    The first time I saw a d45 I thought it was too fancy for me. Then I saw this and changed my mind. Years of thinking one thing shattered by one guitar.

    Dayum, amazing sound for a new guitar and at 1/4 of the price of the real deal. Why does Martin insist on put a thicker coat of lacquer on their stock giutars 🤔

    • @tommylitchfield3450
      @tommylitchfield3450 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You have to spray the lacquer thicker to ensure that you don't burn through the finish when buffing to that super high gloss.

    Looks like a 42.
    Is that the proper colour of the wood after the vts treatment, Or have they sprayed it with toner. Like the idea of a bigger lower bout. Would love to try. I'm lucky I have a d42.

    Thanks for amazing video. With such a rare guitar, and I think the same model Paul Simon, Neil Young, have, and Chet Atkins had... what is the story behind the guitar? Who did you get it from and how much did the former owner play it? So authentic I think means it's actually an original, right? How many of them were made? 1936 was the middle of the Great Depression, so probably not many could afford this back then. This I think, I'm only amateur, would be a find that would make the covers of magazines.

      Depends what you mean by "sound quality"?? If it's the rosewood tonality you're looking for then would be worth looking at a good HD28..a decent step up from a standard D28.... however..if it's just "THE MARTIN" tone you're looking for... Then I recommend a D18 reimagined... Martin at the moment are knocking it out the park with the latest d18's... probably about the best new d18's they have ever made!!! But if you're happy to put $5k into a Martin acoustic, then I sincerely suggest you go out and play as many Martin's in your price range.. until you find the right one... Not all d28's sound the same...not all d18's sound the same..not all d45's sound the same!!! $5k.... should net you a killer Martin!!! 👍

      @@overbuiltlimitedits not that i dont like bluegrass. On demos of martins. You hear it the most. Sure the brazilian d45 is at home. And you hear why brazilian works best for it. But i just want to hear the guitar in all walks. Madagascar rosewood can flop a little when over excited. Which is why it can really sing with softer and slower playing. Brazilian does have a punctuality that only comes out from active playing like this. You only hear the wood alive when its constantly pushed.
      So id like to hear it played to where we can hear the rosewood die out when played
