I didnt know this, so far going through practice the option isnt obvious? Maybe i need to spend more time looking at the options in practice mode, i would of thought the option would be the first selectable option.
Edit: keep in mind, i havent played MK since MK3, and ive only had the game for 3 days, probably 3hrs worth. I have 5 games on the go with MK being my least played during the week, so forgive me if the option isnt obvious.
@@scotchbarrel4429I dunno if you ever found it or not, but it’s in the tutorials, not the practice. Very bottom section of those is a series of I think 7 kombos you can learn for every character in the game

Tim little side note, Lt+Rt is a “Fatal Blow.” Fatality is a whole other input string
Tim you need someone to show you how the mechanics work in this game. I genuinely want you to get better and enjoy some nice combos, they are satisfying to hit.

Tim taking the time to get better and show the early growth, even if that's just playing towers with who he likes, or a whole video in training mode trying to do a combo. It's genuinely great to watch, and great content for the fgc. And if it gets anyone to try and do what Tim is doing then it's even better.

In other MK games they allowed you to pin move sets to the screen which made it SO much easier to learn how to use a character instead of having to constantly go into the menu. No idea why they took that out and it’s very annoying

Yo there’s a combo challenge for every character, it’s in the learn section. HIGHLY recommend doing your mains from start to finish at least once a week if you don’t want to do it each time you log in.

Hey Tim I am loving the MK1 content honestly it's one of my favorite games! I just wanted to tell you if you don't know if you click right trigger and left trigger at the same time you can activate your fatal blow which is a move that can do a lot of damage if it isn't blocked and it can kill your opponent if they have low enough hp. If you already know that's also cool I just thought this could be a little helpful

Tim if you didn't know, if there is a 3 button combo you can interrupt the combo with a special move, example a combo with scorpion is Y, X, and B, instead try Y, X then interpret the combo by throwing a spear

Tim use you fatal blow. When you health get low you have a fatal strike. Click LT + RT at the same time to engage. Be sure that your character is in range. ( range depending on which character ) but it will turn the momentum of the fight
Tim with regards to blocking you can block low and mid (mid being just pressing the button, and low is blocking while crouching) because there are 3 types of attacks, overheads (mid block) mid (mid block) and low attacks (low blocking) that's why some attacks hit you while you were blocking
Right trigger is the block button, use it.
These fighting games were always my Achilles heel. I am 36 yrs old and never could get the hang of Mortal Combat, Soul Caliber, and Smash Bros. I've been able to expert almost every other game genre. This one... I never made it past intermediate. 😞
