Ok, that was a great box. There was around 500+ bucks of value, so Id call it totally worth it. Although, a couple of the big hits like Hunting Cheetah are 60 bucks because they are P3K cards, so Im not sure what this printing might do to the prices. I must say, Im comparing these to the lowest CK listing (Where I live TCG doesnt ship) so of course the white border and future sight border treatments might change the maths, maybe for the better?
The worth in the first mystery set was actual drafting it. Not sure if this set is going to be better. Playtest cards always fun. Tons of great cube cards or sealed deck cards but most are dated and not currently used except for casual.
I'll be drafting MB2 for the first time this Friday so we'll see how fun it is. I expect there will be some interesting lines of play but most decks will be a bit soupy.
I've watched a handful of these openings in anticipation of my own box. It seems that its common to see 1 foil per box. Sadly, some boxes have arrived with absolutely 0 foils. The foils are definitely holding some MASSIVE value atm, with a a good portion of the normal future sight and white bordered cards having some decent value as well.
I love these cards but I feel without a huge hit like a crypt or a mox it doesnt feel like its worth buying a mystery 2 booster box. The collectors packs them selfs will run over 100 bucks and the box itself is around 200 bucks. So Idk if you if you got these from the secret lair site then it was around 270 so maybe its worth it idk im torn.
I agree with you, without those I was really on the fence. I ultimately decided it was worth it for me but part of my calculus is that I'll sleeve these up to do a mini cube a few times. Maybe even combine two boxes. And even though the SL for Vegas is sold out I think we'll a lot of these over the next year as they will likely include them in future MagicCon Festival boxes as well as have for draft and prize support at the events themselves.

Yeah, I'm pretty happy at the moment. We'll see where prices head over the weekend. I think I'm definitely opening my other box at this point too.

Mystery Booster 2 foils seem to be extremely rare.
Yeah, I know a few people who have got no foils in their box. That said, most are 1 foil per box.
Thinking the same opened one. Was underwhelmed by pulls think I'll keep my other one sealed to draft with friends.
I think I'm going to make a mini cube to draft a few times, should be fun!

I just collect and hold forever, never sold any cards before. Ripping packs and collecting is my entertainment :)
Foils are average 1 per box so it makes sense to only get 1

That box was meh. I’d say hold onto it unopened. May have value down the road. This looked nothing like mystery box 1 though
