    I think it's pretty interesting that the Hypodermic Needle Theory caught on in any capacity, because in the life I lead it seems so odd to imagine. There's definitely a big difference between being surrounded by people from all walks of life, versus only really having contact with local folks and perhaps a pen pal or distant relations. If you get enough similar people together, you could definitely assume everybody is going to react the same way... But then, there's so many different people outside of that group!
    It's just making me appreciate the situation I'm in, here in the 21st century. I know I've got my blind spots that 22nd century people would scoff at, but it's pretty fantastic to see how far we've come.

      That's a really good point! We lose perspective on how small the world used to be not so long ago, now we are a global society! (And you can learn how this world came to be in our new Modern World History series teehee)
