Having a lot of fun with AstroBot super loving it. I still think FF7R is my GOTY, because it means so much to me, putting so 200+ hours in, even meeting the voice actors and developers, a
You already know I'm one of those Nintendo fans that needs a PS5 just for Astrobot. I am sold! However I want to wait to see if that rumored PS5 Pro is a legitimate thing.
Great video! Right when I wanted to sell my PS5 because of its lack of exclusives, this game comes out 😂. If it really is the next closest thing to Mario Galaxy 3, I definitely need to check it out. I agree that Sony needs more 3D platformers. I barely played Spyro and Crash and they’re incredible, and I think those are some of the most fun games out there. We can’t keep constantly make AAA big budget action games that are trying to one up each other. As we’ve seen with Concord the same formulas aren’t gonna last forever, but retreading old franchises with remasters/remakes/etc aren’t a permanent fix either.
Live-action slop isn't what built Sony's foundations or legacy. It was titles like Crash Bandicoot, Ape Escape, Spyro, Jak and Daxter, Ratchet and Clank, Sly Cooper, etc. Fun, colorful games with endearing characters that are still fondly remembered today - which is why Astro Bot is stuffed to the gills with references to these characters. These are the things gamers remember and still want more of. These characters and games are deeply and fondly remembered even decades later. There's a reason for that and it's not blind nostalgia. It's because these games were _fun._ Live-service hero shooter titles are a phase. Endearing characters and universally fun gameplay are what build legacies and generate sales. Nintendo figured this out a long time ago. You don't abandon what helped build your legacy. You keep delivering and innovating with them while also creating new franchises. Sony lost themselves abandoning the characters that helped make them a household name.
I KNEW that game was special when I tried it out at PAX. Great to see the insane reaction to it.

Astro bot is from the passionate side of Sony, Concord is from the money side.
couldn't be better said!
@@DManGaming18 Yeah I hope that they make more good simple games like this
Ones from the normal side, ones from the woke side
