In this webcast, we looked at 6 different example stocks. We discussed why a trader might consider placing a trade and also why they might decide NOT to place a trade. We looked at both bullish and bearish potential technical setups on the thinkorswim charts. We placed 1 bullish trade example: a short put vertical, and 2 bearish trades examples: a long put vertical and a short call vertical. We also did some trade management and demonstrated how to calculate both net gain(loss)and return on risk (ROR) on a long put vertical and a short call vertical position that had hit our example exits.
Do you have a smaller account ($5,000? $10,000? $25,000?) or are you interested in trading a smaller portion of your larger account? Explore ways to trade, manage, define risk and learn about options strategies in this Active Trader class.

Your an excellent teacher, I’m not in the chat room, I have to go back, and review basics. Had almost given up on learning this skill, you motivated me to continue. Thanks.
When you get started with all of this, it's a bit like 'drinking out of a firehose'. If you are newer to options or coming back after a hiatus, I would recommend the Getting Started with Options series as a great refresher. Lots of lightbulbs went off in this session for SCV and LPV strategies. Thanks so much for your instruction!!!
You're welcome. So glad it helped. Keep coming back! ^Barb
Hi Barb, I watched Monday 4/24 live and you chose not to redo the short call on BAC but I could not exactly understand why or, I guess, I wonder what set of things would you look for to make the short call reasonable.
If you listen to this one again, I believe I did go through my rational. It was uptrending and so we decided to wait until it got closer to a resistance level where we might be paid a higher premium for the covered call. I will be reviewing this in the Trading Breakout class on April 24. It will be the first or second stock we look at. You might want to check it out. ^Barb
