Hey Nissan Guy your videos have helped so many people...My question is I bought a 2022 Nissan Altima S model for my wife it was a rental before I bought it and Apple Play option will not come up on the screen I have used an authentic Apple cable and my question is should I reboot because I don't even have an option for apps anywhere on the screen...I am so frustrated because this is her favorite car and I CANT BELIEVE apple play isn't an option
@@fabiogemellaro5705 is it the 8 inch touchscreen or 7inch non-touch screen? Try doing this reset if it’s the 8 inch touchscreen. If not I don’t know if you believe in “tiktok shop” but there’s an adapter you can buy for about $50 (maybe less if you use coupons) but it will give you apple CarPlay. www.tiktok.com/t/ZT8yDdx91/

An undocumented system enhancement. I read a lot of Nissan literature and user manual that doesn’t provide this easy remedy. Yesterday on was on the highway and I could not get my 2023 Nissan Altima’s entertainment system to function. I even pulled off the highway and shut down and restarted both my car and iPhone without success. I called my Nissan Service advisor and he immediately instructed me to take the same actions that you show in your video. Worked like a charm. Immediately had no issues where a few seconds earlier nothing was working. The technician emphasized to keep the power button depressed until the screen goes black and the Nissan logo appears!
Glad others are spreading the common fix for these radios.

Thank you, this actually fixed the sound I was getting… An awful sound from my front speakers! Do this, and it will actually fix your speakers, I tried adjusting everything, and it made it sound like my front speakers need to be replaced.

So wait this actually did work on a Maxima? I’ve had maxima owners say it doesn’t, but it literally does on every other Nissan lol. Some have to press & hold menu and toggle volume back and forth until it resets (how my 16’ Altima reset with lil 5 inch screen).

How did you get your audio to display on the map, did it come like that?
It comes with factory navigation on SL & Platinum trim levels. I do think for 2023/2024 the SR premium gets factory navigation.

Yes this process will work. Sometimes it takes longer but just press and hold until the logo pops up.

Mine doesn't reset. I have 2018! Altima. My android auto stopped connecting but my USB port and cable charge my phone so I know it's not the cable. I even redownload android auto. I held the power button forever and it never reset though.

Ty I’m trying to figure out now why my radio completely stop playing when my navigation starts speaking it use to turn down navigation voice was louder then when navigation stopped the radio would turn back up now it’ completely stops I have to press audio every time so the radio will turn back on not sure what I e done could u help me with this issue? Okay so my only recommendation besides this is I’ll notice if my Navigation volume is turned down it’ll drastically lower my music. Try to start the navigation and when it starts speaking turn the volume up as it’s speaking. It’s weird you’ll have to catch it as it speaks. I hope that’s the issue mine does that when it talks about road conditions randomly.
Hello bro i have a nissan altima 2020 and my brother has a nissan sentra 2020 and i feel like his software is much smoother than mine is that depends on type of the car or the sentra software is better than altima?
It honestly should run the same tbh. Check to make sure yours has the most current software. You can either hotspot your phone and use Wi-Fi from that or if you’re close enough to your house.

So I’m currently having issues with my 2017 Nissan Sentra. I’ve done what is in this video, I’ve turned off and back on my phone, and I’ve also updated it. For some reason, it keeps saying that my phone is connected to the Bluetooth but doesn’t play any audio. I have the sound turned up and everything, but when I try to play it the sound pauses before I have to manually hit play and it still doesn’t work. It started doing this yesterday when I got my tire patched and my car was returned to me. The Bluetooth still works because I can make calls, but whenever it comes to streaming music it doesn’t work. If u have any kind of advice this would be super helpful 🫶
Also my aux doesn’t work (says no files are found)
Don’t know how to fix that either but I’m not really looking to fix that rn but advice for that would also be pretty cool
Do you have the newest iPhone I’ve heard it’s given lots of issues with Bluetooth streaming? So does this process work for you radio does it reset and loads a Nissan logo after holding the volume knob? There’s one other way to try if it’s not working!
@@NissanAltimaGuy it does reload the Nissan logo and I updated my phone a few days ago to see if it fixes the problem. I don’t know if it’s the newest version? But I’ll see if there’s another update I need. I wanted to experiment with another friend’s phone and it did the same thing that mine did as well. If you’re unsure it’s ok!! I just figured I’d ask someone who definitely knows a lot more about cars than I do

Doesn't work with 2012 Sentra SR with Nav
Sorry to hear this isn’t working for your navigation. Like my 16’ Altima it may be slightly different. Try this: press the pwr button to turn the radio off. After press & hold #1 and as holding #1 toggle the volume knob back and forth (as if turning volume up and down) continuously for about 5-10 seconds until a menu pops up, once it pops up push the back button. That should hopefully work! Lmk if it doesn’t I’ll help you figure out a way.

Didn't work! Had the car less than two weeks and the screen stopped working, it's completely blank no matter how long I hold down the power button!

Interesting it seems yours may need a new unit. Are you still under 36k miles? It could possibly be a blown fuse…is anything else not working?
Will this also fix the annoying issue with the clock date and time randomly resetting to default each time you get in? At least until the software glitches again? My 2023 Sentra had this issue and so far we haven’t had any luck resolving it. Still undetermined if it’s a software issue or potentially hardware. Nothing seems to resolve the issue for long so far.
I can’t say for sure but I can almost guarantee this will solve that issue. If it does (or doesn’t) lmk 🤔
@@NissanAltimaGuyas the vehicle running or does it just hove battery power only on when performing this action? I plan on trying today. I did it with the vehicle running Friday evening and the glitch occurred again on Saturday. It’s every time I get in now as I open the door and the dash lights up. 😢 I’ve been to two different dealerships as I’ve had the car on 3 months and they don’t seem to know what’s going on. They keep trying to rule out software to justify hardware but so far no luck.
Sometimes I don’t see responses I just figured out a way and I’m barely seeing this. Has your issue been solved?
