ngl it made me cry seeing Angela becoming the kind of person Carmen used to be - smiling, positive, and hopeful even in the face of seemingly impossible goals - while Carmen fell deeper into her depression and became the voice of distortion. The original ending CGs mean even more to me now...
Ironically, Angela did become more like Carmen than Carmen is in her current state. In that sense, she inherited Ayin's determination and his unwavering stubborness, while inheriting Carmen's kindness, love, and hope. Which, speaking of which, I do wonder what we're going to do with Carmen now, given LC:B is going to focus on Distortions and Abnormalities...Wouldn't you think it's time to finally give Carmen the realization/suppression she needed ever since Lobotomy Corporation? It would seem that way; she's holding to beliefs almost antithetical to her original ones, holding onto a despairing view of life, unable to let go of her pains and fears... In that case, I suppose LC:B is going to have us un-distort the Distortion. That's going to be interesting.
It's extremely saddening seeing Carmen in LoR. She expected to atone for Enoch and push her loved ones in the right direction with her suicide, but it just drove everyone to despair and cause the whole Garion invasion and Angela's suffering in the first place. While both Angela and Ayin managed to overcome their grief, she was consumed by it and became the source of distortion, not even realizing or accepting how much damage her actions are causing to the City's inhabitants. Xiao acquired E.G.O. by dismissing her, and while she still died she did so on her own terms, and even got to be brought back! Meanwhile Philip and Yan became shells of their former selves. While Yan might be brought back normally thanks to Angela, Philip is just dead for good, never getting to become even a fragment of the hero he aspired to be, all because of a single moment of weakness that she and Oswald took advantage of. That's not even getting into the non-LoR distortions like the distortion bloodfiends who kill and turn indiscriminately.
@@darkuscarlet It's even worse when you imagine the underlying tragedy and irony in her manner of thinking; she saw how much her not cherishing herself and not loving herself damaged her friends and loved ones. She saw how much it broke them, how far it made them go, how much despair it brought....then, wouldn't it only be natural that sacrifice is a bad thing, then? Wouldn't the world be a better place should everyone cherish themselves, so that she may prevent tragedies like the ones that befell her friends? After all, Kali, her good friend, died sacrificing herself to protect the Old Lab. Ayin, her favourite junior, sacrificed all the happiness he could've had, went through (and caused) the torture of LC and eventually sacrificed himself too just for her. Just because of the downward spiral her death caused. It's no big surprise that she suddenly decided that she'd make people love themselves after she saw what happened when she didn't love herself, regardless of what that does to them. And yet, the tragedy and irony of not seeing that there ARE people who are willing to sacrifice themselves. People like Xiao, Kali, and Ayin. People who are capable of doing all of that to save what they care about. Her low self-esteem and weak heart seem to have her convinced that, since she couldn't bear sacrificing herself, no one else could. And, another layer of tragedy, is that she seems to have been talking to Xiao about how she shouldn't love or care for Lowell. That loving him so much would only hurt her. And that she should live for herself only. The tragedy is that Ayin went through all of that, so maybe that way of thinking is earned from seeing him go through so much because of his love for her...? Either way, it's just tragic. She doesn't seem to be wicked, villainous or psychopathic, she's just...lost. Lost and needing guidance, just as Angela, Roland, and the Librarians did. The problem is, nobody gave her that guidance, leaving her for her fears and doubts. I don't know what Project Moon has in mind for LC:B, but I sincerely hope we can give Carmen the suppression she needs there.
@@ahmedrizk300 On the other hand, it may have been fully expected that this was the case - Cutscenes that we see during Realization at face value has fairly chilling implication that Carmen may have been entirely conscious through SoL Project, Essentially forced to observe insanity and cruelty of Lobotomy Corp over 10k or so years. Perhaps that is the reason why she was convinced that simply by reawakening her emotion, she could persuade Angela back. Ayin either had no idea that this was the case, or he knew but he was convinced that Carmen would be able to withstand it - perhaps he may had no leeway to even care about such matter after their first lab got devastated.

They did it. They managed to top the previous update. Yes, the Head fight was cinematic and thrilling, but THIS was Day 49 and Day 50 all over again. Even with Sun and Moon. I hope this doesn't get nerfed because this fight filters those with low prudence. Bravo, Project Moon.
Silent Girl 2nd phase was....wow. This fight made me truly appreciate block dices as I kept overlooking them for most of the game. The fact that the Residual Desires at the front get 10 strength basically for getting hit forced me to change up my usual strategy by funneling down their most annoying attacks towards a librarian who basically was block dice Jesus until one of them got staggered. The moment I killed one of the front Residual Desires, I just spammed as many mass attacks as i could while dog piling the other front Residual Desire, then jump Silent Girl to the grave while Angela piles on ego pages. The only fight I disliked out of the bunch was Heart of Aspiration since it's virtually impossible for the main guy to not get bellow 7 strength once the lungs are down.

Ayin is almost identical to the Ancestor from Darkest Dungeon in terms of ruin everything, Only exception that the Ancestor never take back his shit and he also did it on purpose.

I was looking for a song by a little known Russian TH-cam composer Aljura the Song was an SCP Song Keter Containment breach. I think you see how this happened. I was using the YT App so I didn't see the library of ruina tag all I saw was keter realisation. As a result of watching that I was recommended more and more of your uploads still without realising there origin. I looked into and found LoR then L Corp a few months later. I love the native of this series and I'm ever thankful for your indirect introduction to project moons work.
When I heard First Warning, not knowing what kind of fight this was going to be, my mind was scared. It's never a good situation when music from the first game starts to play.

@@fluffy7358 Basically, some crybaby pieces of shit masquerading as fans sent death threats to Project Moon and review bombed the game after the update that added the final main reception and credits. PM caved and A) changed the credits location, while also having to change the credits themselves in such a manner that they are less satisfying. B) Removed Iori's last scene that act's as a set up to LC-B. And C) added this new fight.

That's not how fans work but sure man also you didn't really answer the question as I remember alot of people felt the ending was kinda mehish. Though I would say PM hasn't caved yet as they've not actually changed the ending yet, and definitly don't remember people complaining about where the credits were placed or the Iori end scene.
@@nickkelley9139 A lot of people who are big fans didn't like the ending though. Including me. I'm glad they revisited this part of the game but the death threats and review bombing were really childish.
@@Arc_ride I said some and only called out those that actively review bombed and sent death threats. I can see how the scene after the final reception can feel like a lack luster ending. That doesn't change the fact however that we were deprived of satisfying credits and a good scene that set up the next game really well.

I'm glad they used LC's OST, even if it was due to time constraints. It has some amazing songs and I hope they don't change it later, personally.

It's entirely possible that these songs are placeholders due to how this battle wasn't even going to exist at one point, but who knows?

@@fluffy7358 Basically, some crybaby pieces of shit masquerading as fans sent death threats to Project Moon and review bombed the game after the update that added the final main reception and credits. PM caved and A) changed the credits location, while also having to change the credits themselves in such a manner that they are less satisfying. B) Removed Iori's last scene that act's as a set up to LC-B. And C) added this new fight.
@@nickkelley9139 So "real" fans just take anything their given? That's not how fans work but sure man also you didn't really answer the question as I remember alot of people felt the ending was kinda mehish. Though I would say PM hasn't caved yet as they've not actually changed the ending yet, and definitly don't remember people complaining about where the credits were placed or the Iori end scene.
@@nickkelley9139 A lot of people who are big fans didn't like the ending though. Including me.
I'm glad they revisited this part of the game but the death threats and review bombing were really childish.
@@Arc_ride I said some and only called out those that actively review bombed and sent death threats. I can see how the scene after the final reception can feel like a lack luster ending. That doesn't change the fact however that we were deprived of satisfying credits and a good scene that set up the next game really well.
I wonder if one of the missing mili songs was meant to be put here, and the other one at the ego Philip fight.
