Anytime I need to find out how to do something to my 2005 Nissan Altima 2.5, I always check here first! Wish I could find more videos of some common problems with my vehicle, like how to fix the fuel gauge not showing the correct amount of fuel, or how to fix the dome light not working.

That's a RIDICULOUS relearn procedure😂😂😂😂
Just an FYI .... your procedure didn't take ... you were still idling at 900 RPM. Don't be afraid to run the procedure SEVERAL TIMES until the idle falls down and then recovers to the proper level .... it sometimes takes MANY ATTEMPTS before you get the exact procedure done with the correct timing. You will know when it is done correctly when your final startup idles high.. then goes down .. then settles at the correct level. I had to do mine SIX TIMES before it took, but luckily I was informed of the multiple attempts sometimes needed. It's a tricky procedure getting the timing right, the pedal depressing right, and just a few seconds off either way can disrupt the whole procedure .... KEEP TRYING ... it will work.

Why do manufacturers make things so over complicated? All those steps and procedures to reprogram it were unbelievable.
Fuel economy of course.. I have got a carburetor i have got one screw to do all of the idle adjustment to my liking

Very frustrating , I’ve had no luck getting this to work, installed new throttle body and TOS motor assembly, followed procedures exactly , didn’t work, so the car sits , not useable

@@1AAuto I tried the relearning process the next day. But I didn't have a voltage meter to check the battery. But tried it anyway. After I pumped the gas 5 times in 5 secs. The check engine light didn't start blinging. Do you think thats from not checking voltage?? And if not up to voltage would it cause this to happen?
Question: Do you have to relearn the throttle body if you're just cleaning the throttle body & mass air flow sensor??

Are you sure about that 64 inch pounds torque? Seems high--- I tried 40 inch lbs torque on a 3/8" nut and bolt with a pile of washers in between. The washers were deforming under the bolt head yet the (new) torque wrench still hadn't reached the slip point. ???

I have a 2013 nissan sentra i disconnected the negative and positive battery cables and i just loosen the throttle body i moved the throttle plate a little bit gently where i used shop towel i sprayed throttle cleaner on towel and wiped the plate and the edge and put it together i never had check engine light on seems to not hestitate as bad

So I just installed a new throttle body on my 05 nissan altima 3.5 and when I did the reprogramming the check engine light did not come on? But I took it for a drive around the block seemed pretty good. Just wanted to know if that would be a problem if the check engine light did not come on and im driving it. Pls help

The elbow thats connected in between the intake air tube to the breather hose is completely ripped. Can that be the case of why my car is in limp mode? It's in limp mode right after I cleaned throttle without taking it apart, new crankshaft sensor, and spark plugs.

where is the throttle position sensor?? the replacement I bought from autozone was said to fit my car but doesn’t look like it’ll fit anywhere
If you are doing it your self when you buy the new electronic throttle body . you will get a papper its the warranty and idle relearn procedure for your car.

Hey thanks for the video. I wonder if you can help with an issue. I replaced the maf sensor and the cleaned the throttle body on maxima 2011. Then the car did not run right and when pressing the gas hard , it seems that there was no air and the car was gasping for air. Took it to one mechanic after charging 120 bucks he said he can’t fix it. i took it to anther , he couldn’t fix it either. So I took the car home and opened it up again and I when I opened the part that fit to throttle body the whole thing came off. There is a tubing connection that goes under the throttle body and it just came off. Not sure where this thing connects to

Iam getting this code now p2135 and will have a trip to junkyard and hope thats will be ok no luck on cleaning throttle which was so help full with valvtronic selenoid and worked like a charm by ultrasonic cleaner and injector cleaner tester on off and every thing is ok after that iam getting p2135 🤪 🤒😓 whats this 🤕🤧 iam sick hope this will be last problem before New one on the road 😁

Is the throttle positioning sensor connected to the throttle body itself. cant find any info on it.

Why not just clean it? When would you have to replace the throttle body?
I have to replace mines right now. Car wont start sometimes.
Should the idle relearn be done every so many miles or years? I have an 03 altima 2.5 L and the engine shakes at idle in drive and in reverse. Can this be a sign of a need of idle relearn? or throttle body cleaning? I already changed all motor mounts and belt tensioner.
You might need a new valve cover if oil is on the spark plugs. I had shaking and misfire from a old valve cover. Try replacing it and your spark plugs... but it also could be your coil packs
@@PLATINUM2U is absolutely correct. I changed battery, fuel pump, alternator, cam and crank sensors(aftermarket then after they failed got nissan ones) spark plugs, coil packs, and a valve cover(had oil pooled up in cylinder 1and was getting misfires). Car wasn't maintained for years. Runs so much better. Got a p0507 code so im gonna clean the etb and then do the relearn. Tinted it, changed the radio, painted it with a maaco deal, got some junkyard rims and painted them and the calipers. Feels like a new car to me lol.
seems easier than replacing the crankshaft position sensor... my God that was s nightmare
Hi, yesterday I drove my car to the Mountains, and the acceleration was dying and felt like the gear or engine will fall, I change CVT Oil a couple of days ago and cleaned Mass Air Flow Sensor too but the problem was a little back then now. While driving on a normal road the gear is like pushing the car. Please help me I have a small family and I was hoping yesterday that I at least reach home and reached.

I replaced the throttle body and did all the other steps and it when I turn it on it won't go past 15 mph

I have a 2003 Nissan altima with the same engine as this one and after I removed the throttle body and cleaned it. I did the throttle body reprogram and I have been noticing that when I accelerate it accelerates slowly and then it starts to accelerate fast and when it shifts I feel the car jerk forward like it suddenly gets a push. Could this be caused by the throttle body or is my transmission going out? I checked the transmission fluid and it looks red and is filled to the top and it doesn't smell burnt. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

What happens if I continue to drive it while the check engine light is on about the throttle body?
+Tomy Perez If your vehicle is misfiring, you can impact damage to the catalytic converter (which might give codes for your O2 sensor), excess unburnt fuel can break down your oil, and overall you will have poor driving performance
