Every once in a while, I like to come back and listen to this interview again. Ringo is absolutely amazing! 🤩 I mean I love them all, but it seems to me that Ringo was the glue that held things together more than anyone else could. Well, for a while anyway. Wonderful man!
That was a fantastic interview...not because it was a Beatle for say,but because it was so casual and honest...it was easy to listen to and it wasn't all over the road..I could have sat here for hours, listening to Ringo...it was relaxing...Thank you Elliot and Ringo..very nice.
Thank you so much Elliot. I absolutely LOVE to hear the guys relaxed and not on their guards so much, which is rare. I honestly cannot recall another interview where Ringo is so easy and loose. As always,Peace ✌ and Love ❤.
Craig Warner Elliot seems to have that way with them- even John & Yoko who were hard to talk to sometimes; they all always seemed comfortable talking with Elliot
All four had very successful solo careers from 1970 to 1974 especially, and produced some wonderful musis. But by 1976, John had "retired", George's previous two albums (Dark Horse and Extra Texture) & his US tour had been heavily criticised in the music press, and Ringo's hits had dried up after leaving Apple/EMI. It was only Paul who continued as a "pop star" with Wings. At that time, even the biggest stars were contracted to release an album an year. And as solo artists, rather than as a member of a band, it was impossible to keep up the exceptional standard year after year after year.
Always love Elliot’s interviews. You can tell you loved them so much. How can anyone not just love Ringo?...he’s STILL adorable! Beatles are before my time but always love everything on them as a group & individually. Amazing men, amazing artists- the love passed to me through my parents & they will live forever. Never get tired of this stuff. Thank you Elliot. GREAT interview & thank you for sharing with us 😘👍
A big thanks to Elliot not only for conducting such a substantive interview with Ringo and uploading it but also for going through and answering people’s questions in the comment section.

Fantastic interview. When I worked at British Airways at LAX I printed out his boarding pass with the name Richard Starkey and I was able to escort Ringo and Barbara into First Class and he signed the back of the boarding pass. Awesome man.
I revisited this excellent interview last week (prompted by Sir Ringo's 80th Birthday celebrations) and was enthralled once more at the insightful, playful and heartfelt comments captured by Elliot back in 1976 (the 86 mins fly by all too swiftly - like so much sand through the fingers)...a true high water mark interview - the Host's low key, laid back but laser focused questioning is a lesson for any young person considering a career in journalism.....Bravo! (once again) Elliot
you are welcome. ringo is very easy to speak with and interview. he is a natural storyteller with a wonderful sense of humor. i am pleased so many of you enjoyed the conversation.
The way he relates the stories of the White Album and the Let it Be sessions sounds like he was telling his experience for the first time. He sounds fresh here. Thanks so much for posting.
Only 7 mins in and I have to comment. This is a wonderful insight on Ringo's birthday! Thank you for sharing your memories Elliot and in depth conversations. Btw follow this man on Facebook as I just recently did peeps. Fabulous stuff
One more thing: your introduction. I am STUNNED to learn that John would want to listen to an interview with one of his bandmates...and your description of that moment is....(for me) incredible. I would have thought he would have been blase about such a thing, wow.
hi tic toc. after i did that interview with ringo, i spoke with john about it during a phone conversation. we rarely talked about 'beatle memories'. i explained how candid ringo was in his reportage and how 'real' he made it feel. john always loved ringo and casually suggested a bring a copy of the cassettes to japan (where i was going to vacation with him and yoko). and so, i did. i got the feeling that john did not spend a great deal of time listening to radio shows about the group. there was no reason for him to do that. but listening to ringo also speaking about life in liverpool and related sbjects seemed to capture his attention.
First time I’ve heard this! So sweet and soulful. Ringo and Elliot two goodhearted intelligent men. Wonderful sound quality and as always professional but warm interview via Mr Mintz How I’d love to interview him. I cannot imagine a better friend.
I am just going to echo the sentiments below and say that this is THE definitive Ringo Starr interview; it's not too long after it all went down, but with enough distance to have a clear perspective. And because he's still a young guy in his 30s, he doesn't have to be so "polite". Fantastic, as always. Your channel is incredible, an absolute oasis......and one of the best secrets on the internet!!!!!! (I know I've said this a million times on your other videos). You are a true brother to all of us Beatle freaks (and music fans), a liaison between us and them. You have always understood BOTH sides of the curtain. PS: Elliot, I have a request! I would love to get your recorded memories just about the early days of rock and roll, from when you first got into it, and the records you loved, the shows you saw, the radio stations you tuned into, your memories of the collective rock and roll sociological experience you had with your own generation, and the generation that both preceded and followed you, etc... I'd even be happy to "interview" you for such a thing, I know I've got a million questions! - PSS: I hope you're safe and keeping healthy and sane during this awful time. Please take care of yourself, we need a strong and healthy Elliot Mintz!!!!!

This is a very interesting interview. Many thanks for posting this, Elliot.
