So back to back testing my kit shock vs showa/WP almost 2 seconds a lap faster on the showa/wp over my kit. Thanks JB and Anthony for all the testing you put into this! Crazy to think an updated stock shock can be as good or better than my $3500 revalved kit shock at a fraction of the price. JBI still the peoples champ!
@@DDRDK I had JB set up my trax Kit shock which I love and then he asked me if I would let him set up my stock shock because he was getting really good feedback. I let him set it up and he set it up with his showa style ti piston kit with a regular style clicker adjuster and deleted the finger adjuster because I hate the finger adjuster. The stock shock is a little less plush that the kit but turns better and has more hold up and feels extremely racy. Both set ups are the best I've ridden and really it's like splitting hairs and I'm sure I can get the Trax there with some clicker tuning but I think it's Rad that these guys are testing the levels they are with a stock shock and offering a level of comfort, hold up and predictability that you would expect out of a A Kit trax shock. I've had 3 other top level suspension companies set my stuff up and JB hit it out of the box. I'm a 45 Vet intermediate level rider just for reference.
@@richyoung409 Impressive if they can get the stock shock to perform close to the trax. Vet rider myself and also using Trax / Cone valve suspension setup by an ex wp factory racing mechanic. It’s really miles better than anything I’ve ever ridden. And so easy to adjust to different tracks, clicker changes are really predictable. Again, impressive if the stock shock matches this.
JB on the KYB rear shock the HS damping adjustment doesn't have much effect on the deep sand tracks but the Kit KYB has 3 adjusters so does the HSD work better than the production shock for said track as the shock gets very hot.
Hello I have a 2023-25 exact pro traxx shock It’s riding like it’s just on spend it’s like pogo stick no rebound turn rebound all Way in our out and it downer do anything any ideas this might be have had two suspension companies take it apart and can’t find anything
Hello and thanks for the comment. Hmmm, there are a few places that issue could come from. Upside down piston. Broken rebound adjuster, stuck needle, wrong rebound shim stack for the spring rate. Piston isn’t flat. It’s challenging to diagnose issues without having the item in hand.
Ok i can turn compression it gets stiffer Just the rebound turn all way in pr out basically doesn't do a thing. 🤷♂️ Its at suspension place again so we will see They wanna put rhe wp piston back in but i dont think thats the issue
@@Moffattfamily-316 out of curiosity why would you want to change out the piston from an A-Kit XACT Pro shock? The A-Kit piston design does not leave much performance to be gained by changing it.
I would have no idea the suspension company which they do many or level Canadian rider suspension said the wp piston is junk and out a kyb piston in there. The second suspension company that looked it said to put it back to wp piston. 🤷♂️ I’m just the rider here lol.

It’s been a lot of fun working together. Your feedback has been instrumental. Looking forward to shredding together more.
Whats a showa/wp stock shock? Are you talking about a WP pro kit shock vs the stock one?
