      Hey keyan. How do you approach recording whole songs. My main problem when i record is the transitions. Let's say i go record the verse then i stop. And then i record the chorus. The transition between them always sound so abrupt and so rough. How do you make the transition seamless? Thanks

    Dude. I tried those IR's with my Kemper tones and WOW my tone is way better than ever now.
    I tried with the Crunchman vst and it just didn't sound good with my setup.
    Testing out those 2 IR's you setup in NadIR with a few different amps in my Kemper and now I'm getting the best tones I've ever had! Thank you so much man!!
    So far I've tried EVH 5150, Krankenstein, ENGL, & some Marshall amps paired with only a lil noise gate from my Kemper, Kemper's Green Scream pedal, and just little bit of EQ.
    I'm definitely trying more tomorrow after work, thanks so much for what you do man you're the best and I can't wait to see what you do next 🤘

    • @ayeapprove

    I'm sure other people have mentioned it, but the Nalex Amplex is really cool too. It's basically a little platform to load up a whole bunch of amp sims they've made (including the crunchman) and you can get some really versatile tones out of it.

    i've seen a lot of these types of videos and usually i have to finagle with things to get it to sound even remotely close to what it sounds like on video, and usually im really unhappy with the results and just go back to what i was using previously, but this is the first one of these videos i've seen where when i follow the tutorial i actually get a sound like the one i want. still going to take a little bit of tweaking but so much less than usually. thank you so much for the step by step instructions. one of the most mystifying elements of doing all digital guitar playing is how to order things and what settings do what and you did an excellent job explaining that. thanks!

    Great tone Housh!
    Btw, a few years ago, I got all the software and an interface in order to create my own music without having to deal with all my gear in my livingroom.
    I really thought that I would download this stuff and that'd be it!
    Funny looking back now.
    I'm using :
    Ableton live 10
    Focusrite scarlett solo;
    (Always reminds me of Periphery when I plug in to it 🤣🤪)
    Guitar rig 5;
    (This has some really great tones and effects, but can greatly affect your CPU load if using it on multiple tracks)
    Lots of free plug-ins like....
    Amp heads;
    Ignite-Emissary (Highly recommend 👌)
    Nick Crow Lead 8505
    Poulin: (LE456, Lector, Legion, Lextac)
    NaLex Ninja V3
    And here's a bunch of other, all free shit, that I use with or in combinations with these amp sims;
    ATK Sterio compressor
    Dead Duck Delay
    G-Delay
    G-Rev Delay
    Dead Duck Gate
    G-Gate
    G-Tune
    Tal Reverb (personally, my favorite reverb plug-in)
    TSE 808 Tube screamer
    ValhallaFreqEcho (another great opportunity to work with your clean tones to get some really cool sounds. I will combine this, with a pitch shift for some really pretty clean stuff).
    AuraPlug Whamdrive (pitch shifter) Way fun and, on its own, has a pretty sick sounding distortion that I sometimes use, but mainly, I pair this with this next one for a gorgeous shimmer effect.....
    KVR Guitar Gadgets DC14 ( everyone can thank me later lol. This little plug-in has 14 different pedals in it. But for the shimmer effect I use the "Niagara Falls" one in conjunction with the aforementioned Whamdrive. If you're looking for big, cathedral like ambience, this is it!
    I use more shit that's free too, but this is all my GO-TOO shit.
    I don't have links for any of this shit, but, I got ALL of it for free. Just Google it if you see something you're interested in.
    And thanks Housh, keep it up bro! Can't wait to try this one myself!!
    Edit: OH yeah, I almost Forgot!
    NAD IR .....best free loader I've used!
    ML sound labs Best IR in the world .wav
    Truly is one of the best impulse responses I've used as well
    But "Kalthallen" has a bunch of free impulse responses also!!

    For anyone looking to get into this stuff: If you buy a Steinberg USB Audio Interface (for plugging a guitar/mic etc into your PC) they almost always come with a free copy of Cubase AI, so you should look into that first before investing money into buying a program if you haven't yet purchased a USB interface :)
    Also! The Steinberg UR12 is SUPER affordable. I think I paid about $110-120 AUD for mine new, which is a small price to pay for getting set up to play and record through your computer.

    As a poor uni student I kind of rely on these free Amp Sims to get a nice tone, I gotta ask though, what picks and size are you using? Thanks a lot!

      @@KeyanHoushmandLive Yooo .88? Do you feel like that thin of a pick helps with any sort of articulation etc when playing downtuned music or do you just prefer thinner picks in general?

      MattWinfordGuitar it just stops the note bending out of tune when I pick hard

    Really nice video! Was just wondering, are you in a band? If so, I would really like to dig your music. I really like your style!

    Omg !!! Your playing is incredible and the tone too !! What to practice to reach this level? I'm really stuck in my playing and periphery songs are too hard right now haha.
