I played my first round with my PXG Allan putter. I am a 15.5 index. I had 31 putts which is 4 putts below my average. I had zero 3 putts. I had 3 birdies on the back 9. It took some getting used to but my back 9 showed me the potential.

Sam Hahn makes the point that unless other companies are willing to hand-build each putter to make sure the balance is correct, they will not achieve true zero torque through the stroke. That is probably not a commitment many mass producers would be willing to make.

I had an early version of the Directed Force 2.1 called a Reno. I currently have a MEZZ1. My current gamer is the Odyssey Toe Up #7. It was / is Odyssey’s version of a low / no torque putter. I believe the toe up line was around 2016. Although I am a fan of LAB and I absolutely believe they are 100% legit, I prefer the look / feel of the Toe Up.
After testing the PXG Allan, I believe it is more similar to the Odyssey Toe Up tech than the LAB tech. That stated, both work very well and more low / no torque putters are coming as LAB 100% is changing the game.

I have carried a 44" and 45" driver both for years. The 44 is a Titleist 910D 12* and 45" is a Mizuno STX 10.5 *. The 910 is a fairway finder all day long. Still has good carry distance because it a little spinny but if you need short grass it's a killer for that. I just don't carry a real 3 wood but a 16.5* TM M4 - 3 wood that is more like a 4 wood. You have to give up something to carry two drivers !

I Struggled my entire golfing life (45 years) Ive struggled with figure 8 backstrokes with my putter. Tried every putter style and amount of toe throw with zero difference. Culminated in a last ditch effort to throw the entire kitchen sink at this problem. I got fitted in a quintic lab, to my new evenroll putter with a BGT shaft. $1,100.00 (Canadian) and ....same struggles. Putting mirrors, gate drills etc, no change. Desperate and impulsive, I bought a LAB DF3 without ever seeing one in real life. Online fitting tool, several emails back and forth with LAB and outfitted with the TPT shaft. $1,350.00 (Canadian including exchange, tax, shipping, duty etc) Holy !!! I now know that this will be the putter I use the rest of my life. All the mind clutter trying to find a grip, stance, elbow position etc to get a stroke to work back and through is gone. It's on rails with no effort. I just worry about line and speed and I will guarantee that after golfing a summer with all my usual friends, cost would be the only thing that keeps a bunch of them from getting a LAB. It is a cheat code and I can't believe how good it is. Now if I could read greens better:).

One of the main reasons I struggled with the LAB putters, is the weight. The Allen feels great, looks great and putts great. I don't really care what the revealer shows. Guys, I actually have a “ mega mini driver”, but it is 440cc. I built a Maltby KE4 Pro driver at 44” long and added enough weight to the clubhead through the sole weight port to achieve a D3 swingweight. It works great as a “control driver”, although it is sort of like a larger version of the mini driver.

I was amazed/thrilled/shocked to be included in the PXG Allan test through MGS. I've only been able to use it for one round so far, but it made a huge difference. I averaged 1.56 putts per hole. (My liftetime average is 2.1 pph) I had ZERO three-putts! I've never used a LAB putter, but from watching the video, I really feel like the two brands are trying to do different things. LAB wants their club to have zero rotation during the swing. PXG wants the club to rotate. Of course the club is going to act funny in the tester of the other brand. That's not what the club was designed for! They each had a different goal in mind when they designed it. I think each club has reached their desired goal.

There’s been some other cometitors and if they stay in their lane and don’t make false claims, we dont make videos.
