The first meter is an SMD VM-1 HV (high voltage). It is monitoring the 14v-16.5v XS Power lithium battery bank in the back (see previous video's, particularly the amp rack). The second meter is an SMD VM-1 and it monitors the front XS Power lithium battery (12v-14v) up front. The 2 OM-1 (Output Meters) are monitoring the output from the mids/highs and the subwoofer amps. The last monitor is an SMD TM-1 temperature monitor (built in fan output). It is monitoring the step down module box under the hood (see previous build video for details on that). It is crucial that it stays cool as it is stuffed with 6 XS Power step down modules to keep the higher voltage off of the Caddy itself. All of this stuff isn't just pretty, it is functional. Another work of art Steve. I wish more manufactures would put optical out on their head units as standard, these days with the way they are so integrated with the car it’s not easy to change them. Looks like on new cars like BMWs it would be impossible.

We bumped heads through an email before but I’m man enough to say it was my fault, nothing SMD did or D’Amore Engineering done. Having SMD equipment is something to be proud of

Only 2 things I personally would do is swap wood grain for carbon and more highs and mids in the back doors. Dude this truck is sick af man. Awesome job
i'm not a huge fan of the wood grain either. But i am even less of a fan of mids in the back doors. I prefer my system to actually sound good. Rear speakers will only make the fronts sound bad. I ALWAYS delete rear everything in all my cars. Thanks!

I don’t go as extreme as I used to on my audio, but all of my distribution is now and from this point will always be SMD. They are top notch quality, and made from a company that never forgot where they come from. I just got another set for my nieces car setup. And two more young ones coming up this year, so more orders to come.
