It’s the semi gloss olive drab. I parkerized the gun then painted when it was still warm. Turned out great. (Someday I’ll finish up the video series I promise!)
Had the same issue with the mag release hole in the mag guide. The hole is too small. I'm glad I watched your video as I was going to file the safety hole on the receiver. Good job!
Welds are looking better!. Get closer with the tungsten, less heat and use a .040" rod for that thin work. You dont need to worry about penetration with thin tig welds
Thanks for the info! I’m a terrible tungsten dipper so i try to stay away. lol I wanted smaller filler but don’t think they make tartan G in that small!
Looks good. They are fun builds.
I found some aircraft enamel paint that perfectly matches the original too!
@@JPMachinemind sharing where you found that paint with me?

@@JPMachineawesome I sure appreciate it. Just subscribed and enjoying your builds. I’ve got a few on my channel as well.
Great work as always sir

Cocking tube weld turned out really nice. I need to get the bending jig rental and start mine after I finish up the G3 I'm building.
Just completed 3 AK barrel populations, good video boss.

@JPMachine tarten is only needed if your hot bluing the welds....er70 should be fine on park or cerakote receiver projects
Really nice build and excellent work. Do you complete Cetme builds for customers? I have a kit in my attic. Next to my numerous FALs haha.
Not yet! But should shortly have my FFL07!
How has it been holding up? I've been thinking of building one but I heard cases of CETME Ls breaking
It runs great actually. I finished it up a while ago just haven’t had a chance to do any more videos.
