You are the man!! Huge thanks to you. Just bought a used Nissan Altima. Love this car, but I didn’t know the radio would reset every 10 minutes until after I bought it. I took it to two Nissan dealers and one was going to charge me $3k and the other one $2k to replace it. Why the big difference? 🤷🏻♂️ But, thanks to your video I bought a refurbished replacement radio for $399 and the tools you linked in your video for $7.99. I replaced it for $407 in under 10 minutes. That’s a huge savings. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
I just bought a 2020 Sentra sv same as the Altima, but I’m eventually going to put a 10 or 12 cause I like a bit more bass/middle/treble so now I’ll know how to remove this. Thanks my guy keep it up 💪🏼
I have recently acquired a 2021 2.5L AWD Altima model. Have you considered the possibility of replacing your existing headlights and taillights with the LED sequential versions? Additionally, what is your perspective on modifying the factory Head unit to an Android head unit from a brand such as Teana or EKIY? Based on every video I've watched, you appear to be the most likely individual to possess knowledge regarding this subject... Any response would be greatly appreciated...Your NEW Subscriber!
Appreciate the support to the channel and as far as changing out the headlights… I am not going to change them right now because I already have the signature led headlights from Nissan. It’s a better deal for the S model Altimas to get that luxury look. You can also buy lasfit led headlight bulbs to place in the S model for a cheaper brighter option. I have put the thought into getting the aftermarket sequential lights but I do like the factory look with the Lasfit LEDs in the tailights. As far as the factory head unit I have found some aftermarket’s like you mentioned that will give you a 10 inch screen or more but if you’re only buying for the size and to watch movies on it they have this box out that’s like 300 bucks that allows you to play movies and other stuff on the screen. Another option if you wanted to get the one is find one in a wrecked 2024 and slap it in there because nothing really change besides the front grill/bumper and radio. Hope that answered your questions best I could.
I had no expectation that the 12.3 head unit from the 2024 model would fit in my 2021 model... and you are referring to a company such as Diode Dynamics or HIDNATION for a replacement with Brighter and Better LEDs, I'm assuming?
@@shoegame7138 yes it will definitely fit just remove the housing from the 24 and slap it in the 2021 and yes for the LEDs it’s a company like that but their name is Lasfit which sells the whole entire LED kit for our cars which I am running on mine beside the headlights
@TheRealCountryBoyModz I just talked with the parts department at Central Nissan in Houston, Texas... & The Parts Supervisor said he also thought it was swappable... he has a 2022, and what he found out is that the entire dash would have to be swapped... What are your thoughts... Side note this would be a excellent video if you could give everyone a solution to this common issue... The Head unit swap & a Grille Swap for a 2024 Look... you seen how many people watched the removal video...
@@shoegame7138 that’s correct and I’ve thought about upgrading the front end to the 2024 but it will be a project later down the road. Headlights are the same besides they added switchbacks and got rid of the turn signal in the lower part of the bumper. If I do upgrade it would be factory or aftermarket. Like you said it would definitely be a great video
Do you know what that “8X” in the top right corner means? I was able to get my radio out with the help of your video but wanna buy the correct replacement. My radio has a 6A in that top right corner but online I keep seeing 9A and wonder if it’s okay to just use that. Thanks so much
Sorry for the late response they have after markets for the car and all other trims will fit as well and as far as that in the corner not sure by never really paid attention to it
I just bought the base model that comes with the 7 inch screen, so. do you know if I can change it for the 8 inch display that comes with higher trim versions?
It’s a few out there and metra has the conversion kit to place a single din and double din in it. I just haven’t upgraded to anything yet because it has to offer more than the factory radio itself
I have a 2022 none Bose unit but it’s like a weird looking computer chip it’s in the trunk located directly in the center of the trunk on the metal park of the trunk that sits below the rear deck I have the S trim so of course no Bose or android auto / apple CarPlay
Have you got a signal restart sent to your car yet… you will have to go to SiriusXM.com and provide your radio ID to get a new signal sent? If not I would try that… it’s under help and support then click refresh my radio
@@kingofnash7001 lol I’m not but it’s super easy to do and I sold the car now and it was in Texas at a dealership how I left it but they took off a few things and messed up the painted covers but everything else the same
Nothing is wrong with it just showing how to remove it and hopefully yours is still under warranty. If not now you know how to snatch one out of a wrecked one to replace it

Just out of curiosity would a regular after market am fm cd car stereo be able to be installed in that kind of vehicle?
Yes metra make a kit for that to fit in them
Gracias, también sirve para el nuevo sentra, es la misma radio :D
De nada, me alegro de que haya funcionado para ti y sí, el mismo proceso debería funcionar
Tendrás el diagrama del arnés ?
Was it just plug & play everything works volume buttons on the steering wheel.. thanks for your time
Thanks and I just did a how to remove it video but I’m sure with the metra kit it’s plug and play

Is the removal the same for a 2020 Sentra I’d like to replace the factory with something else???
Yes the process should be the same

Yeah you could or just get the aftermarket one which would be cheaper than OEM radio
Do you know where the amp is located in the bose systems?
Not sure but they are usually in the trunk where the light is under the rear deck
do you have any videos or links on how to change my regular climate control to a digital version on a 2020 Altima S?
Unfortunately not yet was actually thinking about looking into it but I know it’s going to require a lot of wiring
@@TheRealCountryBoyModz i was thinking that
@@jamessapp3284 anything can be done if you have the equipment though

No I haven’t
@@TheRealCountryBoyModz anyways, thanks to this video i know how to get the radio out
I have a nissan rogue 2023, and it looks like the radios are the same. Im curious if this radio is able to have sub ran to it
I’m sure it can just have to see what wire will serve as a remote wire and you can splice into the rear speakers for the rca ports
can you put a aftermarket raido instend of using nissan raido
Yeah you can metra has conversion kit for after market
Can you tell me where is the factory amp located? I have a 20 . My back door speakers are not working now

Where would I get those red pry bars from ???
You can but these from Amazon link is in my description
