wow, this older video popped up and im loving it. the brisket, on your plate, looks super dry and tough but the buffet looks great. this must be before you liked fried chicken the most? at the time, you said the burgers were your fav. but having said that, i am only about 1/2 the way through the video. lol
I watch this Bacchanal video and your previous Bacchanal video over and over. You do the best job of all the reviewers. I am going to do the breakfast roll into lunch next month. Dinner is just even more overwhelming for the high price tag.
Yaaaaass this is more like it. Food buffet heaven. I especially like that you had a good pace when showing the food. Not too fast not too much lingering. I'm only 8 minutes into the video
Everybody has a different technique at the buffets, there is this temptation to go from the top and work your way down on the price list and that means several plates of seafood to get your money's worth...but you leave full and disappointed when you pass by all the good looking food that you didn't have room for and never tried. Because LV is not in my backyard like the locals have it, I have to see through TH-cam what each buffet offers and pre-plan what is something that I can get back home easily and what is only available in LV. This cuts down the list to a more manageable size, and a little of everything (a spoonful) leaves me full and very satisfied. If you fill up on crab and yeah you got your money's worth by the 3rd or 4th plate by weight but then you kind of missed the whole point of a buffet which has a a variety of food. The LV buffets to me are more about the experience and less about the food and trying things that I will probably never get back home. If you think about it, if all you do is eat crab legs and lobster at the buffet you could have done that cheaply at home and not pay for airfare and hotel and the restaurant fee...but could you replicate the LV buffet experience at home? 100% hell no...not unless you want to empty the supermarket, trash your kitchen, and feed an army. My plan is to pass on the Chinese food because you can get that anywhere and maybe better at a Chinatown. Pass on the sushi and dim sum, because I know I can always get that. I would focus on the unique dishes that I never will see again and save room for the desserts which is not going to fill you up much and leave you on a sugar rush to carry you on to the next LV adventure.
lol derek, I do eat a side of salad at buffets, not because i want to eat super healthy, but because it helps my digestion when I add greens and veggies, I have less digestive problems this way, great video!
? I plan on going to vegas in the fall; since this place is so expensive, do they have to-go containers, because I know I would want to take some with me for the price they charge. especially the deserts. I've been told they have all you can eat lobster, so I know I would lose my mind with the seafood alone.
@ all you can eat...that's to bad, for that price you would think you can take it with you. I went to a place in Atlantic City, year's ago, all you can eat for $150, everything was fresh and made to order and you could take it to with you as well; I've heard over the years the food in vegas has gotten very good, so I'm planning a strategy for my next trip. Lunch is great, but the big items don't come out until dinner. They have some seafood for lunch, but very little compared to dinner. Dinner by far is better than lunch. I try to get my monies worth by focusing on the stuff that's expensive. You cannot eat everything. Pizza is on the bottom of my list. Pasta is on the bottom of my list. Things that act as filler are not going on my plate. $65 is a lot of money to spend for lunch. You have to have a plan of attack so i do a tour of what's offered and then decide. Also avoid the soda you'll fill up on air bubbles. Thanks for the long video. Good job!

Yes, this is what I remember, the last time I was in Vegas. Caesars Buffet. Tables of food and mounds of shrimp. We laughed when we watched a woman with a BIG purse, go up to the table and pile her plate with shrimp, go back to her table and fill her purse with shrimp, then go back up again and get more shrimp and repeat. Guess that is all she wanted. I have to agree, everything looks so good and I would want to try everything.
My hubby and I wanted to eat at this buffet but the line was so long, we went to Rao’s restaurant instead in Caesar’s Palace. That was really good. We now buy Rao’s spaghetti sauce once in awhile! Hopefully we can try Bacchannel’s when we ever go back to Vegas! We’ve been to a few different buffet’s we like, some were free with our stay, but I don’t remember if it was free when we stayed there. I do miss Vegas! 😁
Don’t know why but the “large pats of butter”🧈 really just crack me up!🤣🤣 Honestly, it’s a great idea though b/c everyone likes different amounts of butter on various food items.
What time is the end of breakfast and they let you stay for the lunch at the same price? It's like a lifehack and seriously after a breakfast buffet you don't have room for lunch and for dinner you just can get by with the usual fast food so you stretch your money further. When you go at dinner time, it costs so much more and you end up broke faster with little money to play with...and it's kinda hard to sleep with a full belly. Dinner time is dessert time and maybe you can skip it with the last night there a special treat of fine dining.
Been to Beijing #9 since it first opened and fresh noodle makers were out front, never been disappointed, it is expensive, compared to Chinese restaurants off the strip, but not compared to other restaurants on the strip, quality is the best.

Love your videos. Every few months you should do a Top 5 Vegas Buffet video. When you upload your videos to youtube, would be useful to always make clear in the title if it is lunch, brunch, dinner etc.
There are so many items that scream filler that work against you getting more space in your tummy: soups, starches, carbs, any Chinese food, any Japanese food....I feel that Asian food will be better cooked by real Asian restaurants and that these Asian foods are made for a western tastebuds so it's a waste to even get them at a buffet especially a LV buffet that you pay 3 times more than the buffet you frequent at home. Whenever I see someone at these LV buffets fill up their plate with just one item or all crab legs...I can tell they are amateurs to the buffet game. For those that are experienced, they make a recon pass of everything looking, and then make a second pass getting a tiny sample of everything. When they are on their second plate they can do the same thing or have a seconds on their favorites. When you apply this technique, you are able to get much of the offerings to leave feeling you got the full buffet experience and don't feel ripped off.
I am so speechless. All of this food puts me into a drunken stooper with a food hangover! So much to eat and so many great offerings! The ultimate eating experience indeed. Great video Derek. Make all of my standard food at home taste much much better!! Thanks and enjoy!!

They are not Chinese custard cups, they are called Pastel de Nata, from Portugal, if yu google the history of how these came about its very interesting, the pastry is flaky/buttery. & they are lovely
Hey Derek, thanks for the review. Can you give an advice on when to get there if you want to take advantage of made to order pancakes and made to order tacos? Afaik they do those on the same wheel. Or aren't there made to order pancakes anymore? Would you recommend dinner before lunch even if it's more expensive? Besides seafood, what do you miss at lunch? Something like Primerib maybe?
I haven't seen them use the wheel for pancakes lately, but the made-to-order tacos start at dinner so I'd recommend getting there for a late lunch since there isn't much extra beyond seafood at dinner. Another wonderful buffet presentation, congratulations to you man. As you have shown there is a lot of choices, especially for someone like me since I am so much into Asian food, that said, I have only been to Vegas once 3 years ago.....anyhow, to me, Vegas and Dubai have so much in common, both are in desert and both are fake cities and lastly they have no choice but to offer good service to lure in people........it's all about marketing.....again what a nice video

Can you give an advice on when to get there if you want to take advantage of made to order pancakes and made to order tacos? Afaik they do those on the same wheel. Or aren't there made to order pancakes anymore?
Would you recommend dinner before lunch even if it's more expensive? Besides seafood, what do you miss at lunch? Something like Primerib maybe?
I haven't seen them use the wheel for pancakes lately, but the made-to-order tacos start at dinner so I'd recommend getting there for a late lunch since there isn't much extra beyond seafood at dinner. Another wonderful buffet presentation, congratulations to you man. As you have shown there is a lot of choices, especially for someone like me since I am so much into Asian food, that said, I have only been to Vegas once 3 years ago.....anyhow, to me, Vegas and Dubai have so much in common, both are in desert and both are fake cities and lastly they have no choice but to offer good service to lure in people........it's all about marketing.....again what a nice video

There was a time their buffet was awesome then it got crappy for a few years, Im happy to see it improved.
