. I just would wonder if he would leave a program he has helped build up to the (current) #10 team in the country to come to Michigan? Looking at his record, he only finished 1 season at Texas (there for 6 years) with a final AP ranking in the top-25 one time, coincidently the last year he was there. Not knowing the full story it makes me wonder if he left Texas after his 'good' year to get paid? Is Marquette a top job? Could money pull him away?

Yeah just not ready to be a head coach.. He strived when he had Beilen's talent.. do we get Beilen back?!! The pivotal point of his career was when he couldn't come up with a play to win the game against UCLA in the tourney.. I think that is when head coaches realized he just doesn't make good adjustments. Do we lose recruits.. unfortunately, I think Michigan basketball won't be good going forward for a while with or without Howard..

Thank god michigan has a brain . But i dont know why you hire someone with no head coaching experience cost the team heavily with its sanctions of course today there paying players but michigan got to hasty with his hire not too happy how Belein abruptly left michigan . Its already shown many great players dont do well being a head coach plus with NIL its tough tocoach these days but bottom line he lacks coaching abilities in late game plus now the team.was totally an abyss turnovers defense fundsmentals nah hes not good at it

Nice summary of the Howard history. Sad. It started well, but went downhill recently.

Sadly, wish it would have been the fairy tale ending that football enjoyed this past season with Harbaugh.
