    sorry i have to cut this into a few segments. It is going to be so much work to make this look proper and to get it all the way i want it. The JOY of car audio is, just when i think i am happy, i get to start all over again but in reverse (the other side). uhhhhhgggg....it's ok, i am starting to get happy about it. I have idea's how i want to finish it off. It should look like it almost belongs. Catch daily updates here in the meantime >> instagram.com/meade916 thanks for watching if you did!

      The fact it's a challenge is what makes it so much fun to pursue builds like your Tahoe from back then and now the Caddilac. A Tahoe but from a higher class.

    Nothing like a bit of CAD (cardboard aided design), always the easiest way to start any build.

  • @LordPrometheous
    @LordPrometheous 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Seeing that cardboard get cut on the machine was so satisfying, like a hot knife through warm butter. Also, flexible materials that hold their shape such as pipe cleaners make it easy to get complex shapes formed quickly and easily, to then be traced onto cardboard.

  • @fuckatjunk
    @fuckatjunk 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I enjoyed seeing the start to finish. From the cardboard, to cad, to the laser, and the router.
    Truly an inspiration, as I still do cardboard, hand drawings and hand routers.
    Can’t wait to see it finished.

    Love this Caddy build! There's an issue I always ran into in the past with long term builds on modern vehicles. By the time they were finally done the vehicle was the "old" model. Now I try to plan and budget for most mods up front, even if I have to buy a lower trim level vehicle. Keep the videos coming man!

    I still haven’t brought myself to cutting my door panels. I’m not selling myself short I just lack the knowledge to do it properly, but it sure is cool to watch people who know how to do it and do it correctly. That Escalade is nice af and them door panels come out extremely nice, if I hadn’t of seen it I’d argue that they didn’t come that way.

    It takes some guts or in my case stupidity to cut up expensive door panels. I cut up in my 2011 Sierra Denali and I really didn't have a plan to begin with, I just wanted to fit 2 8's and 2 2 1/2 mids. I nearly gave up and just got some new door panels out of a wrecked truck, and I will do that some day in the far future. It looks like crap right now with the Timpano 8's and Dayton Audio mids, but I have a plan now and I can fix it. I wish I had your vision and patience, but I have ADD and it's very hard for me to finish things, but I'm working on it.

    Would this be a good idea in the future? For anyone else that wants to do this to their door card. Hit up a junk yard or a pull a part and mod that so later on, if they want the vehicle to go back to factory to sell, they still have the original to install back in their car.
