I just started watching your videos about a year ago. I appreciate all your helpful insights and sewing tips! I absolutely love your sewing studio! I have a smaller quilt room that brings me joy as well! Thank you for your positive outlook and kind words to everyone!
I love your reality quilt show....don't change a thing. Your sewing machine quilt is lovely, the Sue Spargo touch is beautiful, yet not something I have the desire to attempt so was glad to admire yours.
Love your videos Anna both here and on FlossTube. Thank you for keeping them going. I am in my "beehive" sewing away making face masks for our community and friends. I am thankful that I have such a space to retreat to. Never bored either with numerous projects around me from quilting, cross stitch, card making - crafters are lucky people. Anyone who has gone through an illness or looked after a family member knows what self isolation can be like. For us social distancing is not something to be endured, we know what it is like, we got through before and can get through it again albeit a difference reason. It is but a short distance in time. Having you on while I work helps me , and you are a lovely friend who sits beside me as I sew.
So enjoyed spending time with you again in the beehive 🐝❤️. Love the sand dollar project it is on my to do list one day as I also go from project to project lol. Stay safe and bee well 🐝
Hi Anna. Thanks again for a dose of relaxation. You are such a gift to all of us. I even had a few chuckles, something else that's much needed in these times. Stay safe and healthy.
I love your stitch and quilt videos...you are so encouraging to so many...🥰 Thank you for being so selfless with your time. I want to learn quilting and your beautiful projects have been very encouraging to me. Loved the little tour of the beehive with showing the quilt...😁. Soon quarantine time will be a moment in the pass...so my crafts have been very comforting during this time...along with TH-cam videos. See ya next video! 😊
Anna, I generally watch you on a tv which does not allow comments nor "likes." But I wanted you to know there are lots of us out here who think of you as a good friend. Thanks for keeping us connected. My "beehive" is very small but cozy and full of virtual friends like you. Keep on keepin' on!
So funny you called yourself an enabler. My stitch crew call ourselves The Enablers. And I was just thinking you would have to join our crew as I ordered Sue Spargo's stitches book yesterday and gave you credit for bringing me to the fold. Thank you so much for sharing your passions with us. It feels like you are a great friend I have never met. Maybe one day I can make it to the Sisters show and actually get to share a cuppa coffee with you. Blessing and stay safe!
Hi Anna. Thank you for another sweet video. Yes, you are an enabler, but that's ok. In fact, it is better than ok! It's a lot of fun to see all of your projects, and try to decide which ones that I want to do first. lol I have certainly heard of Sue Spargo, but have never really watched any of her videos. So I have decided that I need to watch some. Your sand dollars look beautiful. Have a wonderful day in the Bee Hive. Take care, Diane.
Thank you again for helping me get through another day, I so much love hand piecing in my craft room with your company. I look forward to your next podcast. Keep safe. Don't think too much about the isolation - We all make the best at brightening each others day x
I too create my own precuts from my left-overs. I also have quite a bit of my stash is from donations received by my quilt group. My stash is stored as 1. Anything 1/2 yard or more,2 fat quarters 3, 10”squares,4. 5’ Squares, 5. 3” squares, 2.5”squares 1.5” squares 6. Strips 2.5 “ or 1.5”. I store my stash by color with the exception of plain and homespun a category of it’s own.
Anna, Thank you so much for sharing your life with us. This time of social distancing is not a happy time for many of us for I appreciate you coming into my sewing room and sharing your time... I love to go to retreats with friends and my sisters and now those have been cancelled do I just have you to sew with! Deb
Am so glad to see your Tannebaum quilt up on wall again! I’ve just ordered the kit for it and is do to be delivered tomorrow!since my whole studio is packed for our move - Irealized I only have my Juki still here in house, but realized I needed to buy thread, thread scissors, and a rotary cutter!DUH!,!! We should fully moved into rent house by May 15 for at least till end of September!!! So inspire me, Anna!
That was a good description - “caged”. I am a homebody by nature but I always felt I had the freedom to go if I wanted to...we will get through this...”alone but together”. Have a productive and happy rest of your week! Thanks for letting us hang out with you!
I am taking a break from mask making today and finishing a UFO from 2016. I've had all of the quilt blocks made, I just needed to put it all together. Now that I am almost done and see how pretty it looks, I can't believe it took me so long to complete it. Thanks for spending time with us, I enjoy your chats and projects.
You are an absolute darling person. It is like the floss-tubers are on the “front lines” also on the war against Covid 19. You keep your videoed going when you probably would rather not. Hard to keep smiles, encouragement, Nd spreading good cheer.....when you feel frightened and devastated. Keep on keeping on for the sake of all your subscribers. We depend on you for the spark and spice in our lives right now! Bless you, Anna.
Love to see all of your work, Anna. I'm just fascinated with Sue Spargo stitching, but I've never done any wool work, or this kind of stitching, so I'm not sure where I would begin. This may be a "BID" -- just one Sue Spargo project! In the meantime, I'm looking forward to seeing the finished T-shirt quilt, and the finished Tannenbaum quilt (what adjustment? Looks fine to me!). Take care!
Thank you for a visit to the Bee Hive, Anna! Always so enjoyable. Love your Sue Spargo piece and looking forward to seeing your progress in the weeks ahead!
Hi, I have to say I look forward to watching your new video' s everyday. You are definitely my favorite for quilting and stitching. I just love your bee hive!! What a wonderful studio to be able to work in. I have the tree pattern but haven't started it yet. That will have to be a later project for me. I'm getting ready to start a redwork project with a couple of friends here. I love embroidery, find it relaxing. I do need to expand my stitches, have a tendency to stick with the basics. Have a wonderful sewing day! Take care and stay safe.
I've been watching Sue's instastitch every day and Arianna's TH-cam video I've learned so much..and using the stitching on my wool applique. That's really helped me ..thank you for telling us about Arianna enjoying her so much. I hop from project to project so not to get bored..lol I have a whole quarantine store of projects I am doing. Have a great evening and stay safe. Nice visiting with you.
I can feel your frustration working on the Edyta Sitar quilt. I have worked on some of her other quilts and found numerous errors and have had to make adjustments accordingly. I doubt I will ever work on another one of her patterns.
I was able to visit the Olde World Quilt Shoppe twice just before she had to close. I bought supplies for several projects. She is still doing curbside pickup (it's about a 45 minute drive from my home in Chandler), so I will see if she still has the Sue Spargo book Creative Stitches. I did see the Sand Dollar model when I was in the shop and it is gorgeous. Yours looks like it will be as well. I will look into buying some Silk and Pearl (spelling?) thread after Monica is able to open her doors again. Our governor said Arizona could start the reopening process on May 1. (Big cheer!). It would be nice to meet you sometime when you are back in Arizona, perhaps at the Olde World Quilt Shoppe. Thanks, Anna.
hi Ann, lovely to have your company while I am stitching circle 23 of Sue Spargo's 90 circle daily treat or "challenge". Your sand dollars look fabulous. Keep up the great work.Johanna, Tasmania
I too use up leftover pieces and recut for scrappy projects. I can't bear wasting good cotton that I spent hard-earned money on! Plus they're so useful for applique or crazy quilting. Must try your "whoop whoop" when next stitching bullions😁 Thanks for sharing.
Anna, thanks for bringing me to the Beehive while we stitch and chat. We (I believe ) are about the same age and retired RNs. We have so much to chat about, I love the decor of the beehive and your sweetness is comforting to me. I tend to laugh and think I’ll figure it out and not get too crazed about it. Will look for that podcast and definitely will start chopping up my left over material. I’m too scotch to throw it away. Be well. In the am going to spend some stitching dollars at the stitching post. I have no LNS and live in a tiny tiny town. Be safe. All good things to you and G. Thanks for allowing me the privilege to write. Beth
I love your sand dollar wallhanging! Everytime I see it I think I need to do that! So I think I will! Thanks for being my enabler in oh so many things. 😊
The sand dollars remind me of little gems you would find in a treasure chest that belongs to a mermaid 🧜♀️ I admire how you just plunge into doing so many different types of quilting and needle work. I need the inspiration you bring and the laughter too!! I’m so thankful that we met last fall at Buttermilk Basins Meet n Greet. I find that being sheltered at home brings me security. I will be going back to work this week and I do not want to leave this secure place. Linda in Minnesota ❤️
Everyday I am looking on TH-cam hoping you uploaded a new one Stitch or Quilt roadies, I both love them.Sue Spargo is doing a wonderful thing on instagram I admire her and love her stitching too. I stitch while I watch your video, so nice and calming. You feel like a friend to me and in this time of our lives you helped me you 've got the same questions the same strange feelings that I have. We are in this together and we help each other where we can. Thanks Anna I do hope we help you by writing to you. Hope to see you soon !! Your dear friend from the Netherlands
I give my odd shaped scrapes to my cousin. She makes scrap quilts, and likes to have enough that she can make a whole quilt without repeating a fabric.
Right! I have started looking at several things that I don’t want to run out of!!! I am “Spargoing” a wool appliqué piece now and am very thankful for your sharing and the opportunity to stay in touch thru social media. Got to check out your Old World QS!
I love that you run from project to project. I never know what you will be working on from one video to the next! Hope you finished your circle for the day. I finished the pieced backing for a UFO that has been waiting for borders for several years. I had fabric, but no interest in messing with the long strips. Can’t wait for my quilter to start accepting new projects.
Beautiful stitching Anna .. I’m looking forward to Tuesday as we go to level 3 and the craft shops are allowed to open for online shopping and non contact shopping. Yahoooo I need some SF 101 real bad. Thank for being you.😘💐🐝
We all have to just "hang-in". I try to do different crafts but life gets in the way some days. I stay in but the others in my family go to work as usual(hours are decreasing). My Great-grandson is here every day so what I can do is limited. He is almost 7 months, so no deep concentration. Life goes on and "This too shall pass". Stay safe, we love you. Have more of G's music, I love it.
Anna, I would add a 1" to 2" green strip on each side of the row that is above the applique on O'Tannenbom. I think you are wise to first finish the other rows, then go back and adjust, as needed. -- Becca
Anna, I can’t tell you enough how much I love and need your videos especially at this time! You bring a calm to me and I don’t feel so alone! I’m always sad when they end! But I can fix that and I do by watching previous videos! Happy stitching to you and you and G stay well!💕💕💕
Because of Quilt & Stitch Roadies we have reservations to come to Sisters Quilt show as a bucket list item for me this year. Was only able to get into 1 Stacy West class and you and G’s evening.... traveling from Florida in our RV. We have not cancelled anything yet, but am not sure it is a prudent trip! Waiting to see with bated breath, and fingers & toes crossed ...what they are going to do. Be well, my online muse!
Thank you nice again for your company. I so enjoy it. I look forward to both Quilt Roadie and your floss tube. SinceI am new to cross stitching, I am wondering if you use the same thread for your embroidery and your cross stitch. I have used only DMC floss thus far. Perhaps I should do some research!! Stay healthy. I will be watching for your next visit!
I have to say being forced to stay in I’m really using a lot of my stash. I’m also finishing an appliqué elephant quilt which has been sitting around for awhile. I’m taking a break from making face masks because I want to focus on clearing my mind from the situation for a time. I’m hoping the weather will warm up so I can be outside in the yard, this April snow is getting old lol. Love visiting with you Anna.
Another peaceful comforting video. Like I mentioned previously I went back and watched and re-watched your videos from episode 1. And you're a quilt celebrity having taught classes at the retreats. You're an awesome lady. Many of the quilters in the Men Who Quilt Facebook group love your work! Yes...you are my reality quilter...LOL! Thank you for showing us the mountains! When you mentioned the ling-arm quilter neighbor, you inspired me to use my embroidery machine for quilting this week. There's a feature in my software package for stippling motifs on quilt blocks. Keep inspiring!
Anna, you look good. You and G stay well and stay home. We are staying home too. He is diabetic and I have a blood dyspraxia so we stay home. Love your pieces.
Sad to see you left Tucson for the summer! I'm doing the 90 circles challenge with Sue, it's really teaching me a lot. Now it looks like I have to buy the Silken Pearl....I have already bought a lot of the threads from the Sewing Room!! (good thing we get employee discount!)
Thank you for today's video....they are a comfort. And like you, the choices of projects to do in my sewing room are endless! Love the Sue Spargo Sand dollars tho, so I am going to start collecting more wool and threads to put that together! What fabric did you use as your base for the Sand dollars?
So funny, I just found the Sue Spargo group either last night or early this morning and asked to join. I have done almost everything hand stitching and even taught but cataracts made me stop for some time and now just getting back. I was afraid my lack of recent projects might be an issue.
Hey, really enjoy watching your videos. Just was wondering which brand of rotory cutter you use? Not going to say what I use but I'm not happy with it. I'm making mask and trying to stay busy and positive. Elastic is hard to come buy so until my order gets here I'm going to use the t-shirt ties. I personally like them better than the elastic. Stay safe.
I don't see the PBS link about isolation. I realized that I kind of like this "snow day" existence. I sure am getting a lot done around the house but sure miss my kids and grands.........
If you count the number of squares you have, calculate how much yardage it equals, times the cost of fabric per yard, you will be happy you saved those squares!
I really do love that Tannenbaum pattern by Edyta Sitar. The one thing I have learned about myself during all this crazy, is that staying at home is okay with me. My hubby and I have always been homebodies and we have TONS of company as we are crazy cat people (house full). We rarely go out to eat anyway, so being hosed up at home is okay. I work full-time M-F but just from home now (saving alot of gas money). I talk alot on the phone with my co-workers and do Zoom meetings, so I still feel connected. I think the things I miss the most are going to Hobby Lobby and to my local quilt shops and LNS just to roam around even when I don't need anything. Shopping on the internet is not the same because I like to touch things. Hubby always laughs and asks me "Why do you have to touch everything?" I just grin, because my parents said the same thing. Sorry, I like the feel of fabric and pretty things. 😉😉
I love your idea of what to do with the left overs from projects, So nice to see you in the bee hive. I am also doing the Tannenbaum SAL with you. But you are ahead of me !!, I better get cracking. Which rows have corrections?
Love the sand dollar project, I have seen it started a bit ago. I wonder how you outlined your squares. Did you machine stitch your grid? If so, what thread did you use. It almost looks like a Sue thread
Enjoy your visits every time. I was thinking while you were visiting that before leaving for AZ you were also working at times on a flower Sashiko by Sylvia Pippen Design. Did you get it completed? At Quilt Expo 2019 I purchased Butterflies and Sashiko by Sylvia but have not started it yet. On my do it list but probably not till next fall as I enter gardening season in a week or so.
Deborah Goethe - Quilts and Treasures from Massachusetts is sending emails with virtual quilt shows - kind of fun - I don’t know if anyone else is - it is hard, and I am missing going over to the New England Quilt museum-
I just started watching your videos about a year ago. I appreciate all your helpful insights and sewing tips! I absolutely love your sewing studio! I have a smaller quilt room that brings me joy as well! Thank you for your positive outlook and kind words to everyone!
Your visits are always so enjoyable. Keep on being creative!!!!
A sweet part of my day..to sit and listen to you...thankyou Anna...🙋🏼♀️🌻🐝
Thank you for the video. I always look forward to see what you are doing.
Thank you for your videos and talking us thru this new normal. I have been following you for several years, so appreciate watching you.
Thank you for the visit!! Be blessed
I love your reality quilt show....don't change a thing. Your sewing machine quilt is lovely, the Sue Spargo touch is beautiful, yet not something I have the desire to attempt so was glad to admire yours.
Thank you, Anna, for sharing your life in the Bee Hive with us! We love you and your thoughts and projects ❤️🌸🐝🌹
Thank you so much!

Thank you for sharing link to podcast. Stay well and continue with your projects. They serve as inspiration.
Hi Anna. Thanks again for a dose of relaxation. You are such a gift to all of us. I even had a few chuckles, something else that's much needed in these times. Stay safe and healthy.
you are so kind
Wow!!! I love your studio. And your mom’s stove, how awesome! Your projects are gorgeous!
Your videos are so important to me. I love your insights. Tips and tricks. You are truly a friend online. Thanks so much.

I really appreciate your honesty and sincerity. This is a different time and we must learn from it. Thanks for sharing.

A nice visit with you in the BeeHive. Raining here today so it's a good time to sew, thanks for the inspiration! XO
I surely enjoy your visits from the beehive. You are important in my life.

Anna, I would add a 1" to 2" green strip on each side of the row that is above the applique on O'Tannenbom. I think you are wise to first finish the other rows, then go back and adjust, as needed. -- Becca
great option!
Anna, I can’t tell you enough how much I love and need your videos especially at this time! You bring a calm to me and I don’t feel so alone! I’m always sad when they end! But I can fix that and I do by watching previous videos! Happy stitching to you and you and G stay well!💕💕💕
I'm so glad! we gotta stick together
So sad that our life has changed...please come to the redo in 2021
Ohhhhh, I can’t wait to see your tee shirt quilt 🌞
Thank you nice again for your company. I so enjoy it. I look forward to both Quilt Roadie and your floss tube. SinceI am new to cross stitching, I am wondering if you use the same thread for your embroidery and your cross stitch. I have used only DMC floss thus far. Perhaps I should do some research!! Stay healthy. I will be watching for your next visit!
That’s how I feel Anna. Like someone or something is controlling my life. I’m so glad you’re making more frequent videos.
Jan Kubillus we will want abit of cling and refreshing snow come the hot heat of summer. I’ll take snowy, cool weather any day.
I know but over a 100 degrees is a bit much, lol....you are going to LOVE silken pearl
I just joined ❤️
Thank you for today's video....they are a comfort. And like you, the choices of projects to do in my sewing room are endless! Love the Sue Spargo Sand dollars tho, so I am going to start collecting more wool and threads to put that together! What fabric did you use as your base for the Sand dollars?
I used a wool base
So funny, I just found the Sue Spargo group either last night or early this morning and asked to join. I have done almost everything hand stitching and even taught but cataracts made me stop for some time and now just getting back. I was afraid my lack of recent projects might be an issue.
Wonderful! hope you join us for the fun!
I sure am getting a lot done around the house but sure miss my kids and grands.........
added it :)
Please show us the scrub caps that you made. Maybe on your next video?? Thanks.
Opps I told a tale only number 8!
Love the sand dollar project, I have seen it started a bit ago. I wonder how you outlined your squares. Did you machine stitch your grid? If so, what thread did you use. It almost looks like a Sue thread
I did a loose basting stitch by machine then I did a running stitch with Sue thread over the top :)
@@quiltroadies1695 Great! thank you, I may even get mine started now.... Just maybe!
Quilt ninja😂😂😂
Please add the PBS podcast link. Thank you.
woopwoop!!
we love to woop
Hi Anna,I was wondering where you got your design wall . Thanks.
G made it :)
Not mistakes just design choices.
On my do it list but probably not till next fall as I enter gardening season in a week or so.
need to get back to it!
Don't see the PBS link you mentioned about isolation.
I added it :)
Our quilt show was already canceled! This is starting to become more mental
Deborah Goethe - Quilts and Treasures from Massachusetts is sending emails with virtual quilt shows - kind of fun - I don’t know if anyone else is - it is hard, and I am missing going over to the New England Quilt museum-
so sad
