Shunsui beat the #1 espada with just shikai and held his own against the strongest 5 sternritter in comparison kenpachi got no diff against 1 and lost in bankai to the other one (shunsui lost 2 but taking into consideration unohana was weaker then kenpachi in base while using her bankia it doesn't matter)

My problem with this is that Unohana’s stronger. She should also take abilities, but not hax. I believe it boils down to Shinsui being able to take the wounds dished out on both sides due to his bankai. Unohana, as we’ve seen, can take quite a bit of damage because of her own bankai wherein she fought Zaraki for days without healing herself. But instead, she kept reviving him. I respect Shinsui wholeheartedly, but Unohana was labeled the strongest of that generation for a reason? Is she stronger than Yama? No, not power wise. Yama’s a hammer, she’s a spear. She was the best in swordsmanship, was physically the strongest, and she only died to pass on the status of Kenpachi to Zaraki, because she saw his potential. When she declared that no one was stronger than her except for Zaraki, she meant it.

Can Unohana negate shunsui’s insta kill ability at the end stage of his bankai with her healing prowess? The fact that she can keep healing kenpachi from DEATH makes me question it. Also the scenes where they are turned into skeletons and still fighting.

I think that it'd be a close matchup personally since I think a lot of people sleep on Shunsui and just how strong he is. All things considered, it's literally Yamamoto's 'Son' versus The First Kenpachi, so kinda hard to say just who would win. Yachiru's Bankai is OP af but so is Shunsui's considering that both are unavoidable and are indiscriminate about who is targeted when unleashed. As for Shikai, I hands down believe Kyoraku's Shikai is superior.

Unohana is normal captain level in reiatsu and was the strongest captain behind Yama in the gotei since there were no skilled noble classed fighters present. Then 0 div training happened and Renji, Rukia and Byakuya went outside of what is usually possible in terms of spiritual pressure and got all forms of zankensoki and zanpakuto ability bolstered. Shunsui was already second to Unohana in pure power and skill, but Shinji was also a contender for 2nd with his unfair abilities. All three would generally be above Shunsui but Renji’s power might be too straightforward so Shunsui catching him off guard with his abilities and better skills is highly likely. Rukia is extremely deadly close range, that’s not good for any captain and Byakuya just has it all better than Shunsui. Toshiro is also normal reiatsu level but was the center of attention due to his early popularity and improved skills. His zanpakuto in bankai especially is so deadly that he’d close the gap on everyone above him. Then there’s Kenpachi who’s a monster of monsters, higher pressure than even Byakuya and raw power that doesn’t make sense in their world. Unohana could almost close up the gap on this type of power with just skill. She’s easily the type to immediately off someone who is blatantly more powerful than her because there’s that much of a skill gap. Shunsui has no chance

I think Unohana wins. Shunsui shikai barley beat Starrk. A banaki is five to ten times stronger than a shikai. Base Unohana no diffed Kenpachi who was stronger than Cien Grantz who is the strongest Espada by FAR. Also spiritual pressure negates hax as we saw in Zaraki vs Azashiro.

Personally in my honest opinion, the only reason why Shunsui will win in a fight with Yachiru Unohana is because of his Bankai. It is said that Shunsui’s Bankai is limitless with the games which means anything is possible with the type of games played. Unohana Yachiru has pretty much mastered a lot of fighting styles and her healing abilities is pretty good too, she could’ve killed Zaraki Kenpachi then and there in Muken but she knows Zaraki Kenpachi is way stronger than her and has great potential to become one of the strongest beings to exist. Zaraki didn’t even know the name of his Zanpakuto and absolutely trashed 3 Sternritters no problem. I’d also like to add on that chances are Yachiru Unohana is way faster than Shunsui in terms of speed. Similar things that Yachiru Unohana and Shunsui share is that they both use dirty tricks as a means to win a fight, they don’t care about honour in battles or wars.

My problem with this is that Unohana’s stronger. She should also take abilities, but not hax. I believe it boils down to Shinsui being able to take the wounds dished out on both sides due to his bankai. Unohana, as we’ve seen, can take quite a bit of damage because of her own bankai wherein she fought Zaraki for days without healing herself. But instead, she kept reviving him.
I respect Shinsui wholeheartedly, but Unohana was labeled the strongest of that generation for a reason? Is she stronger than Yama? No, not power wise. Yama’s a hammer, she’s a spear. She was the best in swordsmanship, was physically the strongest, and she only died to pass on the status of Kenpachi to Zaraki, because she saw his potential. Unohana is normal captain level in reiatsu and was the strongest captain behind Yama in the gotei since there were no skilled noble classed fighters present. Then 0 div training happened and Renji, Rukia and Byakuya went outside of what is usually possible in terms of spiritual pressure and got all forms of zankensoki and zanpakuto ability bolstered. Shunsui was already second to Unohana in pure power and skill, but Shinji was also a contender for 2nd with his unfair abilities. All three would generally be above Shunsui but Renji’s power might be too straightforward so Shunsui catching him off guard with his abilities and better skills is highly likely. Rukia is extremely deadly close range, that’s not good for any captain and Byakuya just has it all better than Shunsui. Toshiro is also normal reiatsu level but was the center of attention due to his early popularity and improved skills. His zanpakuto in bankai especially is so deadly that he’d close the gap on everyone above him.
Then there’s Kenpachi who’s a monster of monsters, higher pressure than even Byakuya and raw power that doesn’t make sense in their world. Unohana could almost close up the gap on this type of power with just skill. She’s easily the type to immediately off someone who is blatantly more powerful than her because there’s that much of a skill gap.

Personally in my honest opinion, the only reason why Shunsui will win in a fight with Yachiru Unohana is because of his Bankai.
It is said that Shunsui’s Bankai is limitless with the games which means anything is possible with the type of games played.
Unohana Yachiru has pretty much mastered a lot of fighting styles and her healing abilities is pretty good too, she could’ve killed Zaraki Kenpachi then and there in Muken but she knows Zaraki Kenpachi is way stronger than her and has great potential to become one of the strongest beings to exist. Zaraki didn’t even know the name of his Zanpakuto and absolutely trashed 3 Sternritters no problem.
I’d also like to add on that chances are Yachiru Unohana is way faster than Shunsui in terms of speed.
Similar things that Yachiru Unohana and Shunsui share is that they both use dirty tricks as a means to win a fight, they don’t care about honour in battles or wars.
