I can't tell if this is better than the Filter 2.1. It is a cleaner cup but requires more steps. I usually alternate between the two. oh you guys say this at the end.
I feel like I have to not only remove the drip tray (my setup is not countersunk), but hang it off the edge of the counter to use this basket & profile
So was it a size 2 V60 or just a size 1 with size 2 filter cut off a bit? I have both sizes at home and have been trying the filter 2.1 with the size 1 which works quite nice as well. It makes me nervous not to grind too fine though as there is not much room for error and the machine doesn't hesitate to pour as it was programed to 😂
The lack of space for the V60 stack when portable, not countersunk, is a bit of a bummer. More so as I am contemplating the XXL, for the "4-cup V60" capability above anything else..... Are anyone aware of some flattish/fat servers which could fit with just the drip tray slid out on a countertop setup? Literally brewing into the (even if cleaned) drip tray, and pouring from a the drain hole meant for plumbing out, is a bit much...... :) I'm rather mobile. Of the 4+ months at a time, not roadwarrior/hotels, kind. Big appeals of the Decent are transportability, and all-in-one. On a smaller counter, it could replace a Robot(lever), Micra(steam and traditional espresso), and a boiling kettle + V60 (+Moccamaster for bigger batches). At least in my, possibly rose tinted, fantasy. I can't countersink and/or plumb in other people's rental houses, as well as offices, every 4-18 months, though.
@@tomsgrinderlab it most certainly is not. Firstly, the grinder in the video is pretty narrow up top while the Duo is very wide. And secondly, the Duo does not have the "filter/drip" indication that they are commenting on in the video.
May i ask what preset settings you use and can it be used for different coffee beans as well? Thank you😊

rotate your drip tray sideways and place it between the legs. that's what I do.
Hi! is it necessary to change the water in the water tank to a hot water?
or it can be with a room temperature water?

Were you using a Niche Duo? Which burrs did you use?
standard espresso burrs, not their filter burrs, but it'd be a good idea to switch the burrs, probably
