    Awesome! I was wondering how to get more heads up and more enthusiasm but I see the bouncy step just comes with the heads up. Makes me want to install a camera so I can review after.

    My puppy licks when I do this rather than a straight push? What can I do about ghis?

    • @JaniceGunn

      I would try having him do a push and if he is licking don't reward, wait until he stops licking then mark and reward, just do this in a stationary position. If he just doesn't get it and the licking is irritating then raise your hand so he can't lick, mark that behaviour and go back and forth from a push to a raised hand.

    Seven is such a gorgeous dog! Thanks for this tutorial, I love your training style and energy... makes me realize how boring a trainer I must seem to my dogs lol 🙄 Will try all these tips for sure!

    Loving your content 👍 Can you advise if The Push Heeling Method course covers how to transition to no hand but keeping the head position, straightness and focus?

      Yes it does! It covers from start to finish....Thank you for your comments!

    At what point do you work on that nice prancing motion I see Seven doing in this video?

    • @JaniceGunn
      @JaniceGunn  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      It happens thru all the steps I take to teach the push heeling. Altho a prance is not necessary just a dog that is active in his heeling, and with that the chances of pacing are very slim as well.

    Hey Janice. I compete in IGP and am ready to teach heeling to my 17 month Mal. I have done lots of target work as well as year end awareness with her but not been happy with methods of heeling I've seen. Push heeling looks like our thing. Before I order your streaming videos I have some questions. How long is my access to the videos? Can I only watch from one device? Thanks! I can't wait to get going. Mari

    • @JaniceGunn
      @JaniceGunn  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There is no time limit on your access to the videos. Once you order you will get permissions from our website to log in and watch - on any device, not sure about 2 at the same time tho.

    Any tips for small dogs like Papillons or Jack Russells (I have both)? I could bend over, but I think standing at a real trial would change the sight-picture. Do you teach the dog to push a target stick or something like that instead?

    • @JaniceGunn
      @JaniceGunn  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Personally, I don't teach this to small dogs. I use a target stick and other focal point areas. I do have a on line video on small dog heeling it shows all the different techniques I do with small dogs.

    I would love trainers to show how they teach these things to small breeds as well.

    • @JaniceGunn
      @JaniceGunn  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I do not teach this method to small dogs. I teach small dogs differently because many would not be able to bend over for any length of time to get a push. My small dog video is available to purchase on my website store here is a link www.tntkennels.com/product/positively-powerful-heeling/
