All alcohol inks can be removed with alcohol. The Ranger brand of alcohol ink also sells an alcohol lifting ink pad that can be used with stamps to lift designs using rubber stamps.
Hey, thanx for watching. You will have to test your specific glossy paper. I know it works on photo paper and have seen it used on glossy paper but think it could depend on the brand and how much the paper will absorb the ink
Great info, thanks! What percentage of alcohol did you use? Here in the U.S. the usual type readily available at a pharmacy is 70% or less, but I know some artists use 99%.
Thanks so much for watching. Glad it was helpful. I used 90%, the lower % alcohol tends to make the alcohol inks a bit sticky sometimes (also depends on the substrate)
From what I understand, rubbing alcohol has a lower percentage alcohol (around 70%) while isopropyl has 90% alcohol. The lower % would just take longer to dry and tends to make the inks sticky. Thanx for watching
There is a spray varnish that can be applied over alcohol ink, I have forgotten the name. I don’t use it as all my projects are in art journals or scrapbooks and I dont need it to be sealed as those projects will not come in contact with solvents. If however you make something like a mug or coaster you will need to seal it. A quick search on YT should help you find the product. Thanx for watching ❤️
Absolutely brilliant....ive only just discovered you...👏👏👏

Hi, fabulous context. Thanks so much! Question: can you please tell me which airbrush you’re using?
Thanks for watching, I have an Iwata Revolution airbrush and a small inexpensive portable Aircraft compressor. Hope that helps
Perfect, thanks so much!
Thank you for a very clear answer to that question! Exactly what I wanted to know.

is there an ink that can be removed with alcohol? thinking of coating a piece of metal then using a stencil to remove parts of the ink

Can you do this on glossy paper as well?

Hi, quick question. Is rubbing alcohol that has Isopropyl create the same effect as isopropyl or not?

@@theresacreativestudio thanks for the response:)
How to fix your work with alcohol ink and Isopropyl Alcohol? You showed that your second paper with Alloy releases ink if you rub on it.
