Keto Sausage Balls Battle - The BEST Low Carb Sausage Ball Recipe!
Join me for a low carb sausage ball recipe battle! I've been craving those Bisquik-style sausage balls that are so prevalent at events and family gatherings. IS it possible to replicate that on a low carb diet? We test one option with almond flour as a filler, and one without a flour-substitute. Which comes out the winner? Let's find out!

weigh the mixture, then divide by 25, then make each ball that weight. So if you have 450 grams of mix/25 = 18 grams per ball. Instead of weighing out all 25, you should be able to eyeball the remaining.

One of my go to breakfast/snacks on low carb! I use Carbquick for mine using the Carbquick recipe. For a little zing I use spicy Italian sausage and pepper jack cheese. So good! Pack them up in sets of 5 in snack size bags and put in the freezer. I toss a bag in the microwave for 1 min and they are warm, thawed, and ready to take on the go. 😂 I didn’t know this wasn’t shared across the country!! It’s a common holiday breakfast treat or gathering brunch style treat!
It wouldn’t be Christmas morning in our house without the smell of sausage balls in the oven while we open gifts-
A few other Christmas morning traditions in our house is I’ve usually made cinnamon roll dough and it’s also rising while we open- and turn on crockpot for some cheesy meaty dip because we like to nibble and chill Christmas morn and enjoy each other’s company, with juice/milk/specialty coffee rather than cook that day.

Wes, I LOVE your channel and binge watch to learn all you share! I made the sausage balls from The Best Keto Recipes and they are indeed very tasty! The cream cheese in that recipe keeps these moist after baked and adds a richer flavor. I just bought your book from Amazon, Ketogenic Diet on a Budget: Shop Smarter, Batch Cook, and Eat Better. It's exactly what I've been searching for. I had no idea you'd written a book. It would be great if you at least include it's cover on your videos and where to purchase. The only issue I had was there was a lot of grease and it looked like some of it was cheese. I think my next batch I will put on a rack and see if that helps. But even with that these are a keeper! I enjoyed the video and have now made the 5 Ingredient Keto Sausage Balls. I really enjoy your channel and appreciate your hard work. Next time I make these, I will be tweaking the recipe a little for my tastes but it's a great starting point. Following the recipe as written, the balls are too big and too greasy for me. I would suggest adding more almond flour or some coconut flour (more binder of some kind) and making the balls half as big.

So basically the second recipe we could use Italian sausage :-) and we could actually make spaghetti and meatballs with Rao’s marinara, miracle noodles-angel hair and Italian pork sausage balls :-)

    I've never heard of these.
I'll have to try them when the weather cools down.
The almond flour version looked better to me.

I use Pork Rind crumbs instead of almond flour (yuk!), available on Amazon or your grocery store. totally keto.

I think a little spice would be nice. Dice up jalapeños and onion,

What’s a good breakfast sausage brand? Many have sugar or corn syrup.

It’s easiest to find something sugar-free at a natural food store: Applegate Farms, Aidell’s, Whole Foods 365, etc.
I was in a pinch and used the Jimmy Dean All Natural Uncured. It does have sugar, but stays under 2g of total carbs per serving.

The regular recipe calls for garlic powder and finely chopped celery and onion. Why would you leave it out of a keto sausage ball? Seems it would add some crunch and additional fiber.

Do you ever try recipes with Carbquik? I made sausage balls with Carbquik years ago and took them to a potluck... people had no idea they weren't the real thing.

Should try Jennifer banz keto sausage balls. She seasons them and they are delicious. I've made them soooo much over my 2 years of keto. Thank you for your videos

Believe it or not, I've never had a sausage ball. Not sure what sausage is used, but I think I'll try a hot breakfast sausage.

Enjoyed yet another great battle. For me, I think I kind of like it a little bit better when you test 3-4 different recipes in your battles, instead of just 2. But, that’s just me. Thanks for what you do! 👍😃
