What I love is how the Symbiote doesn't just make Peter mad, it just brings out the anger already in him. (Edit: I can't believe I have to explain this to you cuz people don't seem to get it. There's a common misconception that the Symbiote just simply makes Peter angry whenever he puts it on, from his behavior here in the game, it's more accurate to the idea that the symbiote only influences Peter to not hold back his *own* anger.)
that's basically what the symbiote is, it doesn't actually make people mad or violent, it just let's their anger out, it releases all stress and anger by dictating what to do, basically the symbiote is like a guide to not actually having issues, u can see it in spectacular spider-man. I think most people didn't know cuz I didn't.
One tiny detail that I absolutely love is that when Miles saves the fisherman from getting shot, you can see that he had a fish on the line because it gets pulled out of the water when Miles webs the guy to the wall. Such a tiny detail they didn't need to add but did anyway. You can tell how much passion is in this game and I'm so excited to play it.

The yellow electricity always made more sense to me. That's what he originally had in the comics. What's the point of changing it? If there's a reason then fine.

Another thing I noticed about Pete’s mood is that in his basic attack combo, instead of doing a kick second he goes in for a more deadly left hook and then a more powerful kick, showing he cares less about enemies’ damage
2023 is unironically going to be remembered as one of the greatest years for video games in history. Seriously, go look at a list of every game that released this year and most of them are straight bangers. It's insanity.

Wait let me describe it fully so symbiote tries to cover together but miles electricity saves together which basically means.... kind of not so sure i mean peter and miles will be together fighting venom (i mean it should be obvious by now)
One thing I noticed that honestly makes a big difference to me gameplay wise. It’s how the camera moves not only faster but more intimately with the action to give a more cinematic feeling, it’s more seamless and less limiting then the last games.
They did a similar thing with Miles Morales where it was just subtle gameplay changes that just made everything feel smoother. In MM they changed mid air dodging ( pressing circle ) to instantly put you back into the swinging also being on a wall and pressing the jump button allowed you to instantly go into swinging. Both of these were not in 2018. Insomniac really cares about genuinely improving upon what they already have you already know this Wolverine are about to go crazy 🔥
Gotta love the tiny details like peter getting more and more aggressive not just physically but verbally he sounds constantly angry,impatient and ready to kill
@@Ethathoo69420 I knew it was unnecessary roughness when Miles did that double take on Peter and the guy. Normal Pete wouldve held onto him a tad longer to kill the momentum and probably ask if he’s alright.
Most impressive thing about this trailer is that he was talking to a character in the open world, then he got to his mission marker, and it actually let the conversation finish.
Just a few things I noticed. The HUDs for Miles and Peter are different, with Peter having a rather clinical and bland one while Miles has a bit of a retro-y vibe. Second, it seems both Miles and Peter have Focus bars instead of Venom for Miles, and they both have rechargeable abilities. Speaking of those abilities, they seem to emulate the actions of the main button, like in Miles Morales with the Venom abilities. For example, L1 + Square for Peter is like a massively overpowered symbiotic punch, like the regular punch with square.
Have you seen 8:15? What I noticed is the horrible level of graphical detail, the water feels like a game of 15 years ago. Unbearable to watch, what did they do?!?

The way Spider-Man threw the guy to the ground after swooping in to save him had Miles looking very confused. This little bit of extraordinary game play makes you wonder what the whole game is gonna be like. Anticipation of the game release is off the charts 💯
I'm loving how this is going. I didn't expect to see the Lizard but I am not surprised, especially if Kraven's running around. The brooding/dark tone in Peter's voice is awesome. The black suit gameplay gives me Web of Shadow vibes. Miles and Peter are going to have a head-to-head in this one.
Web of Shadows was one of the few Spider-Man games that focused gameplay on the symbiote, so it makes sense to take inspiration from that and put their own twist on it
I love how they not only display the power of the black suit, but the ferocity in which it brings out of Peter. You can tell he's pulling his punches less here.
I am absolutely in love with how the black suit is like how it was in Web of Shadows. He could switch to it at will, crazy tendril attacks, and the suit overall just looks freaking gorgeous. I am hyped like there's no tomorrow
5:05 I don’t know if they did this intentionally or not, but Miles getting caught off guard by Peter right here and not sensing him is great attention to detail since the symbiote is immune to spider-sense
After seeing Spiderman 2018 and Miles morales 2021 and now this. I have faith that insomniac should truly be in charge for any super hero game they want to make. They’ve earned it going high and beyond for what players truly want. New York feels so much bigger and more alive having a whole section of Queens now just as we did for miles with Harlem the ambience and vibe of the game is giving me web of shadows vibes

That is so subtle that so many people could’ve missed it; Peter is very conscious of how he handles any civilian during his battles, just aggressively throwing him like that is very telling
I literally timestamped this moment as I noticed it too. Love that detail. I half expected Miles to ask if the guy was ok after being plonked down like that. Can't wait for this game.
Love the new gameplay elements; the gliding should make the already incredible traversal even better, and I love that we get to switch between Miles and Peter.
And I bet they still will add a fast travel system to the game which no one is ever going to use outside the mandatory one time. It makes you use it for tutorial 😂

Between this and Spider-Verse this year, its great to see Spider-Man as a character is still thriving. Its amazing that five years after Stan Lee and Steve Ditko passed, that their character is still successful in pop culture.
9:55 look at the perfect mimic, Miles thinked: "Why you throw him like that? Is still a person, bro!". This is the best part of the video, attention to details at his maximum.
I can imagine maybe Ganke's mom or a friend walking into the house/apartment and just hear Ganke screaming from his room with absolute passion and motivation like he's charging into the most epic final battle of the century
It was really cool how at 10:16 when peter said "So do I" his eyes became slightly jagged like the venom eyes. It would be cool if throughout the game, the longer he has the suit, and the more aggressive he gets, there's more flashes of venom progressively growing in the suit. Like maybe later in the game when peter does something destructive or angry, there's even more jagged parts in his eyes, or you see a small tooth or two form, or maybe for a second you see claws on his hand at different parts of the game, and only for a second like in this scene.
I love the design of the symbiote here, rather than just being some latex skin, they actually added details to it which makes it look more alien-like rather than just a reskin of a suit
@@whosnamed If you compare the suit now to the other symbiotic suits in other games youll notice this one has more slimy textures making it look more like a skin attached to peter which it is, plus it makes the tentacles that show up look more natural as a result

I can't wait to see the rift between Peter and Miles grow. We've seen Peter turn into someone he's not with the Symbiote and push people away, but never with Miles. It will be amazing to see how it effects him
Symbiote is controlling his mind and body like a puppet hoping the fight between Miles and Spiderman will bring the same emotion as when Spiderman fought doctor Octavius
I like how he can still be chill around miles or in situations that don’t bring out some sort of frustration to him but as soon as he gets into a fight he goes on demon time
I think even then he does little things that are not evil but just kind of rude like cutting off miles in the beginning during their phone call to get straight to the situation. Dropping that dude he saved from the helicopter wreckage. Again they're not evil or anything but different from Peter's usual engagements
Yea he will get progressively worse throughout the game till the symbiote eventually is separated from him and put onto Brock then the real fun starts!
A detail that I love is that when Peter saved the person at minute 9:54 Miles stared at him (like Dude, what happened?) because normally Spider-Man would have asked the civilian if he was okay or if he was hurt but he didn't say anything, even the way he saves it is like he's thrown on the ground
I have noticed that too, the symbiote is a beast and i absolutely love that they are taking advantage of how the PS5 system is powerful, I am so ready to play this game.
the violent behavior and the aggressive tone in peter’s speech show that he probably had the symbiote suit for at least some time before this part. also the design is absolutely breathtaking and i can’t wait to see more

It feels like there will be one because if you see the ending it says " be greater together" with the symbiote starting to infect the "Together" and then miles blue electric shot blasting it away and clearing it away, so there might just be a boss fight
Honestly I hope we get to see just how terrifying Peter can be when all the safeties are gone. Show Miles how much he's holding back everytime he fights a bad guy. It'd be funny if Kraven gets to see it too and realize just how in over his head he is and now he's become the spider's prey.
Hunter becomes the hunted, but seriously Kraven would be all for that, that's basically what he wanted in TASM2 game, to bring out the killer instinct in Peter which is very present here.
Bro I can't get over the aggression captured in Peter's voice, with his previously known major role being Sasuke, Yuri Lowenthal is probably one of the, if not best voice over fits for this universe and version of Peter. This combat is insane, so much more advanced, and is reminiscent of web of shadows. I can't wait to see more updates that lead up to its eventual release. If this will come out as a PS5 bundle, im definitely putting my money towards it.
I think it's cringe personally, I like the subtle behaviour like not reassuring the man he saves and snatching the tech from miles but the voice is absolutely too on the nose

Cool detail is at 10:00 Pete says “He got away from us” before miles is there, and when miles lands next to him he seems surprised that he’s there. Symbiote kicking in
2:05 you can tell the symbiote really affected Peter's personality when it comes to conversations. Normal Peter will finish the conversation. Symbiote Peter interrupts and ends the conversation and tells him to hurry up and you can see Miles seemed confused because he knows Peter is not like that
They are really doing everything Spider-Man so well lately. He was always my favorite hero growing up but in the past 10 or so years this franchise never ceases to amaze!
Honestly... after playing through this mission, I'm honestly a bit dissapointed with how the mission was handled. Yeah they had to cut down on some stuff for this gameplay reveal, however, there were a couple of things that didn't really need to be cut, such as Peter rushing Miles, and a bunch of other things
Man, props to Sony/Insomniac for this. Most games won’t even show gameplay trailers anymore because games release unfinished all the time now. They were confident enough to drop 10 full minutes of gameplay months before the game’s release. This looks absolutely amazing and gives me a ton of hype for this game! I mean… fundamentally it’s the same game they released 5 years ago with stuff added on top. If they’ve made a new game from scratch they wouldn’t have gameplay to show right now. I’m not complaining, just stating the fact that a lot of the work in this game was completed a long time ago.

The guy was praising Insomniac for putting gameplay in their trailer (which every trailer should do by the way) but there was barely any gameplay there. It's all very scripted and basic. The guy who played this must have pressed 2 buttons the whole time. About what you said though, I don't agree. 5 years is enough time to make a new game from scratch, if not complete, at least major sections of it. Meaning they could show it on a trailer. Kh3 development lasted 6 years and they made every single thing from scratch, and even had to restart and use a new engine. If they hadn't wasted time with the unnecessary Miles Morales, probably split the staff to work on Wolverine, they could have made a new game.
Spider-Man is the perfect embodiment of the quote “Beware the anger of a gentle man” That line “So do I” gave me chills. I’m really looking forward to seeing how they show the symbiote changing Peter’s personality.
I really hope they have a better explanation for it beyond “living liquid personality enshittener.” I don’t think the Venom movies are particularly well-made, but the symbiote having its own personality and voice allowing it to actually engage with other characters independent of its host was great
@@dimension-121I don’t think that’s what they mean lol, here, I’ll provide an example, like in spectacular Spider-Man, the symbiote controls Peter’s body while he’s asleep to fight the sinister six, since Peter has more power than the symbiote, who’s still feeding, it still fights crime but it tries to kill the sinister six and it even tries to jab one of Ock’s robot arms into Ock’s face but the police stop him
I absolutely love how not just the suit has the organic texture but eyes too and not just modified lenses, it really makes it feel more alive and not just a recolored suit
Personally I don’t like the “armored” smoother sections, I’d like a entirely tendrily suit or a entirely smooth one. The contrast of the two is too much imo.

The "armored" side is peter suppressing it and making it more like a suit while the suit becomes more life like(more tendrils) to merge with him. If the suit is in control then it will become entirely smooth like venom while it will just become a recolored suit if peter is in control. Imagine if the suit evolves through the game. It starts out as exactly like a recolored suit but the more it spends time with peter the more it becomes alive.

One thing I noticed that honestly makes a big difference to me gameplay wise. It’s how the camera moves not only faster but more intimately with the action to give a more cinematic feeling, it’s more seamless and less limiting then the last games.
It's amazing. Insominac really GET the character.

They did a similar thing with Miles Morales where it was just subtle gameplay changes that just made everything feel smoother. In MM they changed mid air dodging ( pressing circle ) to instantly put you back into the swinging also being on a wall and pressing the jump button allowed you to instantly go into swinging. Both of these were not in 2018. Insomniac really cares about genuinely improving upon what they already have you already know this Wolverine are about to go crazy 🔥

Just a few things I noticed. The HUDs for Miles and Peter are different, with Peter having a rather clinical and bland one while Miles has a bit of a retro-y vibe. Second, it seems both Miles and Peter have Focus bars instead of Venom for Miles, and they both have rechargeable abilities. Speaking of those abilities, they seem to emulate the actions of the main button, like in Miles Morales with the Venom abilities. For example, L1 + Square for Peter is like a massively overpowered symbiotic punch, like the regular punch with square.

The way Spider-Man threw the guy to the ground after swooping in to save him had Miles looking very confused. This little bit of extraordinary game play makes you wonder what the whole game is gonna be like. Anticipation of the game release is off the charts 💯

Even with the aggressive tone in attitude and speech, the most subtle display of Peter’s impending unhinged behavior is how he threw the civilian in the ground after he saved him. That is so subtle that so many people could’ve missed it; Peter is very conscious of how he handles any civilian during his battles, just aggressively throwing him like that is very telling

It was really cool how at 10:16 when peter said "So do I" his eyes became slightly jagged like the venom eyes. It would be cool if throughout the game, the longer he has the suit, and the more aggressive he gets, there's more flashes of venom progressively growing in the suit. Like maybe later in the game when peter does something destructive or angry, there's even more jagged parts in his eyes, or you see a small tooth or two form, or maybe for a second you see claws on his hand at different parts of the game, and only for a second like in this scene.
If you actually look at his eyes more closely you can see it slowly writhe, same goes the whole suit really!

@@whosnamed If you compare the suit now to the other symbiotic suits in other games youll notice this one has more slimy textures making it look more like a skin attached to peter which it is, plus it makes the tentacles that show up look more natural as a result

I think even then he does little things that are not evil but just kind of rude like cutting off miles in the beginning during their phone call to get straight to the situation. A detail that I love is that when Peter saved the person at minute 9:54 Miles stared at him (like Dude, what happened?) because normally Spider-Man would have asked the civilian if he was okay or if he was hurt but he didn't say anything, even the way he saves it is like he's thrown on the ground

It's not "venom" at all, it's the SYMBIOTE, the venom movie WRONGFULLY called the symbiote itself venom just to give the thing a name but really it's when it's the combination of eddie brock AND the symbiote that MAKES Venom. By itself, it's just called the symbiote. But the venom movies wrongfully called the symbiote that and it gave public audiences the wrong name idea. You call it “the black suit Peter Parker/Spider-Man” in that respect!

Honestly I hope we get to see just how terrifying Peter can be when all the safeties are gone. Show Miles how much he's holding back everytime he fights a bad guy.
It'd be funny if Kraven gets to see it too and realize just how in over his head he is and now he's become the spider's prey.
Hunter becomes the hunted, but seriously Kraven would be all for that, that's basically what he wanted in TASM2 game, to bring out the killer instinct in Peter which is very present here.

I miss the part where that's my problem or OUR PROBLEM
Bro I can't get over the aggression captured in Peter's voice, with his previously known major role being Sasuke, Yuri Lowenthal is probably one of the, if not best voice over fits for this universe and version of Peter. This combat is insane, so much more advanced, and is reminiscent of web of shadows. I can't wait to see more updates that lead up to its eventual release. If this will come out as a PS5 bundle, im definitely putting my money towards it.
While he is know for that role. I wouldn’t call it his previous major role. He’s much more traveled as a va then just Naruto.

@@Seshking69since it’s a main series game. This might have a lot of content including dlc and enemy bases. Possibly some challenges so maybe 50 to 80 hours

2:05 you can tell the symbiote really affected Peter's personality when it comes to conversations. Normal Peter will finish the conversation.
Symbiote Peter interrupts and ends the conversation and tells him to hurry up and you can see Miles seemed confused because he knows Peter is not like that

The fact the player gets to switch between Miles and Peter in the middle of a battle may be one of my favorite things already.

Honestly... after playing through this mission, I'm honestly a bit dissapointed with how the mission was handled. Yeah they had to cut down on some stuff for this gameplay reveal, however, there were a couple of things that didn't really need to be cut, such as Peter rushing Miles, and a bunch of other things
Yea its really odd how they cut alot of things that didnt need to be but i overall loved the game for what it is.

Man, props to Sony/Insomniac for this. Most games won’t even show gameplay trailers anymore because games release unfinished all the time now. They were confident enough to drop 10 full minutes of gameplay months before the game’s release. This looks absolutely amazing and gives me a ton of hype for this game!

I mean… fundamentally it’s the same game they released 5 years ago with stuff added on top. If they’ve made a new game from scratch they wouldn’t have gameplay to show right now. I’m not complaining, just stating the fact that a lot of the work in this game was completed a long time ago.

The guy was praising Insomniac for putting gameplay in their trailer (which every trailer should do by the way) but there was barely any gameplay there. It's all very scripted and basic. The guy who played this must have pressed 2 buttons the whole time. About what you said though, I don't agree. 5 years is enough time to make a new game from scratch, if not complete, at least major sections of it. Meaning they could show it on a trailer. Kh3 development lasted 6 years and they made every single thing from scratch, and even had to restart and use a new engine. If they hadn't wasted time with the unnecessary Miles Morales, probably split the staff to work on Wolverine, they could have made a new game.
It's not much gameplay, more like a scripted sequence.

I really hope they have a better explanation for it beyond “living liquid personality enshittener.” I don’t think the Venom movies are particularly well-made, but the symbiote having its own personality and voice allowing it to actually engage with other characters independent of its host was great

@@dimension-121I don’t think that’s what they mean lol, here, I’ll provide an example, like in spectacular Spider-Man, the symbiote controls Peter’s body while he’s asleep to fight the sinister six, since Peter has more power than the symbiote, who’s still feeding, it still fights crime but it tries to kill the sinister six and it even tries to jab one of Ock’s robot arms into Ock’s face but the police stop him

@@sonzu-officialmusicchannel640 I think it fits nicely tho. Peter and the suit fighting for control. The "armored" side is peter suppressing it and making it more like a suit while the suit becomes more life like(more tendrils) to merge with him. If the suit is in control then it will become entirely smooth like venom while it will just become a recolored suit if peter is in control. Imagine if the suit evolves through the game. It starts out as exactly like a recolored suit but the more it spends time with peter the more it becomes alive.
