It’s not the rifle, it’s the inconsistent rim thickness of the ammo. I rim sort most of my ammo for my 10/22 and it shoots very well with lower quality ammo and it shoots lights out with higher end match ammo. If you care to dive deeper into the world of rim thickness sorting and maybe weight sorting your ammo you will see most if not all the fliers disappear and tighter grouping from your testing and a more consistent group average for the ammo sorted. If the chamber end of the barrel is visible looking up through the mag well with the bolt closed you can measure the gap between the bolt face and face of the barrel to get that measurement then add to that the depth of the bolt face for your total headspace measurement. The best performing ammo will be close to if not the same measurement as your headspace measurement.
When I got my TM22 few weeks ago from Tenda, they recommended the CCI mini mag 22LR 40 gram! So I got 200 rounds of CCI. But I still don’t have time to the rang for the ammo test.😅
I've had ZERO issues so far with Federal Auto Match ammo and with the OLD 711b standard velocity target ammo. I ran a few old Winchester copper plated bullets through it, but not enough to make any judgements (but zero malfunctions there either) And my group of 10 rounds at 25 yards with the Auto Match were easily covered by a dime.
Hi great vid as usual see the snow is still there and may I pick your brains do you no of any mag speed loaders for the cz457 mags as I don’t have cast iron thumbs
I don't know if there are any and I have never used one to date. but that's the bonus of bolt actions you make every shot count unlike these things where its hard not to follow up faster
That doesn't seem to be a "ammo test" type rifle. I think if I had one and found one it liked I'd just stick with that. As always Ryan another great video. Waiting now for July and one with mo snow on the deck 😅
Hi Ryan, how does the semi auto rifle round differ from other sorts? Does it have a hotter charge or a different shaped nose or is it just marketing and there is no difference whatsoever? Greetings from a very sunny Germany.
I am not sure to be totally honest but I would imagine that it would have a slightly hotter charge to cycle the semi automatic action. but that's a great question. thanks
From what I'm seeing on YT from you and others, the velocity of this ammo is right around transonic at the muzzle. Bad news if you're looking for any kind of consistency relative to MOA. I don't think sorting this stuff would make any difference.
I honestly don’t have the time to sort ammo so I just pay a bit more for the ammo and get pretty good results. I’m sure you could but I just can’t be bothered
It’s a Bushnell elite tactical 4.5-18 but now I switched to a discovery ED AR1-6 ffp which suits the rifle a bit better. I have a couple recent videos with it and one coming in the beginning of March. Cheers and have a great day
@@BROTUNED Yet all I can say is that the stock was cracked at the store out of the box so my stepfathergot it for very cheap instead of paying to destroy it! He fixed it... and never fired it. I bought one on Saturday and it's the worst gun I've ever bought. Went to the range Sunday and in the span of 300 rounds I had at least 15 jams and at least 15 misfires. Went to field strip it when I got home and I can't get one of the screws out. Probably going to sell it for like 5 bucks.
TH-cam changed the magazine rule for inserting and removing, pretty dumb rule which is why they changed it back, but your mag has to be 29 rounds or less, another super dumb rule that no one follows, don't think they have people counting HAHA!
Thanks I wasn’t aware they reversed the stupid rule. Things are getting ridiculous here nowadays but it is what it is I guess lol but thanks for letting me know cheers!
I was "Snow Blind" through 1987 growing up in Florida.
Bought one and it like sk long range. Very nice and quite accurate...pleasantly surprized
Good to hear they work great for the price

Interesting issues in this shooting video. Thanks for sharing.

I never shoot lead bullets in my autoloaders. They foul up the barrel and cause feed problems like you experienced.
I didn’t know that
Stick with the copper jacketed ones.
Thanks Dan

Update: this is the best shooting ammo so far out of my stock CZ. Groups are averaging around .4" at 50 yds. Very surprising.
What scope you using? Gun looks great!

I think the problem might be the magazine.
They are pretty fun
*A bit rough but hey! Haha*
Maybe this is just not the ammo for it
_Hopefully the Derya 12ga Ive been gifted will pepper better 😁_
That’s awesome do you have it yet?
@@BROTUNED No but hopefully soon...

Pretty much every video of this gun shows a ftf after the first round. 🤷🏻♂️
Ftf?
