  • I just picked up a Bul Armory Government 1911 Stainless in 9mm. This is just the unboxing and a quick look. So far, it looks like it would be a good fit in our "Great Affordable 1911 Series". Range report to follow.

    Those Bul 1911s are definitely the best quality 1911's at the price point, by far. Excellent fit/finish and triggers right out of the box.

      Just the feel of running the slide almost reminds me of a hand-fit 1911. And you are absolutely correct - great trigger. Thanks for watching.

      @@RidersRange First found out and got to hold A Bul 1911 9m two years ago at a new gun store about 20 miles away from my house.I was really impressed with how easy it was to rack the slide.This Bul 1911 really felt perfect in my hand.I've read and watched a lot of videos on this gun and haven't seen any bad reviews yet.I'm a Left-handed shooter and just wish they would put ambidextrous safeties on theses nice 1911's or at least make it optional at no or very little cost.They are hard to find in Western North Carolina.I would agree that they are the best value for the money compared to other 1911's.

    Guy at the gun store I frequent (when I DO have a couple "extra bucks"!) showed me a Bul right before last X-Mas. Looked at it, and told him it was only a 9 mm. He said "Just Wait a Moment"! Came back with a .45 acp, and then I couldn't make up my mind which one I wanted the most. He said "Hell, it's nearly Christmas - just Put it on the Card"! So... I did... Got BOTH of them (and got a nice "discount" buying both at the same time, I might add...!)
    Both shoot exceptionally well, very accurate, and nicely finished... Shoot as good as any other 1911 pistols I have, and can hardly believe the price of either! (Should cost a LOT more, in my opinion - but don't tell the Bul folks that! Haha!)
    No problems with either so far, but I've only put about 500 rounds through them.

    Merry Christmas to your family and viewers. I have the 2021 versions of the magnum research desert eagle 1911’s government (stainless) and undercover (blued), both in 45 acp. They were made in Israel by BUL armory. They look almost identical to yours except for the stampings. Had to send them both back for a little warranty fine tuning to help prevent slightly intermitting feeding or ejecting problems. The 3”” is very accurate for its size, recoil not too bad for a 66 year old’s hands. The 5” stainless was accurate out of the box, I installed a fiber optic front and adjustable rear sight and accuracy only slightly improved. Before the sight change with the combat sights it was more accurate for me than my springfield range officer target and much more accurate than my sig stx. A 9 mm 1911 is on my radar if I do not find a sa35 first. SE MI can do

      Chaz, this is my first experience with Bul, but it seems that the workmanship and fitting of the pistol is on a par with Dan Wesson and maybe even better fitted than the TRP. The only thing that keeps it from actually being DW quality is the use of MIM parts, while DW still uses machined parts. Time will tell is it holds up as well, but it seems to be a LOT of gun for the price.

    • @RidersRange
      @RidersRange  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I haven't seen a Specialist in person, so I can't make the comparison. However, in my not-always-so-humble-opinion, Dan Wesson is the premier "production" 1911. DW uses machined parts, rather than the MIM parts like Bul uses (so does Kimber and many others). The big question is whether or not the DW is worth the price premium. After I get more trigger time with the Bul, I may be able to render an opinion.
