Anna you make my day....I soooo love your videos and seeing all your wonderful projects. Your Christmas quilt is adorable as well as the others. I can't wait til I'm retired and have more time to quilt and cross stitch like you....only 1 year, 9 months, 3 days and a few hours - but who the heck is counting 😃 just gotta dodge the Covid til then working in a hospital. 😲 stay safe and healthy everyone and make every day and every stitch count. Love ya!!!
Look forward seeing you everyday, watching all the old ones. You’re the only friend I have that’s a stitcher, quilter, etc. so I’m not as lonely. I’m 77 and have been quilting since I’ve been 24. I used to do cruel work and cross stitch but quilting is my love and especially appliqué, you’ve encouraged me to catch up on all my ufos. Now I order bowl me over book want to tackle wool appliqué, thanks.
I just wanted to drop a note to say thank you for transporting me out of my life today. While working on a quilt for my friend of 25 years who found out two weeks ago she has cancer. I have my headphone on watch your channel from the start. If dealing with the virus wasn't bad enough. Our area was flooded this week do two damn break's. Towns around us have been wiped out Sandford and Midland Michigan where I work and many coworks live. My husband job layoff went from temporary from the virus to permanent and I feel guilt because we still have a home while many around us dont have anything left. I cant believe that this has all happened in the last three weeks and quilting and TH-cam is getting me thought it. Hug G and count your blessings.
Hi Anna, loved all of your show and tell. I agree, fabric does speak to us. Seeing this video has inspired me to get a couple of my tops quilted and bound. Well, stay well and safe. Until next time.
Hi Anna, I really enjoyed this video. So many of the things you showed us I just loved! I recently ordered that lemonade wool kit too, but haven't made it yet. Thanks so much for taking the time to share with all of us. Especially now, I'm certain we can all agree you're a big ray of sunshine in our day!
Thanks for the visit and your show and tell. You are one of the busiest stitchers I know of. I'm still in a funk and your posts help to nudge me closer to my sewing machine every time I watch you. The fabric for your backings is perfect and those little creatures are adorable. I would be tempted to attach their eyes in unexpected places like their palms and feet and maybe an eyeball where a bellybutton belongs. Thanks again for the visit. I'm already looking forward to the next one.
You are such a joy to watch, listen to and be inspired by!! I really had to laugh so hard at the dolls when you described them with the long hair and nails during our quarantine!! I will be chuckling all day about that! I took a picture of the long haired doll to capture that feeling!! I’m in the full out fun of Maynia...but you really inspired me to get going on a holiday quilt. Yours are so fun and pretty!! I did get a pattern and material at The Stitching Post (I met you there) last fall that is now on my to do list!! Stitching love from Susie in the Carolina Smokey Mountains!
So great to hang out with you today while I made dinner. (I hate to cook and you took the curse out of it, ha ha) I love your work. I too cross stitch and quilt!.
I agree I don't want to use my fat quarters to piece backing, I may need them for the front of another quilt. Enjoyed seeing your quilt tops, I have a few (7) to quilt too. Thank you for sharing your time with us.
Hi Anna, I just love your Christmas quilt (I guess that what it is) and your Fourth of July quilt! They are beautiful! Stay safe! I love you too Anna! Xoxo 💋
I have completed Its a Grand Old Flag quilt and it has been sitting in my 'to quilt pile. I must get to it. I love it and purchased the kit when I was out at Old World Quilt Shoppe 😥.
Loved your quilt tops. I quilted for 18+ years and loved the piecing process but not the quilting process. I have about 25 tops completed that need to be quilted...haha. I use to sew pieces together for backing. I love the look of a "surprise" backing.
Do you ever do button hole machine applique? I have done both. I will never forget a quilt teacher who told me I didn't belong at their group because I wanted perfection and it wasn't attainable with a new quilter.....definitely gave me something to think about after I dealt with my hurt feelings. What fun to have a Halloween and Christmas quilt ready to use when the seasons come upon us. I really like those backings you chose for each.
My sister gave me some half yard pieces from that Christmas line a few years ago. She bought it because it has a moose on it and I decorate with moose at Christmas. Good to know where I might find more. Also, I saw and like the same two fabrics (and others) on the Olde World Quilt Shoppe's website. May have to order some! Thanks, Anna.
Yes, Anna, I know the day....May 18th. On this day in 1980, Mt. St. Helens erupted. On this day in 2020, dentists were allowed to reopen. My Invisalign journey was supposed to have ended mid-March, but it happened yesterday instead, and I started getting new crowns. I have a new smile! Two oral surgeries, braces, and crowns, thousands of dollars, and my new smile is HIDDEN BEHIND FACE MASKS!! Lol. 😂😂😂 Glad you're well. Thank you for all your and G's videos!
Hi Anna. just love your videos. i wish we hd more quilt shops up here in Calgary Alberta. i jus received som mug rugs in wool to do. get so much inspiration from you.I have had a stroke and open heart surgery so hard to get motivated these days. Thanks for all of the encouragement you give . god bless and stay safe. Bonnie Thompson
Love the Gingiber quilt - a have some yardage and panels myself...... but not done anything with them :(. Glad you are enjoying Midsomer Murders. There are a lot of seasons to get through. I am telling you there is no-one left alive in the county!!!!
I just love you! Those backing fabrics are perfect for those quilts. I am doing some quilting, some other sewing, and knitting. I am uniquely qualified for staying at home for long periods of time.
Hi Anna, I loved this video and spending time with you in the beehive! All of the projects you are working on are fabulous! That tree backing fabric is perfect for that quilt top. Thanks for sharing with us. Pam Miller
Hi Anna, I loved seeing what you are working on, I have watched several other of your videos and love watching them , we sound so much alike that we could be BFF's. I live just over the hill from you ( Sweet Home), and have been in Sisters often. Love your projects, Keep posting, you have inspired me to get to working more in my sewing room.
Anna, you made my day with a new Bee Hive day. Could you post your zigzag setting for your leaf applique? HAD SO MUCH FUN VISITING WITH YOU ON YOU TUBE TODAY!
Hi Anna, lovely to see you in the beehive this morning, like you I have a sewing sanctuary and feel so lucky. I thought those primitive fabrics were so lovely and perfect for the lemons project. Its good to see you doing some quilting work, after 10 years I have virtually abandoned quilting for cross stitching and have to say that is down to my friend Sue who put me onto you which was about the same time as you started stitch roadies and the wonderful community of floss tube. My hubby has gone into hospital today and is very poorly (not covid), without flosstube I would feel very isolated and lonely, you are all giving me and others a lifeline and should definately be prescribed on the NHS as insanity busters lol.. I thought those crochet creatures were gorgeous and will really appeal to little ones, cant wait to see the eyes you attach. I am carrying on with my first stitch maynia and loving it all, have 14 projects on the go and have made project bags for all of them, life can be so joyous 😃😃Take care Anna, lots of love and looking forward to seeing you again, Kathy, Devon, UK xx
Wow that was a feast to the eyes Anna ...so many wonderful things to look at. Love all your projects and the alphabet quilt turned out so beautiful...loved the Jane and Dick fabric..brings back a lot of memories for certain people 🤪. And I think you scored rather well with the backing fabrics. I can guess what the fabrics were screaming at you ...buy me buy me buy meeee 😂🤣.😘💐
So enjoy watching you. Your enthusiasm for all things “woolie” got me hooked. Am finishing a buttermilk basin quilt now. Your hints and tips are so helpful. By our quilt are inspiring. Live your honesty and ability to be so candid. Hope to see you in sisters at some rime.
Perfect fabric backing for the Halloween quilt. I've never missed watching a Midsomer Mystery as unlike many they're not for real so I can enjoy being entertained.
Morning ...having my coffee and sewing masks for a very poor reservation who needs them. Nice to listen to you and you always have share worthies to me....it’s been raining for 2 days here....🥰
I can machine applique better than hand applique. At least my stitches seem more uniform on my machine. I use the blanket stitch..i should try the zig zag stitch! You either need to come quilt and stitch with Cheryl and me ...or we need to come quilt and stitch with you ❤️ that is a gorgeous quilt!!!! Omg those crochet monsters...ADORABLE ;) what a great idea for the ABC quilt! Perfect backing for your halloween quilt ;) this is a fun watch 😃
Just loved your quilt you are working on. I have not found my mojo for quilting with this pandemic.....however. That quilt speaks to me....I Could Not hear the name or the designer. I am going to get this pattern....I feel I finally found something that may put the joy back in my sewing room. So if you could please send me the information I will be greatful... Thank you so much I watch you when ever I can...God bless...💗💗💗💗
Anna, I loved everyone of your quilts. The Christmas one was just so cute and you found the perfect backing. Thank you for the show and tell. Stay well until we get to see you again.
I really enjoyed seeing what you have been up to in the Bee Hive. I love your Christmas Quilt, the backing fabric you chose is going to look perfect on it. Thank you for another wonderful video.
Thanks for sharing all the fun projects. Oh yes, do me and my family all need hair cuts. Is G getting shaggy? I 'm taking a mask break in favor of some trip around the world jelly roll strips blocks. Say a prayer for patience and success.
This is my favorite kind of time to spend with you! Love seeing all your UFO’s..it gives me inspiration to get mine planned out like you do. Life is better with undone projects is my book!
Did you know squirrels were carnivours too? Last week, I saw a squirrel sitting on a tree stump gnawing away at something between his hands. It was a frog!! Yes, a frog. I haven't been able to figure how all these holes are getting in my lawn and I thought it was voles. Nope, it was squirrels looking for worms. But the crowning glory was this same squirrel carried off a mouse, rat or an offspring. Still not sure because he scared the devil out of me as I was coming out the back door. Nope I don't like gray squirrels. Give me a cute red one any day. Love the wovens, Anna. But what, in your book, constitutes a "woven"? I'm thinking it's a heavy weave compared to a 40 count linen???? The green creature looks like something from Shrek, in a good way!. Thanks for sharing, Anna. You have some beautiful projects there and I can see you're well on your way to completing a lot of them. Good for you!!! Take care and have a great day!
My 2 cents worth on backing fabric. I have been collecting fabric that I thought would make a great backs. But I dont start my design with the back. I still have to go hunting and buy backs. Started giving the old backs away for PPE.
Love your update. My problem is going on line for one item but then order more so I don't pay shipping. In reality it would be cheaper to buy the one item and go ahead and pay shipping
That tree fabric you're going to use for the backing is absolutely perfect! As an advid cross stitcher (and viewer of stitch roadies) this is the first time I've seen G! You guys are so cute!
Your quilts are amazing! I LOVE all three!!!💕💕💕 I guess I must go check out Olde World quilt shop! I need some of those wovens too! They are also speaking to me! Take care and stay well! Happy stitching!
Hi Anna. Oh my those creatures were hilarious. 😆 i was laughing at the one who needed a pedi and mani so badly. This was fun, as your visits always are. Thanks for sharing with us.
Thanks for checking in. You have inspired me to get moving in my sewing room. Have watched all of Midsomer Murders and really enjoyed them! Hope to see you again soon!
Glad to find you again ,I use to follow you when you travel around and went into different stores on your travels. I even ordered a purse pattern in Arizona from your videos. You are now on my YT to watch when you ring the bell. Stay safe
Loved seeing what your working on. I tell my husband we need to stop at a store because I can hear it calling my name. (That’s when they were open). He has never challenged me and has stopped. Fabric does the same. Just gotta have it. Sometimes I don’t even know how I’m going to use it. Enjoy!!! Thanks for sharing your quilts today. 💜🧡💙💚
Anna you've lost your head in this video. lol. Loved the quilt tops you are getting finished up. The Halloween one :) You keep going with or without your head attached in the video.
I use the blanket stitch on my machine because I can’t control the zigzag stitch! I do not usually buy backing fabric ahead of finishing a quilt top either! I have lots of stash but very little yardage!
I love the roadrunner! My. dad's favorite character in Bugs Bunny cartoons and the mascot of my MS: Richbourg. Roadrunners. My good friend is going to LOVE your Halloween pieces.
OMG!!! I laughed so hard. My mom and I just finished the 21st season of Midsomer Murders this Thursday! We started watching it last summer and didn’t think we would finish any time soon but quarantine helped speed us along!
I have made 3 different masks and can't say that there is one I really like but as a nurse, I loved the tie ones. I cannot have potato chips in the house as they will NOT stop calling to me. And it seems very rude to ignore them.......
Ok Anna, where do I find the pattern for It’s A Grand ‘Ol Flag pattern? I checked the 3 quilt shops you listed above & could not find it. Love your TH-cam & flosstube shows!!!

Good camera shot of SF101 on the back of the border. Then machine appliqué shows up really well.
Fabric does have a voice but is also good with song and dance routines!!😂😂
I have made 3 different masks and can't say that there is one I really like but as a nurse, I loved the tie ones. I cannot have potato chips in the house as they will NOT stop calling to me. And it seems very rude to ignore them.......
