I started watching for the 17z rebuild since ill be doing it on my b5 avant, at first glance I thought your car was a b5 s4 haha The black conceals body lines just enough! Looks good!
Love your methodology and logic behind the selection and placement of the Porsche stickers. I was so relieved when u choose the 4.5 and then choose those reference points to place them. Job very well done lol
From the logo on the brackets they're made by Creations Motorsport here in the UK. I've had stuff from them and it's always nice quality. * Just checked their website and they're listed. Also have the rear adapter brackets - pricey for those ! Pound is weak against the dollar though so might work out cheaper then buying from US supplier
Oh my god how awesome and gigantic is this combo?🤩🤩🤩👌👌 I'm curious how it looks on the station wagon. But be careful with the braking that the following traffic drives up😂😂😂
Oh hell yeah 🤘 whole time you were trying to decide I was sitting here going 4.5 , 4.5 4.5 please 4.5 🤣 where abouts did you get the decals ? There's multiple places online but these fit the part much better
If you plan on putting those big brakes on the rear, your going to want an adjustable partitioning valve to dial back the rears, or your going to be fish tailing in the rain.
Hi bro , I have a Mk4 golf 2002 vr5 with a jatco 09A tiptronic transmission, and it has a rough shifting from 2nd to 3rd , I changed the solonoids kit but still the same problem, I just wanna know if I can replace it with another gearbox or how to fix it , waiting for your reply bro , god bless you.
@@Mk3Smith yes I did , they just changed the solonoids, it runs good for a while, but it starts rough shifting again , i saw once of your videos , you put a manual transmission on a vr5 , can you tell me what was it , thank you for reply 👍
I’ve seen plenty of calipers with stickers on top and they last fine. I’m not autocrossing this car so the brakes won’t be getting that hot to melt the sticker off
@@Mk3Smith just a suggestion. Since you're back in Florida what about giving us just one wee visit video to Miley. I miss that car on the channel.. I was just watching the JUICEBOX video at the LZ Compound. Neil said this place was like a Grand Turismo garage. I thought if he only knew about the engine swapped mk3's he was standing in front of as he said it..... I love the channel and I do watch pretty much all the videos.
Nope the large bolts don’t even fit through the recessed holes. Large bolts go into the threaded outer holes for the 17z and the smaller factory bolts go into the recessed holes to bolt to the knuckle.
Great choice on the size of the PORSCHE lettering 👍🏻 I am excited about seeing these new calipers on your wagon at Euro Tripper next month 🛣️

Z17 are for 330 to max. 335mm Disc Diameter as far as I know, right?
Sick setup, cant wait to do it on my audi A3
man now I want some 17z so bad 🤣
What size of set wheel need for these calipers

What size are the panamera wheels and tires?
are refurbished 17z brembo's safe to use? assuming they come from a reputable brake shop. or would getting a brand new brembo GTM 6 pot be better?
I think its the merc ml suv brake disc that's used for the mk5/mk6

Looks awesome! It would be nice if you test pefore and after breaking distance example from 80km/h😄
What brake lines are you using? I have the same set up going on an audi tt. Thanks
What breaks could I use of what cars
Can you measure from the face of the rotor to the edge of the caliper. I'm wondering clearance vs. Stock.
I think your bringing stopping power to a whole new level ! Lookin good ! RickGTI….. 🌴
Where you get the adapters from
What adapter did you use?
What's the game plan for the rears? do you just use the stocks fronts in the rear via adapters?
What do I need to do that to my Jetta mk4 2001
Look awesome bud
Do you have to upgrade the Master Cylinder since you are pushing so much more fluid?
I was told no so we will see lol
I want to upgrade my MK3 GTi brakes want to know which is best to use how many pots and inches
Should go R32 brakes

Have you taken it to a transmission shop? They might be able to fix it or let you know if you need a new trans all together

@@moelha I used an o2j 5spd from a vr6. You can use a manual trans from a vr6 or from a vr5. Either works
Christian, if there was no clear on top of the sticker I would imagine that the sticker would peel off due to the fact that brakes getting hot.

I've followed the channel for years now and enjoy the VW content but how many videos can you make about the same set of brake calipers?
As many as I want

4.5 or 5.

Those large bolts are for the inner recessed holes to bolt it to the original calliper carrier Not the calliper to adaptor
