Oh cool YT censoring history again... Let's try like this:
Look at: 4:45 You can see a Kapo with peculiar star shaped symbol and it wasn't there by accident, that was common thing to mark those Kapos by their symbol.
    Maybe this won't be deleted...
Regarding the question about the movie:
Somebody from Hollywood reached out to Witold Pilecki's descendant to make movie about him, but they wanted to make main character a polish Jew (he was Pole), so family declined.
    Go figures...

I think witold was not a jew and was inside the camp before the population was mainly jewish so the hollywood director would be twisting history and not telling the real story. Witold got captured in order to see how germany was treating the war and political prisoners out of i can only assume a strong sense of patriotism rather than religious dogma.

@@frking100 - however it is pathetic how it is so easy to say "they were Polish criminals" but avoid mentioning a Jewish involvement, as Piotr mentioned, even as the photo shows one of them actually being a Jew. Why is that?

@@lucasrokitowski8707 I don't understand your comment. Witold was as far as I know not a jew and during the time he spent in auschwitz the majority of the inmates were poles. Auschwitz would not have a Jewish majority until 1944 while Witold escaped by 1943.

@@frking100 - but neither I nor Piotr are commenting on Witold. We are commenting on the capos in camps. They weren't "Polish criminals", at least not all of them. Capo squads in those type of camps very often consisted of Jewish collaborators. I am just pointing out that for some reason the narrative is going out of its way not to point that out, yet finds it completely ok to name Poles who were collaborating, that's all.

The Auschwitz volunteer':Beyond bravery, a book with his memoirs, gives you a clear insite in his time in Auschwitz

It is an incredible read. Suggestion: don't listen to Inmate 4859 while reading. Trust me on this.

I love Sabaton, them, my grandfather, and my brother (Who went over to Iraq in 9/11 and came back alive and moved up to Green Beret), are the only way I learned military history outside of self-studying and research. The schools in my State fail a lot of their students by NOT teaching military history at ALL. It's considered taboo, or at least in my area of the State it is. You're lucky if you learn history itself actually. Apparently not alone on that, my niece was excited to learn history but was confused when there was no mention of WWI or WWII or the founding of our State Pennsylvania.

Many of the capos were actually of a certain descent, as we can see at 4:45 photo. It just caught my eye because the creator going out of his way to avoid saying that, instead saying "Polish criminals" for some reason.
