I was Born in Springfield at Wesson Woman’s Hospital (totally dating myself here!) Happiest years of my life spent in West Springfield. A lifetime ago. So happy I found this channel. Main food memory: White Hut on Memorial Ave. with my beloved, fabulous, Grandmama. Hamburger with everything (mustard, white onion, sweet relish) and a small carton of Hood’s chocolate milk. Heaven on earth. Beautiful days. I am so grateful. All the best to my fellow Springfield countrymen!

I used to go into Mom & Rico's when I went to the old skills center in the south end. It used to smell putrid because of the salt cod and stuff but they made a good grinder
I don't think you can get that anywhere in Massachusetts I've been around the block a few times "Mama Rico's the future" you might as well go to Broca's
Hell yeah I'm black from the top of the hill but I love coming to the south end Frigos Mom and Rico's love it from a Raider in the TFL TO THE SOUTH END SAINTS MAD LOVE ALL YALL OLD SCHOOL TFL HEADS KNOW WHAT IM TALKING BOUT I CHASED THAT GRASSO KID ON THE FIELD FOR YEARS NEVER CAUGHT HIM LOVE YALL YO.... Have a great Italian Deli in my neighborhood (who doesn’t) it’s small and doesn’t have as much variety as this one, but I will put his Shrimp and Linguine (red or white) up against ANYONES. PS it’s only $12 and is enough for 2.
