When I do pencil drawings I tend to do color last rather than so early on and have the lines all figured out before coloring. This is interesting to see.

I am so used to drawing in pencil so it is interesting doing color so early on when adding more lines once color has been added.

Okay, so a) Love your studies - the eye was super stylised and your layering and chosen limited palette for the study were pretty damn cool b) I recently sent in a set of three hand studies to Incognito Art show, v similar kind of vibe c) You should def do Incognito each year if you don't already AND d) we should go for a coffee and trade tips on how we can "loosen up" our work. I'm guessing somewhere around Beaumont St would be half way for us both. You know what Newy is like, we probably know at least twenty of the same people 😆😎. Great vid. Love the pace and it's lovely hearing an Aussie voice for a change 😊👍🏻

At first when you started coloring the eye it looked like Birds Eye to me till you started adding the skin tones.

When you say limited colors pallet what are you talking about? Like 2 or 3 colors? Like black, peach, and white?

yeah, just choosing a few colours and only working with those throughout a piece.

What happened in 2023 for you that you were not as productive in art? I imagined that you just had a lot of family things going on.

family, 60hr work weeks, plus fulltime study :) so I can't be too hard on myself for that one.
