Some of our words here in the Philippines are Spanish like lamesa means table, platito, kubyertos, milagroso, romantiko and a lot lot more. We use those words in our daily speaking words. It's already part of our culture here in Philippines. A lot of young generations using words that they thought pure tagalog but not knowing that it's a Spanish word because its part of our daily lives and routines. Some didn't knew that they are already frequently speaking exactly Spanish words because they thought it is tagalog. Like lamesita, caldereta, rellieno, paella and so many more.
Only the difference is the spelling.. 😊

Zamboanga is not the only Spanish speaking place in the Philippines. There is one place in Cavite if I am not mistaken "Kawit" where, chavacano is also their dialect. Keep safe Jez♥️
There are two varieties of Chavacano being spoken here in Cavite, the first one is the Chavacano Caviteño (Cavite City) and other one is Ternateño (Ternate). The people of Kawit rarely or never spoke the language. ♥️♥️♥️

My Grandpa and Grandma are both half filipino-Spanish I can understand Spanish but I can't speak it well. the pronunciation seems so hard for me maybe because I born in this early generation and adopted English more than my native Spanish-Filipino language.

10% Tagalog
10% Bisaya
10% English

Pero, para mi gusto, esta mejor en el idioma en el que se hizo, chabacano. La version que usas en el video es una mezcla entre chabacano y tagalog y a mi gusto, creo que hasta la han petado un poco, la original con una guitarra y voces, perfecta! . It is not a curse or swear word in Chavacano, but to be called a ''maldito/maldita'' is not good and is also not totally well-received, 'cause it's also like you're being called that you're a really bad person and your parents, elders, and or guardians didn't discipline, parent, and nurture you well.
Sometimes, it also means like a girl who is young and pretty and or cute, but who is also naughty, snobbish, and mean at the same time.
