Great video, I now feel confident to install my fa today!
Looks great, and with a brighter bulb installed that’s all the light you need. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxWF88GpljEn-0o34vtLFazEQ5h5Q33SjU As far as ease of installation- this was my first ceiling fan and it took about 3 hours because I had no idea what I was doing and also it’s helpful to have a second set of hands and a magnetic drill bit. Works great.
On 4/10/22 I mounted this fan and ur video HELPED me a ton!!! Thanks for the video!!! I’m located in Los Angeles ca
TURN OFF THE SWITCH FIRST!!!
Thanks for the helpful video.
Thanks for the step by step installation
Good video, i wish he would've just showed the wiring and connection process which is the most important thing lol.
Lol
thanks you helped me out!!
Thank you for the tutorial. I used your video for the assembly, and the hunter video for the wiring. I couldn’t find instructions for my exact setup, but I worked it out. It’s a dual switch, remote control receiver ceiling fan setup. The key for me was the additional red into the Blue-wire group.
cstayfresh2 ahhh thank you for your comment. I was trying to figure out about the red wire coming out of ceiling for me too and he seemed to have red by itself but that didn’t work for me I found out red is connected w wall switch but I didn’t know where red wire goes w fan.
Good job & thank you
excellent ! i was confusing where to put remote receiver but you showed it well ! nice job 👍
Holy moly. Cut the power before you do anything!?!
Exactly
No you want to feel the power sure beats a cup of joe.
About 2 min in first step turn power off
This was a very nice video. All tutorials should be made just like this !
This is good job
I have just bought a Hunter Builder (#50570) with light. Installed it per the instructions. This one has a connector block for connecting the ceiling wires. This is where the instruction book fails. The "block" has 4 "connectors": 1 x Earth, 1 x neutral and 2 (TWO) live positions. Books says use top Live; bottom is for optional "light kit". I connected to top "L" and get fan running. So I changed to lower "L"... Now I get light only....... Nothing in the book about this.
While I appreciate your video wish you would have shown the hardest part of connecting the wires to the other device, that would have been most helpful.
You should have showed the connection of wiring which is the hardest thing the assembly itself is not hard
he is a fucking jackass no reason of posting this video at all
I was wondering about 2 wire vs 3 wire install
Brian G. agreed
Bunch of fuckin whiny bitches up in here. Color to color you useless idiots. Let me guess: Trump supporters?
@@Tendomcgoobin let me guess china Joe supporter and no trump was coherent and still dropped the ball.If it were that easy no need to watch a video that red wire was left alone but thats the switch that goes to wall it should go to blue wire to turn light on and off without remote, but he never showed that part or did it so its not that easy.
I love ceiling fans
thank you ;-) i just switch all off first
Any clue how to get the dome off easily to change the light bulb?
Have you tried installing a smart dimmer fan light switch with this fan??.....
If you have a red wire connect to blue wire from fan and Remote switch that will turn light on with switch from wall without using Remote every time this video just showed tucking it in.
can you tell how you open the fan remote battery door
If you have a remote, you do not need a wall switch, especially one of that type. That type of wall switch is used for a fan with a light with pull chains in applications where it is impractical to use the pull chains.
yup
Is this normal that the downrod is not fully screwed into the base, part of a threath is visible outside? Doesn't look safe tho.
Great info thank you kind sir
Why are the wires silver in color. Are they tinned copper or aluminum?
Hello :) my Hunter Arcot fan wobble so much on highest speed. I also have U-bracket like you. What do I do?
They usually come with small weights you can put on the blades to counter balance. The issue is it's not straight. You should double check the blades are on correct and the unit is sitting in the u bracket correctly.
Wish he show the wires better I figured it out though. Not a bad video
My canopy scrws didn't line up.
Thank you for this video...I am trying to install a similar Hunter fan, but it does not have the transmitter. It has chain pulls for the light and for the fan. I have the white ceiling wire attached to the white fan wire, the black ceiling wire attached to the black fan wire and the two fan green ground wires attached to the copper ceiling ground wire. Which wire from the fan do I attach the red ceiling wire to?
I think blue, that is for light, red wire on ceiling fan connect to blue one on fan
Should have addressed the red wire from the switch, confusing
7:40 That's the RECEIVER, not the TRANSMITTER.
The one part I needed, you skipped over. It was what wires go to what wires
Look to the end. I do a specific wire setup in the thumbnail
Why would you leave out the most important step???? This video would have been perfect if you didn't leave out the wiring matching and hookup part!
Never mentioned if the fan has a switch to switch the direction of the fan? 😊
Where did the red wire come from? Originally there was a white/black/ground? The video is helpful but you need camera person to help...
Is your fan connected to HomeKit plzzz
No, everthing is standard
like
I got stuck at the wiring. Could not see what you did and did not understand the directions. Neighbor came by to connect everything.
Yes wiring is different depending on your ceiling setup. The best is to go by the wire diagram in the direction. Good to hear you got it working.
You didn't show how to pair the transmitter with the receiver.
You don't have to pair it.
Why no joist bracket
Not needed in this installation
How do I remove the light? There’s a bug in mine and I can’t figure out how to remove it..
Leave the bug alone it will die anyway.
i understand. Wire setup could be different and it's critical to follow the wiring diagram on the instructions. Some wiring is much easier but when there are dimmers involved etc. there are extra wires. Good luck with your project and thank you for the comment.
You're like a master electrician. I know you aren't an electrician, but that's who you're like.
My light start blinking sometimes
Maybe loose connection or surges in the power going to the unit. Also, could be bad fan.
Only the actual fan works and none of the lights turn on ):
Around 10:20 in the video, YOU SKIPPED CONNECTING THE TWO TABS. This was the ONLY step I wanted to see! Video fail!
These fans suck. I’ve installed around 7 ceiling fans before now. None of them have had this transmitter which just makes a simple task a complete pain.
any other low cost suggestions for a rental property jason?
I've had this fan for many years and no problem at all.
Not an useful video to me, not showing the wires connection…
At the end there is a video link specific for just the wiring.
Lol! This a parody vid!? Power off first! Wuh!?😖🥴
id never put the power on before the blades are installed - i've heard of wall switch being turned on by mistake with only two blades installed and it getting seriously unbalanced is it cranks up to high speed - otherwise good video
