      pssst, u dont need a 3080 if u care about latency. CPU & ram matter far more than a GPU unless your playing above 1080p low which in that case you could logically justify buying a 3080, but then you'd be on a 1440p + monitor with higher latency already. It's not nvidias fault that there's a literal shortage of silicone and only one factory is operating right now.

    Nvidia pls make your AI work with several common hardware setups to find the best scenario i.e. low latency in the most common games.
    When I first started playing fortnite. Frame rate in replaymode was 5 Ms, at some time it was even less. In the last months it went up and up until it reached 12 Ms . Now with a just fresh reinstall after some non related issues, the frame rate is 8 to 11 Ms.

  • @l1mi13
    @l1mi13 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    When, why and what kind of games run better with a locked/unlocked max_fps? I heard somewhere that an unlocked FPS can cause more inputlag but at the same time I know some games think more FPS is better. Like in Quake one you will get lower ping time to the server with higher FPS due to how the server/client work. (lets keep possible tearing out of the equation).

    • @zazabean23
      @zazabean23 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Unlocking your FPS can have less input lag because your allowing your FPS to climb higher than it's average. Capping them at your highest average can have better latency & less stutters because your GPU isn't at 100% utilization. You can uncap your fps in games where you have reflex + boost because it prevents your GPU from maxing out. 100% gpu utilization causes input latency. Higher FPS = lower input lag, but it's not the only thing that gives you lower latency on a computer system.

    • @l1mi13
      @l1mi13 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      My bad I should have formulated myself better. We are thinking about completely diffrent scenarios. Youre writing about games with a heavy load and I was mostly thinking about games where you can get +1k min FPS.
      But yes, its usually a good idea to avoid spikes if thats an issue. I was more curious about what happens when you feed your monitor too many frames.
      The developer of osu! recommend capping it at 4x monitor Hz even if you can get it stable at 8x. The latency goes down to 0.3ms with unlimited/not capped and up to 1.6ms at 960 FPS on a GTX 970. Still he claim that 960 is optimal for a 240Hz monitor and that anything above cause delay/lag. That also goes hand in hand with what I read in an article about monitors a while ago.
      I must have been half drunk when writing that question 7 months ago.

    • @zazabean23
      @zazabean23 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@l1mi13 Assuming the game engine is not bugging out, feeding your monitor excess frames is fine. It just causes tearing if not synced up properly. There's technologies that were developed for this reason. The scanout will be faster the more FPS you're getting. it's all good homie lmfao. a gtx 970 is a okay card and could do that. I have a 1070 ti and i get well over 1.1k fps in multiple games. Krunker, Rocket league, Fortnite, etc. That being said i do very risky tweaking with my system and obviously i could get more fps but some of the tweaks are prioritizing the input from my peripherals before other important tasks.

    • @zazabean23

    15ms the lowest ? isnt the 360hz monitor a 1ms monitor? how can u get lower?

    • @zazabean23
      @zazabean23 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      wow you literally didn't understand a word that came out of that guys mouth. No monitor on the market will have a 1ms pixel response time covering every color transition. Input lag isn't pixel response time. Pixel response time "1ms" is how long it takes for a pixel on your screen to switch to another color. Input lag would be scanout frequency (hz/refresh rate) and display processing (extra lag to make the picture (frame) look better. 15ms is not the lowest possible input lag on a computer.

    Warzone update with Reflex + vsync on a gsync monitor is excellent, but please help them fix the frame limiter, is still garbage, and it hinders latency when activated even way below the limit, there is something truly wrong with that limiter, at least is precise now, but absolutely unusable
    , for everyone with gsync: uncap the game and use Reflex + vsync

    the amount of times i died to peakers advantage

    • @goblinphreak2132

      the main issue for peekers advantage is lag compensation for network code. in their little demo, they were showing two systems, same network latency, but one with their nvidia reflex enabled to reduce latency, and the other with disabled. they are CREATING an issue, then solving it by saying "buy our gpu" to get more sales. in reality the biggest "fuck you" to us gamers are the games, aka all of them, which utilize a lag compensation system, so low ping players don't shit on high ping players.... quake 3 arena days were mint, 5 ping would shit on an entire server due to lowest latency. i remember having dial up and getting shit on because i had 50 ping. got comcast in the new house and bam, 5 ping, shit on everyone else.... i miss the days of ping advantage. and whats funny is, the whole point of lag compensation was to help have MORE gamers together to make servers more populated. except now there is easily 10x+ more gamers in the world playing pc gaming, so you don't NEED lag compensation to help fill servers. you can literally have east/middleus/west servers, and everyone would have a good time. but no, they use lag comp and put my east coast ass on a west coast server and the only time I can win is if i abuse peekers advantage.....

      @@goblinphreak2132 Your reaction time is the biggest bottleneck. 2nd is input latency, and then network lag. If your ping is stable then it's not a huge deal, if it has high jitter and packet loss then it's a huge issue. I prefer to focus on my motor skills > network latency. I don't play videos games at the moment simply because my internet is so awful that it's actually pointless. I'm waiting until i get my 360hz and the atompalm mouse comes out and i move into my new house. I can't stand dying to fucking bots when i'm easily better.

    • @zazabean23
      @zazabean23 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If your uncapped then yes ULTRA, in game just use on + boost. The nvidia control panel option only works for games that don't have it built into the game. When you select on + boost in game it overrides the nvidia control panel setting.

    Did they ever play FPS games? even if one has the advantage the user with lag all over the place can see you first as long as he is the one picking on the corner.
    Is the only reason high ping users most of the time still manage to go aggressive and kill you.

    • @zazabean23
      @zazabean23 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That wasn't even English but games with very optimized net code don't 100% work like that. If you have a very long ping and system latency then you can probably win majority of the gunfights.

    never mind system latency...focus on product supply first!

    • @zazabean23
      @zazabean23 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's not how that works. There's a literal shortage in the chips that make up CPU's and GPUS. Only one factory is operating right now. Do some research
