  • Restoration of 18 inch Bahco adjustable wrench number 0675. I will do a lot of sandblasting, powder coating and polishing metal to mirror blank when i restore this Bahco tool.
And I will continue the ASMR feeling in this restoration video too. So, NO music and NO talk while working.
I bought this adjustable wrench on the internet here in Sweden for like 20$. Bahco is made in Sweden, so there is a lot of different types of Bahco wrenches and tools to get here for a fair price. This 18 inch wrench is a really nice heavy-duty quality tool.
The wrench was not that rusty, so I loaded the sandblaster with soft to medium sand (old well used sand) to achieve smoother result when sandblasting on the wrench. This time I only used 100 PSI (normally I sandblast at 120 psi) on my air compressor.
I removed some craters from the wrench with a soft metal file and sandpaper.
I wanted the jaws on the wrench to be mirror blank, so I used an angel grinder on them with soft cleaning disc, 120, 360 and after that I used water polish paper grid 1000/1500.
I polished the jaws to mirror blank on my bench polishing machine.
I did special powder coating on the wrench. I used a red RAL 3000 glossy. Then added black compounding wax to the raw metal to achieve that black old tool look and at the same time protect the wrench from rusting. So it's really a win win and for me this was a perfect restoration with a perfect end result. This it going to look good in my shop.
Please like and comment the video and tell me what you think. That will mean a lot to me!

Your video reminded me how my 8" vanadian chrome adjustable wrench is my favorite tool of all time. What a clever design. I never knew there was a bolt-like inner piece keeping the jaws aligned. Ingenuity and finely crafted to fit the hand, plus I have countless plumbing and automotive projects completed. Thank you!

I charge $30/hr to do the work with the wrench, and this wrench is $80 - that's being generous - and he probably spent 3+ hours to fix it. By fixing this wrench rather than buying a new one I would lose money. The saving grace for him is that the videoing of the restoration is this guys job. Hell he probably just put a band new one in a salt water bath. Buying a new one rather than restoring isnt necessarily lazy. Not taking care of the tool in the first place is.
