      Thank you. Yes, that machine is very expensive but so far It hasn’t disappointed me. So much you can discover with it. Sometimes Decent sells machines with imperfections for a bit less but it is still a lot.

      It looks amazing, they even have a tea basket / profile. This coming Christmas maybe Santa will bring me a present. First I have to master shots using my Breville touch 😁. Keep the great videos coming!

    Happy birthday, brother! One hell of a year for you. Video quality seems fine, btw. Would love a coffee tasting comparison- a few different varietals/common origins and what you taste as being common signatures among them. Also, what’s your favorite espresso right now?

    • @mycoffeeshow111
      @mycoffeeshow111  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you! Comparing different coffees is fun but especially now with Decent, each one would have to be dial in properly. On top of that, each grinder gives a slightly different flavours. And we have so many recipes on Decent. My favourite now for espresso is that coffee from Good Life Coffee you could see in the last few videos. Great balance of sweetness and fruitiness It doesn’t work well with pour over or with milk based drinks though.

    Happy birthday! Thanks for the interesting comparison. That puts me to think if I can use my Breville for pour over, no portafilter, just the shower screen, setting pre-infusion to 0 sec, manually pressing the brew button, weighting and timing myself. Which almost equivalent to hand pouring except the shower screen is doing the pouring work. haha, just a Decent dreamer dream talking.

    Jack, I love ya’. Your videos always brighten my day. I love your smile and your enthusiasm for coffee! I also learn so much from you. Would like to see you get a Flair and compare it to your La Pavonni.

      Thank you very much. I was actually thinking about Flair 58 today, for when I travel, but I spent soo much recently that, at least for the moment I have to play with what I got.
      Well, maybe just one more grinder , or two 😛

      @@mycoffeeshow111 Flair 58 is a bit less portable and unfortunately doesn't come with a travel case like most of their other machines. But it shouldn't be too hard to lug around if needed. I tried comparing my basic classic (40mm?) flair with the La Pavoni Europiccola (51mm group) and the results were very close but I preferred the La Pavoni more, only did a few shots with 2 coffees, but both times preferred the Pavoni slightly.

      Workflow wise the Flair 58 would be best. Apparently it's more work to press though!

    Cześć I co będziesz tak jeszcze ze 3/4 minuty trzymał ten dripper nad podłoga i niech sobie kapie na nią :( inne pytanie czy i ile wody Ci wyciekło na blat i dlaczego tak intensywnie to się przelewało na filmach udostępnionych przez Decent jest to przelewanie delikatniejsze.
    Pozdrawiam

      Czesc, dawno już tego nie probowalem. Raz zrobilem pour over ze zwyklym sitkiem i tez nie bylem zadowolony. W zasadzie to zaraz zaparze bo wlasnie mi sie kofeina opadła i zobaczymy co wyjdzie. A ty probowales to na swoim?
      Ok zrobilem wlasnie przelew, 15g kawy, 260g wody, Varia Flo i ciagle nie jestem zadowolony. Moze trzeba zmielic drobniej ale to co wyszlo nie ma pełnego smaku.

      Cześć
      Ja jeszcze nie robiłem nic z tego czekam na to dziwne sitko resztę mam kupiłem mały dripper serwerów mam sporo to coś dopasuję
      Bardziej myślę co podstawić pod ten wylot wody i to tak by jeszcze wagę zmieścić.
      Nic dojdzie sitko to się pobawię kaw śmiesznych mam sporo :)
      Może i trzeba będzie drobniej zmielić niż pod zwykłe przelewy ja na początek poszedłbym w niższe ciśnienie aby woda z tego sitka tak szybko nie wypływała jak u Ciebie bo tam w tym driperze robił się "sztorm" a to powinno chyba płynąc jak delikatne fale na mazurskich jeziorach :)

I pod takie coś będę sobie to przygotowywał po to by pozbyć się z blatu kuchennego ekspresu pod przelewy jakie mam i używam np tego MARCO, Ottomatic Coffeemaker

      In his Kinu vs Commandante Video the manual pour over ended up better, what went wrong with the Decent there? Too hot water maybe? I saw it's set to 100c. Although it should cool a good amount as it drops, I see people set their decent machines LOW temp when brewing espresso for some reason, like 90c which on most machines would be a bit cool for a light roast I think.

    • @mycoffeeshow111
      @mycoffeeshow111  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@BensCoffeeRants yes for pour over the set temperature is 100C, but as you said it will go down by the time it reaches the coffee .
      Some profiles for espresso go as low as 88C. Part of explanation for that is that temperature is measured at the group head, not at the boiler as with most of the other machines. Anyway I am not smart enough to argue with Decent so what they give me I take 😛

    • @BensCoffeeRants
      @BensCoffeeRants 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mycoffeeshow111 Yeah, even James Hoffman said for his pour overs he just uses water right off a boil, this was right after I got a fancy temperature controlled kettle thinking you probably wanna use 205 ish F water, but nope maybe not :D
      Good call, if it has a pre-set probably best to use that until you figure out and see if it needs any tweaking. For espresso the default profile is supposed to be pretty good!
