I think the coldest night on my boat was about 27 once. And a few around 35°, without heat, still fun. Wool, sheepskins bedding and hat over my eyes made the night. . . . You should hop ashore in your tux, from the kayak, the ladies will think you're James Bond! Nice passage, rock on.
@@sailingsecondhalf I’ll probably see you guys there! I’m still hoping a good window pops up for the i65 route to USVI’s but the Bahamas are more likely
I try to find food banks that are in walking distance. Everywhere I go , to stockpile the boat. Hell i'm poor I need all the help I can get. And a boat full of beans and peanut butter. Is a good boat. Hey trout! How do you cook you're trout? Do you season it with herbs. Or do you marinate it in the some wine or alcohol. Or a little bit of both. :-)
Well now that depends on the trout. Sea trout I’ll fillet, cube, bread and fry. It’s alright but I’m not a huge seatrout fan. Freshwater trout I like to gut, stuff with herbs, cover in butter and cook whole until the entire skeleton slides out as one piece. Honestly though, I’ll eat fish anyway but raw
It’s awesome what you’re doing I would love to just hop in my boat and go traveling around. I’ve got the 22 foot hunter but I have a question. Do you just like work and then save up and just go off for months at a time or do you pick up work at different areas you go to like the Bahamas and stuff do you just go gather up or where you wanna go to where you end up at I’m just trying to figure out how to do it and afford to do it at the same time
@@rogerrolandbelanger4762 good questions and it’s absolutely possible! I work here and there whenever the opportunity arises. Sometimes for a day, sometimes for a few months; or anywhere in between. I never really know where I’m going only that I’ll get there eventually. The best advice I have for you is stock your boat up with food, count the money in your pocket (doesn’t matter how much but it’s a good thing to know), and SEND IT!
Yeah it’s a bummer, it lasted a year and was only supposed to be temporary though. I cut it out of a spare piece of plywood a friend had(not marine grade) figuring it would maybe last for 3 months in the Bahamas
Do appreciate you actually using your sails. I see more than one so called sailing channels all thay do is motor. There's no skill in that! Damn pussys... I don't know if you have the technology. I was wondering if you could put up? A map and show your routes. And give good reference points. I'm more of a visual person. And maybe point out good to anchoring butts , Places to get food and water . And places to avoid because of assholes. You know, just called a review of what you've come across. Like sweet spots, Just a 100 yd from the water. You can get beer and fuel At a dinky do convenience store Type thing.
I definitely HATE running the engine. There were a few videos on the way coming up the ICW that were mostly motoring and holy shit it drive me nuts. It does take skill to run the engine though… because those damn things cause me more problems than anything else! I’ve ended some of my videos with my final track but I have to get better at that. I track with a Garmin InReach so I can screenshot it after. I’ll try to get better about that! I’ll also try and point out the good spots as I go. I don’t like to review places to avoid though as my experience may be different. I have had a great time in places that other people said to stay away from and vice versa
Love the videos man. Inspiring for sure. Keep on keeping on
Thank you! 🙏
The adventure continues…..
Always!
That sunsets was on another level

Trout, how do you pay for things? Did you save money at a earlier time?
TH-cam made me rich, racking in like $20 a month 😂
I work odd jobs here and there
Got it
Thinking about the ramen noodles, do you have a microwave?
Nope no microwave
The average depth in the Chesapeake is around 13 Ft, so yeah, you are going to be beating into most of the time.
I’m just grateful to be out of there now! It was beautiful, but cold and choppy
Is this a real sailing video,or are you a comedian 😂🤣
I’ll leave that to the viewer’s discretion!
Nnooooooooo. What happened to the beard ?
Big ol gust o wind knocked it right off!
@ you look line a hundred years younger. Now you will have to show ID to buy beer
@TheCornucopiaProject-bd5jk 😂😂
