I really appreciate the “I’m not gonna go there” She actually mentioned in an interview that most of it is actually fiction and stuff she just made up to fit this narrative so it’s actually not exactly what you think it was but I’m glad you didn’t go there/ assume, great reaction!!
that being said, it’s very possible, even likely that she could have based the concept off of stuff she was feeling etc. anyways she so talented and deserves all the recognition she gets

So far all the snippets of the songs she shared on the first year of quarantine were all good! She just really have to choose wisely what single she’s going to drop or else all those masterpieces would not get as much recognition it deserves like the gross, the exception, 21st century girls, etc..

YESSSS THANK YOU!! He actually analyses every detail and goes back to check again. Others just really hypes up or hates on music/content/artists and not really adding much to it. With him, he loves it when he loves it, and if he doesnt, he is still so respectful of the artist.

We see her watching Olivia the entire time too.. you can even see that the person smashing the TVs changes from Liv to the new girl.. so I felt like the new girl could also represent the old girl. Liv seems to realize at the end that she was also the new girl at some point.. making her question the validity of the entire relationship while also seeing herself through that girls eyes. I LOVE HER SO MUCH.. she did not come to play - thanking the gods that she has graced us with her presence .. we can never have enough amazing, inspiring, relatable, strong, and honest women in this industry.. give me more !

Olivia has no idea how many people have been connected through her music. Like each time she drops a song now I’m gonna be eagerly waiting for certain vocal coaches or music producers that I discovered through Driver’s License to react to it because I feel like we’re on this weird fandom journey together, just trying to see where this girl goes with her music. Michael, I really love your reaction videos! I love that you not only notice and point out the musical and technical side of songs, but also the visual side and how the whole story is relayed. I really appreciate that 🙂
Also, I have a theory that Olivia's third single will be about breaking free from the past or something along the lines as it just seems to fit the overall story arc of her songs - first the breakup and reminiscing (driver's licence), then the realization that maybe the guy wasn't that great and she is better off without him (deja vu), and then a third song where she will show that she is better off without him and has better things ahead.
I love this MV because it makes you confuse the girls just like she's accusing the 'guy' here of doing. In the early shots it's much more clear who is who, but by the time they're both smashing TVs, it's lit and cut in such a way that unless you're laser focused on them, you can't tell who is who. It's haunting and spooky while still maintaining that retro beachy vibe that matches the song so well. I don't know how she landed such fantastic music videos so early in her career, but I think they're almost as impressive as her songwriting and singing and performance.
