Do you have a smaller account ($5,000? $10,000? $25,000?) or are you interested in trading a smaller portion of your larger account? Explore ways to trade, manage, define risk and learn about options strategies in this Active Trader class.

Options carry a high level of risk and are not suitable for all investors. Certain requirements must be met to trade options through Schwab. Please read the Options Disclosure Document titled "Characteristics and Risks of Standardized Options" before considering any option transaction.

Thank you Barbara, your Trading a Smaller Account series is always some of my favorite learning content. Really appreciate the live trading training! Side note: I usually watch from the archives because you go live while I am working my day job ;-)

Hello Barbara, managing the middle ground is exactly what I would have asked if I had thought of it.

Hi Barbara, I appreciate the review and live trading. I was recently on vacation and was disappointed that I would miss your class. Watching in the archives.

Hey Barbara, great class as usual. Only critique - you never look at us, you look to the screen at your left and at your right, but not at us. I think that is different than usual, but really noticed it in this presentation.

Thank you for that feedback. The screen that you see is to my left. Perhaps I should consider switching things around so that the screen in front of my - where the camera is - has the content that you are seeing on it. ^Barb

Hi again Barbara - on the ADBE short call vertical, I noticed you are down over 50% yet you said it is percolating along fine. Are the rules different for short call verticals for when you want to exit? And mine is down about 300% after hours, but it improves when the market opens. My understanding is we just need it to stay below the strike until expiration. But the numbers kind of make me catch my breath.

I checked and we are still in the example Short Call Vertical trade on ADBE which we placed on April 22. It expires May17 with the short strike at 485 & long strike at 490. ADBE is trading at 472.81 at this time (on May 2). It is over $12 below the short strike which is where a trader with this type of trade would like it to stay. We are showing that we are down by 7.4%. At this time, we are continuing to go with the example strategy of remaining patient and letting time decay chip away at the option value. If the stock goes up dramatically, we might choose to exit the week of expiration at a loss. Hope this is helpful. ^Barb

Great video. Q for you. Looking for a tos script that has % change from open. Do you have it and can share ? Or perhaps some of your other awesome traders? Much appreciated.

By % change from open - do you mean from the open of the day?? If that's what you're looking for, I don't have one but I'll keep my eyes open for one. You might want to join Ken Rose's class on scripting and you could request that he demonstrate how to create one. It is on Friday's at 3pm ET.
