    this video is very cool. In the last few years, it seems that the development of the sport of fishing is very significant, especially regarding the style and appearance of the rod. this becomes a new temptation for every fishing rod owner to beautify his tackle. a decal with a fishing rod specification may be required. I really understand the decal doesn't affect luck when fishing, maybe this is what is meant by lifestyle. and I still don't understand why we have to be cool and beautiful. ha ha ha. well done mate

    Thanks John. I just had a failure with a decal that curled up after putting finish on it. I will take your advice and let it sit 24 hours prior to finishing.

      Was the decal from Mudhole?

    • @trapnut
      @trapnut 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes it was a crb blank decal. A specification decal

      You should try Decal Connection. Their decals are a ways higher quality than Mudhole, and they won’t curl. Trust me.

      @@reelbluecustomrods can I get a decal with the specs for that particular blank from them or how do I go about getting that information? I have a new label coming but I guess I can call and order it?

    Thanks for this! I heard an old timer once talk about soaking his decals in warm water before applying. Do you know anything about this method?

    Thanks for the tips! Can you explain why waiting 24 hours helps? What is happening in the 24 hours that helps keep the epoxy from separating on top of the decal?

    • @reelbluecustomrods
      @reelbluecustomrods  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Brent, in my personal opinion I think it’s the static electricity from transferring the decals to the rod and that’s why I wait. Thank you for watching and commenting.
