This was the perfect interview for the “akward” girls the “sheltered” girls that had strict parents Issa just made it comfortable to just be yourself and be unapologetic about it like who cares if you’re not doing what everyone is doing and I love how she’s private about her personal and is liked and respected by so many!!! I’m looking forward to see what’s in store for Issa career wise she is doing everything for the culture but also not putting the culture in a bubble or a certain “stereotype “ and I love that !!!!

I used to live in San Diego, first time from 2011 to 2014 due to me being in the military, second time from 2019 to 2020 I hated to leave but it got so expensive. That was great to see though on TV.
I didn’t know of Issa Rae until insecure. I fell in love with the characters. I also felt it was something I could relate to. I’m excited for her growth. I love film worth watching etc. it’s magic ✨

Just wanna say that before I even watch the interview that Issa is one of my favorite writers of this era. She made me feel confident bc I’m the awkward black girl too.
