    I can honestly say this: I make Steve’s tortillas, and I do add a pinch of salt. They makes excellent soft tacos and so filling, too. Yes, do use the silicone mat; what a difference it makes. Best of luck with your family’s move: you should be very happy out WESt 😉

    Glad you compared these two, since the ingredients are similar. Steve's are so pretty and pliable, and you have a point: Just make a bigger batch of Steve's batter, which really doesn't take much extra time, but the cooking is faster, so in the end maybe better for batch cooking. All these tortilla recipes just in the past couple days, right when I need to make some!

    I make Steve’s (Serious Keto) tortillas with pork panko instead of almond flour to save me a few more carbs. You just can’t go wrong with Steve’s recipes.

    Steve's 90 second tortilla is my fav, and the silicone baking round makes all the difference. I do add a pinch of salt and some "corn chip" flavoring (Acetyl Pyrazine) when in the mood. Thanks for the long giggle break.... your EYES on the "get it up, get it off", I'm still giggling! Best of luck on your move, safe journey, I think you'll love it on the left coast. Granted, I'm WAY north of SD, but it's still the west. It's an amazing place.

    Edit: By the way, I quadrupled the recipe and got about 300 ml of batter. But, I used. 1/4 cup at a time and got 5 tortillas, and they were the perfect thinness!

    As soon as I saw it was tortillas I just knew Steve from Serious Keto would be included! I tried his 90 second version a couple times using the silicone mats and it was super easy and tasty. I haven't tried Big Mans World, but I'll give that one a go too

    Have to say, I got a cast iron tortilla press. It is one of my favorite kitchen tools. Use plastic wrap. I make tortillas, press hamburgers, etc. Thick, thin, just how much pressure you apply. Well worth it for about $25.

      As soon as a “land” that’s one of my first purchases. I’d love to be able to buy one from a local store in my new city. I just feel like you can’t live in San Diego without a nice tortilla press!
      (You mention using plastic wrap. Others have mentioned parchment. What are your thoughts about that?)

    That’s not Steve’s best tortilla. It may be quick and easy, but the best tortilla Steve has is the one where he uses the tortilla press and the cast-iron skillet. And he shows how you can make a bunch of them and put them in a Ziploc bag and freeze them.

      @Elyon Alone Awesome, thanks for the tip. I don't like cooking in the microwave either. But I do have a large griddle that I could make at least 6 large ones so I'm going to try that. It's not stick so I shouldn't need the mct oil? My tummy can't handle any coconut oil 😫 I can't wait to make these! 😋 I haven't had a taco in 3 years, I just make a huge taco salad, which is yummy too. These would be perfect. Thanks again. 👍

    Thank you, thank you for posting these recipes! I have tried 3 other tortilla recipes and all fell flat -- BigMan'sWorld recipe was fantastic! A really nice texture, really nice flavor, and they brown beautifully. As a (non-native) New Mexican, tortillas are a necessity!

    I make the 90 second tortilla all the time. I make a dozen at a time plus use pork rinds instead of almond flour. So awesome tortillas

    Steve says if you use the whole psyllium husk they won’t turn purple but they do turn purple if you use the psyllium powder

      @@cakerbaker9965 just do the usual taco filling with beef, cheese , lettuce etc. Or a lunch with cold meats, cheese slices either warm or cold. Also good with egg salad or tuna.

    I attempted the Serious Keto version with a few twists. I did not have whole psyllium husk on hand - I used the powdered version. My microwave is a bit small, so I opted to microwave the tortilla on parchment paper. The outer edges cooked great, however, the middle remained uncooked and stuck to the parchment ppr. So, I flipped the tortilla over on a hot buttered griddle (cooked tortilla on both sides). Surprisingly, it resulted in a crispy and textured tortilla. Really delish! Definitely making this again! ThanX for what U do!

    I love the 90 second version as it’s quick and I only eat one. If I made 6 or 8, I might eat more than 1. The mats really make the process easier. Yes, salt is a good idea to add to it.

    I will definitely try these! I've been using low carb tortillas, but they use up so much of my daily carb allowance. Thanks for these new options! And if they taste like they will work as noodles, I'll try them in lasagna, etc.!

    I love the 90sec single serve recipes because I have fibromyalgia and just don't have the stamina to stand there and make a whole recipe. I've recently found the 90sec bread recipe and that changed my life! I have a feeling this will too!

    So I just made the Serious Keto 90second Tortilla. I found that I had too much batter for one tortilla on the plate so I made 2 out of one batch. Then I made a second batch and spread it into a large rectangle on a rectangle silicon mat. It is surprising how thin you can make it and it still works fine. Much easier to lift off this way.     I have done the one by Steve and it worked pretty good and the round silicone helped a lot. But I will try the big man's recipe and see how they compare. Great video.

    I found a similar recipe as that of Serious Keto, but only 3 ingredients: egg, almond flour, and psyllium husk. I spray the plate with a little oil and smear it around, then microwave for 90 seconds. So incredibly easy to make, and very satisfying when making breakfast tacos or any kind of tacos. Sometimes I sprinkle a little chia or flax seeds for fiber. So, so good!

    Hey Wes, just want to say, you have awesome content and do a great job filming, editing and hosting the channel.
    I have a couple suggestions that I would love to see. I really like that you always show the macros of each recipe. I would love it if you kept the macros of each recipe on the screen at the same time. You usually have to top camera showing all items when it’s ready and then you show the macro on the right. Something that could be done is to zoom in to frame the finished products and have the macros appear on top of each the corresponding recipe. This will make it easier to compare the macros of each recipe. Also, it would be nice if the serving size of each recipe also appeared on the macros listing.
    Last suggestion, you currently have a two camera set up that I think works really well, except when you try to show food off to the front facing camera. I understand you are filming and hosting by yourself, which is why I think a third camera made for you to show off the finished recipe would really help the show. It could be as simple as your phone on a tripod on the table held at an angle that will show the recipe’s top / side with better detail.
    Anyway, really like the channel. You’ve been a great help to my Keto journey! I am one month and half in. Have gone from 311 to 289. Thank you for what you do!

    I make the Serious Keto ones all the time now and they're good and convenient. The other recipe looks good too, similar to the ones Ketoserts just uploaded which used coconut flour instead. I'll have to try both.
    You'll love SD, I make the trip to SoCal (and NorCal) all the time since it's not a far plane ride from Hawaii and it's a great area.

    These recipes look great! If a person is making a lot of keto tortillas, buying a tortilla press works out great. I got one for under $20 on Amazon. My favorite tortilla recipe is the flax meal and hot water. Easy and good! Take care

    if you flatten them with a round pan they shape into a perfect circle, use your bodyweight and make sure pressure is evenly distributed super easy works every time and you don't have to trim it ever
