What some of you don't realise is that the old brickie doesn't need to lay bricks he has done his bit and is now in charge of quality control not quantity !!! Top work
I really love you old brickie , you remind me of my grandad , no longer here, he used to take me fishing. If you don't mind I'd like to call you my grandad, lots of love .
Excellent way to make small batches I’ve been accused of standing too close to the water barrel from several batches. Also, if I let it stir too long, he would call it batter whipped lol !!
Ben fantastic work looks like new . Can you show us how you remove old bricks . Laying replaced bricks not as easy as i thought it would be . Love to Bexhills answer to Clint Eastwood not Dirty Harry- its Dirty Brickie 😁
Another great video guy's, thanks, has any of your customers not paid you for the work you've done? If so what did you do?, waiting on Thursdays video, thanks.
That damp bed joint is very intriguing to me. Is it thicker in hopes that dampness and moisture will dry hopefully get air and the dampness coming from the bottom could have a chance to dry is that the theory of it or is it a different type of mortar? If it can’t dry, it will die. : )))

I'm surprised how many bricks you can take out and the wall keeps standing up! Brick walls are pretty sturdy things

Was hoping to see how to remove the bricks and the way the old bricky recommended you do it !
I just cut a line with the disc cutter and break them out with a mini breaker
Would like to have seen a bit more of the actual pointing to see how you get it so neat (non-bricklayer here)
Hi I have not started the repointed we raked this brickwork out so when we repoint the colour will all match
Repointing starts tomorrow
Couldn’t agree more with the old brickie , thought you can still get heathers
You can 👍
Shadow filming is quite artsy…but I reckon ole brickie’s shadow is a better bricklayer than most brickies

That's an 11in cavity wall, do you need any galvanised cavity ties ?
For ? I’m only repointing and replacing bricks
Another top job Ben 👍
Does the old brickie like a drink are 2
Thanks. He used to live 8 pints and a few rums every night but he don’t drink any more
Tell the old man I’ll come Labour for him when he’s got some work to price up 🤦🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️🤣
Will tell him 👍
An interesting thought to me is : did the retrofitted cavity insulation cause the blown brickwork? Being below the window cill has also not helped.
I dont think it was anything to do with the insulation. Normally the wool
Fibre is soaking this was bone dry
Could be a bad batch of bricks
that sun looks very bright. I hope you stopped and got him some sun block as you didn’t bother to scaffold and sheet the job.
He was in the shade in the van 😂
I think the old man made my wall
Outside my garden - which has now got cracks inside it soon or later
It’s going collapse 😂
😂😂😂😂😂
One thing I’m wondering is, why can’t you cut the bricks out and turn them round?
They only have a face on one side the same as all Lbc bricks
