Too be fair, its the only time one really can and is also necessary for a 5 sessions of 7hr straight tattooing. You sign up to be a canvas on a show were they are timed, and competing against one another doing challenges, and stuff way outside of their comfort zone all while being stressed the fuck out, youre agreeing that youre ok with being put through the ringer for a free tattoo.
Gaurentee most of the people on this show, in their own shops are way nicer and more considerate towards their customers, than they are too canvases on the show.

Def the best approach. If a canvas doesn't trust the artist, they'll feel the pain more. Having another person's trust hoes a loooonnnggg way in relieving pain. (said as a midwife of many years ☺️). Fear is more painful, for sure

The guy was really tough through it all, he didn't wine and cry the whole time.
After a couple hours of being tattooed you get used to it trust me especially if there were some sensitive places the first hours
Same with cleen rock ones winning tattoo and he had double rib tattoo
I mean I'm sure he did just fine but you're only seeing 9 minutes of a 35-hour long tattoo lol
The back is not a painful as the side. I sat through my back tattoos so easy. The side I had to take a break twice.
Any decent tattoo artist will do the painful and sensitive areas first to get the worst out of the way for the patient. I got knuckle bangers and the sections closer to the tip of your finger hurt a LOT more than the other sections. My artist did the tips first and then went from there. Even though the knuckles hurt as a whole, I barely even felt the 2nd half of the session because I was still feeling the pain from the 1st half
She's so humble, admiting japanese is an intricate style, she gave it a try and comitted to learn.
Her canvas was so good throughout the whole time . Excellent chemistry, you can tell she made him feel as comfortable as possible . Always complementing the tattoo.
All tattoos ,and even relationships are a gift from Retesh Patel ! He has long since attained his sixth chakra, and opened his third eye ! Suffice it to say he is in a constant state of Nirvana ! Would you please give me you're phone number to give to him ?

Even though personally I would never get a tattoo this style, this big, or even sit through all those sessions, I can’t do anything but appreciate the artwork she did. What an effort, and all those details. And I can’t Imagine the pain!

Without sounding sexist and acknowledging that I’m about to paint with a wide brush just hear me out. Growing up I was the only son with 3 sisters so I got to witness much of the frustration my sisters experienced. I’m 45 and 2 were older, 1 younger. So we were 70s 80s and 90s kids. In many ways women were still fighting up hill battles. So finally to my point... it has been my experience that women breaking into a boys club focus more and work harder to feel equal. Listening to her say that she basically didn’t want to compete against slackers made me think of my sisters. It makes me happy to see her so confident

it's the same both ways. Boys that goes to more women dominated work tend to perform better to. Guess it have do to with the fact that Boys like Girls want to show that no, this job can be done by everyone, also you generaly have more eyes on you, no allowing you to slack that much.

She is probably my favorite contestant. So many of the artists can be so demeaning and rude or even outright sexist. They can be so rude and uncaring towards their canvases. She's so nice the whole time and speaks to her canvas in a way that feels personal and kind. She's got a personality that's such a breath of fresh air compared to so many other contestants on this show and she's got the technique, bedside manner, and art skills to match. She absolutely deserves this win.
This is actually a super strong tattoo, and the research she did into the lore is much appreciated!
Was this win a surprise for anyone? She was the strongest and more consistent hands down.
Its not even that. Don't get me wrong, she was a strong competitor, but Jason didn't follow the challenge, and Danis while being Bio-Mech, imo wasn't as Bio-Mech as it could have been. Her tattoo was incredible and she deserved the win, I just think the other 2 could have done so much better.
@@ivenstorm for someone that never ever touched bio-mech you cant say that should have been done better , not a chance but this one followed the rules and and was just as hard so it deserved to win , but like i said biomech is something you never get it right and not to have ever done it and it came out like a guy atchinson piece that was incredible

@@ivenstorm Dani's main problem was her being a slow tattooer. She couldn't put more detail because she wouldn't have had time to tattoo it.
@@ivenstorm getting biomech is a death sentence for anyone. Kinda like Gian getting watercolor (still think his was the best amd was most consistent that season). The design wont win regardless of how its drawn or executed due to the style. I personally preferred Creepy Jason's tat by far.

My first tattoo I ever got was a traditional Japanese dragon tattoo in red ink. It took 18 hours and was pretty painful. It's been 10 years (I'm 26) and I've never regretted it

I give props she did step by step made sure all the linging was perfect the shading was great she was on point with everything the details and the coloring was badass

she reminds me of my artist. puts a lot of thought into her work, has so much passion and drive, and she also interacts well with the canvas/client. She makes good conversation with him, is really thorough with her explanation of the process+plan, and is really friendly.. wish i could get some work from her.

I don't mind the japanese god, I think the ones who got women with naked chest were in a tougher situation. Since women have to cover their chest by today's standards, it just gets akward to have a naked woman tattooed on your body, when you go to a swimming pool or the beach. You could just avoid getting to those places but I'd rather not be thrown out of somewhere because of a tattoo. And I wouldn't want to wait until it's finally appropriate again for women to show their chest

That was one of the sickest back tats I've seen, even though I'm not a huge fan of traditional Japanese theme tattoos. Mainly because I think it's too cliche
Well thing is I didn’t rate this batch of ink master that much... I always thought lack of big personalities but damn she prove me wrong this is by far one of the best master canvas in ink master ... kudos! U derserve it
