Lol yup. I loved fhis. Darren Hayes one big bit outside of Savage Garden called Insatiable, has this sultry feel and even when it was rotating heavily none of the dudes ever knew who it was, they just liked the song. One guy I took the time to see his reaction when I said the singer of the song that goes, "ooh I Want You, I Don't Know If I need you" and the big love songs, I Knew I Loved You and Truly Madly Deeply, was like no way that's him! Lol
I love scouring TH-cam for truly hard-to-find songs. Screw algorithms of things I could care less about. Obscure gems, especially the 'blink-&-you-miss-it' types of 1-hit wonders. This guy managed to capture that twice in a 3 year timeframe, solo & group effort. Truly a master of his craft.
Exquisite song. Lovely arrangement . Beautiful Melody... Like waking up from a deep, lucid dream; one looong and satisfying yawn; floating Back into that deep, plushy, cool slumber on a warm day with the windows open as the sheer whites levitate and fall so lightly from the island breeze...
This song had been running in my head for over 11 years! I didn't know the name of the song or the artist...I would hear it at casino I used to go to late at night in the 90's and it's been running in my head ever since! I googled a couple of lyrics and Wow-found it! Such a hauntingly beautiful song! Absolutely love it and it's hard for me not to play it over and over again!
So that's finally him who sing that song...near two decades later to find that (song title and the singer name)...that song reminds too much nice souvenirs :) A great 1990 hit song that I still sing for fun since 1990. A classic to me :)
@TresFives ... That's funny... I grew up in California (Humboldt/Del Norte Counties), lived there when this came out... and now I live in Atlanta! (Since 1991)... Night Tracks was awesome. That theme music, and those voices put me right back in my teenage years every time... lol
Who watched this on tbs back in 1990 .i miss night tracks i was 11 i used love night tracksall the hidden jems of the early late 88-92 that golsen era of the transition to 90s modern day music
I just fell in love with this mesmerizing song!*** It's a euphoric high that you don't want to come down from if your in love with someone. JUST BEAUTIFUL!!!
I first heard this song in 1992 on the radio and I loved it. I tried to find it on cd or cassette but all the music stores I went to never even heard of it. Back then though they didn't use computers to find music titles like they do now.
Definitely, an era one used to have to wait for the radio to air it again. And if lucky enough, jot down the name of the song (if mentioned). No Google, TH-cam nor Shazam. The wonderful 80s music!!!
I scoured the lyric sheet on this LP for the song you're referencing, and couldn't find a match. Maybe it's on a Bourgeois Tagg album or one of Brent's later efforts.
@djdavemick ...for sure... for one thing, the music, the chord progression, are FAR too complex! Isn't that sad? Not simple enough for today's listener.
The best song nobody ever heard of.

Such a good song, took me many years to find it
have played this song on daily/weekly rotation since it was released, haunted vintage music shops for it until I found it on youtube
What in the Spring of 1990 is going on around here!!
I miss 1990, 1989, 1988.
A totally different time.
Love this song

This song debuted on the Top 40 of American Countdown on June 16, 1990. Host of the show: Shadoe Stevens.
I remember that show...great memories. This is a great song.
A friend of mine has this cd....it's very good all the way through.
Shadoe was awesome.
Fantastic performer and writer.

I grew up near Redding and I remember this song a lot...Summer of 1990.
I first heard this on the radio when I was 12, I still like it to this day!
This song is a CLASSIC .. love Brents vocals and the keys are SMOLDERING ... would LOVE to hear him perform this song live ...
Boy do I miss those eighties and early ninety's! If I could grab me a time machine!
Heard this song right before graduating from high school in 1992. This is timeless !!
Who watched this on tbs back in 1990 .i miss night tracks i was 11 i used love night tracksall the hidden jems of the early late 88-92 that golsen era of the transition to 90s modern day music
one of my all time favz. i love 80's music
90's
although the 80s was the best decade fir thw most awesome music, this awesome song was from 1990!
Wonderful song. This could *never* be played on top 40 stations of today, obviously.
Glad you found it! Kind of an obscure hit, for sure.
I've heard this song where I work and I was determined to find out what that that song was for years and now I've found it! Thank you! :)
I just fell in love with this mesmerizing song!*** It's a euphoric high that you don't want to come down from if your in love with someone. JUST BEAUTIFUL!!!
@razrramone ...yes, the chord progression just tore me apart when I first heard it in 1990!! It was powerful.
One of my favourite songs ever ...thanks for sprucing up the audio, Tre404!
i remember hearing this on the radio,, a few times in the summer of
90.,, and its like it disappeared after that.
My goodness isn't this just an amazing song and it has that classic Todd Rundgren style as well
Yes, "Time of the Season" is on his self-titled album from 1990.
Love this song, almost has a Robert palmer feel
I still love this song cause it brings back so many memories of just being young and carefree.
I first heard this song in 1992 on the radio and I loved it. I tried to find it on cd or cassette but all the music stores I went to never even heard of it. Back then though they didn't use computers to find music titles like they do now.
BobSfan1 I actually got it in a cassette single when it came out..I was a metalhead but I had a soft side and this was def a fave..still is!
BobSfan1 I actually bought this song on a cassingle, remember those? Lol!! They were great for if the album wasnt great except for that certain song.
Definitely, an era one used to have to wait for the radio to air it again. And if lucky enough, jot down the name of the song (if mentioned). No Google, TH-cam nor Shazam. The wonderful 80s music!!!
What a amazing song. Pretty powerful words too
Back in my DJ'ing days, this was a fellow DJ and his girlfriend's "song." So it always reminds me of them... they introduced me to it.
I miss the 80s and 90s!!!!
Love this song!
THIS SONG IS JUST AS UNDERRATED AS IT'S FOR YOU BY SHANICE!!!
Excellent audio!
I always thought that if I found a woman who loved this song as much as I, then I might have found my soul mate.
Still waiting.
That is a great sentiment. Don't give up. Did you find her yet?
@@salocin911 such a long time, 10 years already
You did. Me!
@@silvanaclima2357 Too bad TH-cam doesn't allow private messages anymore.... ; )
I do, but I am married. Has the cassette single and drove around in my Ford Escort with it on repeat.
Yeah,it was! Awesome!
I love this song!
Love this tune. 30 years old???
claude feig ugh I know!
I scoured the lyric sheet on this LP for the song you're referencing, and couldn't find a match. Maybe it's on a Bourgeois Tagg album or one of Brent's later efforts.
It's on his self-titled first solo album.
I just wish I could find the mp3 for this.
I think you're referring to "Song for You" by Chicago. TH-cam won't let me post the URL here, but do a search for it. It's here, I just saw it. :-)
Hello the end of my Freshman year of Highschool!
Total Gino Vannelli vibes 4 sure
not as great without the most awesome Larry Tagg - bass extraordinaire from Uncle Rainbow !!!
@djdavemick ...for sure... for one thing, the music, the chord progression, are FAR too complex! Isn't that sad? Not simple enough for today's listener.
This has nineties written all over it!
Proof that cool has no color cool is just cool..... posted by RB aka.... the prince of darkness .....Peace and long life RB
Written by Brent and Peter Beckett of Player. Great songwriting.
Brent, Mark Ross and Peter Beckett composed the music; Brent wrote the lyrics (according to the liner notes).
Brent wrote the lyrics.
Well, regardless of who wrote what, someone from Player was involved, which explains the "Baby Come Back" vibe.
@@Tre404 Then I guess that is what happened. Good song.
This song smells and feels like 80's in L.A.
Yes! Perfect!
30 years ago in 1990.
I kept hearing this where I worked and thought it was Gino Vanelli.
She has a poison in her flower?!? Yikes!
😂😂😂😂😂
Looks like Gino Vannelli-ish.
I blinked, and the whole era was gone.
@rockybudgeboa I agree. This past decade the music mostly just sucks. There's way too much rap and singing whores like lady gaga.
enhanced ? the background noise is awful
